$4.50 per gallon made people choose between going to work or paying their mortgage. Where is the competition? there is none it's all fixed Exxon Mobil recorded the highest profits ever recorded by any US company in 2008. Chevy, Chrysler etc. the best mpg was 35-40 mpg. Why didn't they bring back the Chevy Metro? 50mpg is wonderful! and it would have saved their company
