You know what? Andrew kramer's Preset on Light saber is better than this classic method. Its only 2 points and it automatically creates the motion blur for the fast movement.

what you do is import i your video (I think it might have to be either wmv, mov, avi i forget) Then it imports the frames as pictures so then it takes longer thus i dont use photoshop for video

You can use a normal wooden stick if the conditions allow it - you have to see the stick on the movie to process it on the computer.
