  • That is so weird. I acted in a play last year for my school and a girl gave a close pin. I kept it for the show and we had a great night, so I decided it was my good luck charm.

  • did he really carry clothespins everywhere? not a bad idea...

  • Ha, she is like loved it...loved it.. here are my panties, smell them and call me!!

  • OMG, he says he carries them everywhere for good luck...how cute, from now on I'm doing the same thing :] But how much are u willing to sell those for girl?

  • Loved this movie so much.

  • this film was fucking awful

  • The uploader says shes the interviewer, So did you keep the clothes pin?

  • @MakeupCoutureTV Yes, I have it!

  • Cate Blanchett was GREAT on this film!!!

  • Enjoyed the clip. It's just sad watching lives lived, now gone forever, just like that. Who knows what goes on behind the smiles. I never knew he was from the UK? I detect the English accent.

  • @Catlovertea4 He was Australian.

  • "you just want me to say what you want me to say!" lmfao--- he would hate that. or maybe he would think that its fucking hilarious

  • what a darling he gave the reporter one of his pins!! aww i wonder if she kept it? he's..was..so smart and funny i love him!<3 .thanks

  • "That's an interesting way of looking at it." Haha, that was so cute. Along with his little laughter which either showed his vulnerability or him genuinely not being sure if she genuinely meant it in a good way. I could be wrong, but it's still cute, nonetheless.

  • It was one of the few unguarded moments of Heath's. I'd interviewed him before many times, but this -- I think -- was the best. For me, anyway, because I loved the movie so much. (And yes, I really did mean "interesting" in a good way. FYI, I saw Dr. Parnassus and loved it. My review is at horrordotcom if anyone wants to read it.

  • I could see you enjoyed doing this interview & I could see he enjoyed it as well. Heath came off as a vulnerable man, esp. in this interview. I'm sure others would disagree but that's how I always saw him.

  • she better keep that close pin FOREVER!

  • i really enjoyed this interview good questions for a change!

  • jim morrison

  • she better sill has those pins

  • this is great!

    this is great!

    this is great!

Thank you for that great interview! one of my favs from now :-)

  • Absolutely. And thank you. I really enjoyed talking to them about the film, because I loved it so much. When you interview hundreds of people a year, as I do, there are only a few that are truly memorable. This was one such day. As for negative comments, there are haters everywhere... I simply do the best I can, while maintaining my own personality. Not everyone will like it, and malcontents tend to be the most active posters. So, thank you again for saying something positive.

  • i think people are usually proud and at that case it's easier to be negative and criticise than acknowledge the truth.

don't you have any other videos/reports about him??

  • I sent you a PM. I have my interviews with Heath on The Brothers Grimm, and The Dark Knight, online. Plus a lot more on I'm Not There. -- Best, Staci

  • I love this interview so much - and I would like to see more about Heath, please

  • Thank you. He seemed pretty complex... My first interview with him was for The Four Feathers. His demeanor did change over the years (in a good way), though never seemed to get comfortable with these quick, sound-bitey type of interviews. But... was pleased to talk about I'm Not There -- it posed a good challenge for him as an actor.

  • Thank you! I'm always interested to hear something about Heath from people who have met him. Do you have some more interwievs?

  • Wow, you totally nailed it. So true. I still can't believe that Heath is gone btw...taken away at such a young age is beyond tragic. I feel really bad for his family...especially his daughter. Incredibly heartbreaking...

  • I really wanna know if Stacy still has the clothes pins what she had got from Heath<3...

  • Yes, I still have it.

  • how lucky you are!!:)

if someday You decide to throw it out, please let me know 'cause I'd like to get it then:)...

by the way i loved that interview, this is one of my favourite and dont care about people who write bad comments!!

  • What clothes pins?

  • no no. misses the whole essence of dylan.none of the characters even get close to the nuances of bob..

.dylan was a put on comedian ,shy and self effacing.this is not "cooooool"in the usa

the interviewer epitomizes the "thinking "cultured yanks who believe any thing they read in the correct mags.speaks mince and likes velvet goldmine ...ha ha ha

  • your inability to utilize proper grammar makes it impossible to decipher what the fuck you're saying.

  • dont be such a pedant.if you are constrained and limited by punctuation then keep it too your self.dont try and neuter people who may be a bit more artistic/abstract and free flowing.rules are for squares.

  • honey, just because you have bad grammar doesn't mean you're an artist.

  • Thanks, kindly.

  • so why does he keep the clothes pins? idont get it

  • We don't really know for sure and I think we should keep it that way, to preserve his mystique, much like heath and Todd Haynes did with Bob Dylan.

  • @hijohnkim its good luck he just likes it

  • No worries. Thank you. I honestly do enjoy my job, and talking with these folks. I am a cinephile, so being able to talk with filmmakers isn't something I take lightly -- although I do try and keep an enthusiastic, hopefully humorous approach where appropriate.

  • "On the reverse, there are lots of people I don't like to interview, but I have to because it's my job. It's probably very easy for you to make snap judgements, but you weren't there. I was. "

    ********************************************

Okay, that's fair. My comment was harsh and unfair, so I decided to remove it. It's true that I wasn't there and it's wrong of me to hastily pass judgement. I didn't mean to offend you, Ms. Wilson, and I'm sorry if I did.

  • CONT'D... True, he didn't like doing interviews, but that's part of the business. On the reverse, there are lots of people I don't like to interview, but I have to because it's my job. It's probably very easy for you to make snap judgements, but you weren't there. I was. On another note, I highly recommend I'm Not There: one of the best movies, ever. It's in my top 10.

  • It seemed clear to me that you were genuine when you said, "That's an interesting way of looking at it." And it also seemed that Heath was aware of your sincerity.

He didn't seem to be a fan of interviews in general, but he seemed fairly comfortable with you here and I think you did a good job.

  • aww miss yuu heath x

  • i REALLY need to see this movie!

  • he was great in it

  • good bye heath...peace man

  • Thanks Tvwire!

    Deborah Reis

    A Flauta da Lua...

    The Moon's Flute...

  • so glad he won the oscar, seems such a kl guy, it's wierd how in his films he seems so confident but yet seems very shy in interviews, think maybe actin was his outlet

  • s'pose tht would make sense

  • Are you an actor?

  • that's not true at all. and I'm an actor.

  • awh bless his heart.

    Such a wonderful person.

    x

  • btw the interviewer must do great blowjobs, there's no other rational explanation on how she got this job, being the fucktard she is.

  • From the interviewer, Staci Layne Wilson: That was extremely rude and totally uncalled for. It certainly says more about you than it does about me. While I'm interviewing the stars for a living, you are watching them on YouTube, spewing hate. Sad...

  • I think your beautiful and very cool

  • Kind of you to say. Most people only take the time for negativity.

So - the Oscars are tonight! Any predictions for Heath?

  • I was hoping he would win and he did. I'm glad because he was a wonderful actor and a great person. He was one of a kind.

  • i like to she try with me hehe

  • couldn't agree more

  • how the fuck did heath manage to od on fucking ambien?

where are the times when stars used to od on ten gallons of whiskey 10-20 lines of coke a couple of grams of acid and a few nights in a row of partying...

fuck...we are in the pathetic days of patheic people od-ing on fucking ambien...

  • ehh! heath ledger was hot it sux he died

  • anyone know what his tattoo says (on his right arm... at least i think it's a tattoo)

  • old man river ..

  • when hes asked " you want one" you can see in his eyes he looked so tired and sttressed out,,and the touching of him self is a sign of the perks and the oxy's..

    but he's still brilliant..

  • wow, i wouldn't have seen that. his accent had become "morphed", part aussie...part usa...

  • her hair is blue man :S

  • Really nice to here from you Staci : )It's overwhelming to here from a person who actually has met Heath (haha): ). And great that you have kept that clothes pin.

Ps. I still would like to know that one word at 4:50 . If anyone could tell me.. I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

  • Oh. He said "I just carry these things everywhere." There's a little glitch in the sound.

  • What does Heath say in the end "I just __?__ these things everywhere..." What's that one word?

  • From the interviewer: There toward the end he says, "The slice of the story Charlotte and I are in kind of chronicles his struggles with kind of balancing his love life, and his family life. His professional life and his family life. And that's really it; it's just kind of a moment in time kind of thing. Less of a physical portrayal, and more of just a tone." BTW, I just watched the movie again last week. It's truly one of my all-time favorites. In the forever top 10, for sure. --Staci

  • @HeartOnEdge he said ''do''

  • What an actor. His performances in the Dark Knight, Brokeback Mountain and I'm Not There are the best of this century so far. What a loss.

  • relax mate, you might be getting too exited

  • I speak soberly Tomas! The only actor to come close this decade is Daniel Day Lewis. Do you have an opinion?

  • Whoa she's irritating, her voice is extremley irritating and she was being kind of a bitch to Heath because he had a clothes pin, like big deal! It's a real shame he's gone :( such a gorgeous and talented actor.

  • I can't help what my voice sounds like. Let's hear yours sometime. I thought the clothes pins were noteworthy. I still have it. I'd interviewed Heath many times before that, beginning with A Knight's Tale. I was on the set of TDK. On this day, he remembered that, and said he liked that I still had the blue streak in my hair. FYI: He was ill at ease with everyone when being officially interviewed, but he was chatty and smiley before and after the cameras were rolling.

  • he gave her that clothes pin, dam she better have not thrown that away, shes lucky..

  • placebo effect?

  • well uh after the joker role/death heath became probably the most well-known actors in american at least. I garuntee she would get some money for that. quite a bit. a few hundred probably. maybe more. yeah people are weird. I wouldn't buy something like that.

So, I don't know if that was a joke what you said but if not, you are a dumb mofugga in politest terms.

  • @FivetillMidnight68 fuck you crapbag go to hell

  • Comment removed

  • Why do you leave retarded comments?

  • she's kinda dumb

  • Considering the source, I will take that as a compliment.

  • He did a damn good job in this movie. Its a shame to see him go. He was a great talent.

  • In contrast to the trend, I really enjoyed the film. I thought that all the threads became intact, kinda, after a while. I've watched it 3 times now and it gets clearer, which maybe detracts from it's value. Watched it with an open idea of what it could be and thought back to all the last 40+ years I've wondered what makes him tick, and still no closer really except it's complicated. Fascinating man who the movie didn't get any closer to revealing.

  • europeon???

which country was the movie made by???

  • Yes; Todd Haynes was influenced by European filmmakers in the making of I'm Not There. Particularly the visuals.

  • Well it was filmed in Montreal.

  • hmm clothes pins. thats strange

  • I didn't really understand this movie at all

  • you should watch no direction home

  • The film didn't work. It was an absolute mess, and there's no bigger Dylan fan than my sons and I. For example, using direct quotes from press conferences (that Dylan fans know word for word!) was an elementary mistake because their coolness (to use a modern word) were relevant in the moment they were spoken (and survive in documentaries) but become downright embarrassing when repeated 25 years later by an actor. Loads more points but the film doesn't deserve them.

  • I agree..the film was crap...but ledgers scenes were pretty good..especially the "chicks ain't poets" scene...hahah...that shit was funny..."god is a woman!"

  • My dad also didn't like it, but then he refused to watch the whole thing through. To me, it is an artistic masterpiece in that it doesn't read like an ordinary classic rock biopic (Ray, Walk the Line) but tries to do something on a different level. It parallels the indescribability of the man himself, and uses both real and imagined elements to do so, just as Dylan has been known to do when talking of his own life.

  • Also, the film was visually breathtaking, and had a wonderful poetic quality. Not everything has to be linear to "work".

  • was this taken before... or after dark knight? movie i mean

  • This was after Heath was finished filming The Dark Knight.

  • =( I want one of heath's clothes pins

  • hazor777, why Cate Blanchett i wonder, you fucking sexist dickead

  • i dont know why people are complain about cate blancett being bob dylan i personaly think its a unquie visal idea. its to bad that thier's not too many people who are aware of healths better films like lords of dog town and im not there so far looks like a good movie. don't get me wrong he did amazing as the joker but that wasn't his only good role. personaly i never liked the patriot,a knight tale. the dark knight however was an amazing work of art. i hope im not threr is just as amazing.

  • to be totally honest i am not a bob dylan fan i never liked his sining but i love his lyrical writeing. i am only a fan of his poerty. i also find him very intersting person. this film looks very artistc so i probely would like it. i like the idea getting six actors to play bob dylan

  • whats with all the airheads on this message board. I was hopeing to to talk to people who has seen this movie because i never seen it before, but all you guy talk about is how sexy he is and don't get me wrong he is hot but for fuck sakes is that all you guys care about. I want to know how good the movie is and i dont want to here a bunch of teenage hollywood gossip bullshit. you guys went totally off topic.

  • hey! Blanchett made a really good job you dipshit

  • Its called acting you idiot. You can be anyone if your a good actor.

  • explain, plis

  • What the hell are you talking about? I happen to be an actress and Heath happens to be one of my idols. I never said anything of that nature, and I never would, becuase I actually know what Im talking about not like you.

By the way, the cast in this film is great one of my favs. Blanchett was excelent.

  • If I were your mother I would wash your mouth out wth lemon juice and tell you to be nice to everybody 'cause everybody is fighting some battle within Mr flobpera. By the way I'm sure your mother gave your father wonderful blows-jobs but what did that get her? You! Oh my godness now I sound like you, I gotta find some lemon juice for myself. I agree w/Jakkymurders I liked Heath in the role. I'm so daft that I didn't even realize that she was a woman until somebody told me & that kid was great.

  • hay hazor glad someone is talking sense here.

  • It's so sad because he was underated as an actor when he was alive. I wish he would have been given more kudos for the the roles he played.

  • why did he have to die...he was an amazing actor and could have been in so many more good movies

  • The whole thing with the clothes pins so reminds me of Dylan with his lightbulb...

  • yes

  • in his eyes in the end, he just looks completely exhausted. it's almost scary

  • this is so sad. in his eyes you can see the sadness i think

when you think about how he ended ..

  • He has been my idol 6 years.. I miss him sooo much.. I cried in 2 months when I heard that he was dead.. AND the dark knight is the best movie ever done by mankind!! I watched it 16 times in the cinema..

  • how can you refer to The Dark Knight a s aweful????????it's one of the best movies ever

  • Ahhh man, he was becoming an incredible actor. Who knew what he could have achieved if his life wasn't cut short. Haha he is really stoned in this video though. Pretty obvious. but eh, who cares.

  • That is such an awesome idea! that totally might have happened.. OMG! lets all move to Austrailia and live with his parents!!!!!!!! =) Yay!

  • God. I miss him. I know, never met him, but knowing he is gone, just gr.. =)lol.. clothspins,, so random =) he is so adorable!

  • he didnt kill him self... get your facts straight. he was stressed, tired, and lonely hence the pain killers anxity pills, and sleeping pills. he was fkn stressed. and Nick Drake wwas his Idol but had nothing to do with i. if you look at it pyschologically he was just way stressed and well i guess he wasnt thinking straight and took the medicinces at nce (it wasnt an over dose it was a mixture of toxins in the body)

  • Cause The Joker was still tormenting him... Poor soul. RIP Heath.

  • its THE DARK NIGHT

  • "Aw, I just carry em everywhere. Do you want one?"

    "Sure, why not?"

    Love that.

  • i want to believe!

  • He's SO gorgeous :) you can tell he was quite nervous in this interview, RIP :( xx.

  • poor heath.. i really want to see this movie

  • I hope she saved that pin... I would've...

  • SAME HERE XD

  • did michelle leave heath??

  • Mannnn this guy will be legendary. So horrible it had to end so questionable. Heath will always be remembered or at least i hope he will be. R.I.P man wish you were still with us.

  • he acts so different in this. if you watch the one where he was on Ellen show for brokeback mountain, he was so full of life and in this one he seems so drained and out of it. yeah, he had insomnia, but in the ellen one he was having trouble sleeping too and he didn't act like this. it's kind of worrying me. it seems like he committed suicide, but i dont think so. im just really confused. there's also another interview where he talks about death and it's like he knew it was going to happen...

  • so heath ledger was the original actor cast for bob dylan in that movie????

  • What a shame you didn't know who Bob Dylan is. If it weren't for Dylan and the Beatles, you wouldn't be listening to rock music today. Learn your history. Don't be ignorant.

  • SHUT UP! I dont listen to rock music anyways.

  • You don't need to listen to rock to know the influence of Dylan and the Beatles. Their influence reaches into other genres of music as well. Judging someone on their looks instead of their talent is pretty ignorant. "Ooh, this guy is cute, he must be good." Music from the 60s and 70s (for the most part) was not about great looks. It was about great lyrics and great music. Don't be a stupid idiot.

  • SO what?? Everyone cares about good looks. It's human nature. And I'm not ignorant. I appreciate good talent just like good looks. You shouldn't pre-judge someone just because they arn't exactly like you. That's being ignorant also.

  • Ok, Dylan is a legend and you've never heard of him. That's the truest definition of ignorance possible. Dylan didn't have pretty boy looks and he's equal as far as influence goes with Elvis, who did have pretty boy looks but was also talented. All this being said, it doesn't matter that Heath Ledger was "cuter" than Dylan. You sound like the typical know-nothing 12 year old teeny-bopper.

  • Haha, I'm not 12 nor am I a teenybopper. I'm actually 17. And I bet you dont know every famous person there was and is in the entire world. Seriously, get a life.

  • lol you douche, bob dylan was so much more famous than elvis.a nd more talented. and, no, nobody does care about looks in terms of art. true art. not only does he still sell more records now than, say, backstreet boys, or whatever you listen to, but he is a poet. a poet of the human spirit. I am also 17, im not some grandpa who loves his old folk music. but seriously. that is true ignorance.

  • That's pretty ignorant alright. You probably like Ledger and think he was very talented but completely ignore the fact that he was honoured to play the part of Dylan. Shows what he knew and what you didn't. Little brat. Go educate yourself.

  • is mean mr. mustard ur fav. beatles song?

  • No, I like them all. I can't pick a fav. Every song is good. If I had to pick a top 5 in no particular order it would be Norwegian Wood, Rocky Raccoon, Dizzy Miss Lizzy (just a cover but John is just so rockin' on this), I Am The Walrus and Revolution. Again, I love all the songs nearly equally. If I had to pick my least favs it would be Northern Song, Long, Long, Long, Matchbox (horrible double tracking on Ringo's voice), Hold Me Tight (too repetitive).

  • when did this movie come out??

  • It's hard to imagine that Heath Ledger isn't alive anymore =[

He did such a good job in the movie.
