  • i want music for this sooo bad

  • shot at 0:15 ripped a hole into space and time

  • its an 8th note fivelet over two quarter note triplets... <---that three times

  • Cleanest Fuck'n shot ever played. 0:15

  • this is like my favorite youtube video...

  • @LAKings0101 This IS my favorite youtube video. I got the music for this from the '09 Greenbeats. I place this like solo every day!

  • what are the orange things on the side? the things that they use for tha clacking

  • @cskate445 I actually think they're called clackers hahaha I'm pretty sure XL makes them.

  • THATS WHATS UP!

  • @JessOnTheRun

    Idiot.

  • @JessOnTheRun You're so cool and so good! Thanks for informing us how bad the Cavaliers are! Whatever, ass.

  • which one is banished?

  • all

  • he's not on this line...

  • @gothtrot yeah, he didn't start marching cavies until '09. before that he marched BK

  • i just came back to this video just to comment on that shot again... god damn.. sounds like a baseball bat crackin a ball!!

  • that was a pretty intense shot

  • 'Cause it's a ping...and sexy as fuck!

  • does anyone thats commented(argued) on this video about the solo being in triplets or sixteenths. Do you have a life for real? Your going sit around on a computer all day an agrue over freakin triplet and sixteenth notes. Who gives a shit what they are, put away yor silly drum corps. ego and enjoy the amazing drumming of not only the cavies but every other corps. as welll :] and stop arguing like two year olds so guys sound so, no lifeish...

  • Haha and you don't sound "no lifeish?"

  • @idowork7000 lol i agree... and it starts off i 16ths and where they put the crush are triplets then it does 4 4 16th notes and goes into ths 15:16 time notes lol

  • @idowork7000 apparently you don't understand the mentality of hardcore youtube commentors...people are ballsy when no one sees them. that's what they do. they have no life. and honestly, pointing it out just makes them feel glorified...cause now your comment has 14 likes so other people viewing this want to see who you're addressing. nothing against you....i totally agree with you. it's just sometimes better not to even look at the comments and just focus on the video :P

  • did you guys hear the fucken shot on at 15: 16?? hollllllllllly crap

  • oh my balls

  • holy shit!!!

  • sick

  • ha i love this snare line. i did blue knights but cavaliers and phantom reg. kick the shit out of us.

  • Your '07 line was smokin' though. Especially the snares and basses.

  • i love the transition from double stroke to single stroke rolls

  • squeaky clean

  • omg! dey sound like one snare drum lol

  • fuck yeah!

  • Aha, the echoes sound like gunshots! Woot woot!

  • also, what are they doing at :14-:15

  • i think they are just triplets with the accents moved around but im not sure.

  • Sounds something like it

  • actually, they're 16th notes with the buzz on the uh of the beat

    so its 1 e + buzz.

    get it?

  • nope theyre triplets i have the music

    1 + a(buzz)

  • its sixteenths

  • nope deff triplets

  • nooo theyre 16s......

  • dude i have the music and ive played it a lot

    theyre triplets

order the green beats for this year its in there

  • dude, you probably got a transcribed version, THEY WRITE DIFFERENT then the actual music cuz its TRANSCRIBED, its 16s

  • listen to the video smart asses, there obviously slower than the actual sixteenths that they play in the beginning of the phrase, prolly a phantom supporter

  • no its the official Cavaliers book written by Jim casella no boomheadshit32, i dont know who that guy is but he's a hard ass that thinks he knows everything, probably related to Dmully..

  • fuc you faggot its 16's

  • nope, not really.

  • nope, not really who? what are you talking about?

  • hey fuck you faggot.

  • Whoah guys... no bitch fighting here!

  • I have the official music and it is three beats of triplets then four sixteenth notes and then a measure that is 15:16 notes.

  • ya sry

  • Comment removed

  • Hahaha. If you're gonna act like you know it all, make sure you're right. Hahaha. They're triplets. I have the book. Not a transcription. Haha.

  • What book is it in? And what's in it? I want it!

  • so do i i dont know why its so hard to beleive if you order the green beats its in there and has the actuall music

    triplets sorry dudes

  • Haha I know...I was agreeing with you...

  • Exactly Man I tried out and made it but ran out of money though out the program. I have the book, Green Beats 2008 and the solo is in triplets. Many people transcribe it in 16s but it is triplets. Why would there show be in triplets to have a percusion break all in 16s, I mean come on Jim Casella i'm emailing you to explain to these guys what the truth is. And Guys it's Youtube, pick something else so fight over.

  • no shut ur mouth obama supporter.

  • it sounds like they're simple triplet notes with accents and a buzz on the left hand.

Like...(asume triplets) Accent, hit, hit......Buzz, Accent, hit......hit, Buzz, Accent..... and so on

  • they are actually triplets, I've seen the music in the audition packet

  • yea serioulsly they are

  • i also sounds like that cuz the next measeure is a 15:16 .... fifeteen 16th notes in 1 measure

  • Oh... well it was a good guess from listening to it on a cell phone... Lol your right I found the sheet music, freakin cool show though

  • Comment removed

  • its sixteenth notes with the last note buzzed

    1 e and uh

    the "uh" is buzzzed.

  • anyone have a detailed breakdown of this part?

  • that is very clean

  • dude...those are some sexy singles....

  • Hell yeah they are....man...

  • It's insane how clean they are too.

  • Dude you're not kidding. I just learned this over the past week, and it's pretty hard to transition from the doubles to singles and get it consistent. They are awesome!

  • coulda been cleaner.

  • I kind of agree, the break isn't very hard. I looked it up. All it is is diddles and triplets and single stroke rolls.

  • And a 15:16th-let...yeah, so easy. Oh and the triplet rolls at 192...that are clean. (the drums are tuned in a way that sounds great on field, but not on this camera.) Then the singles at a 12" full extension height...

I don't mean to sound like a douche, but don't say something is really easy if you can't play it.

  • This was supposed to be a response to Rpkist77...my bad on the awkward posting

  • I also forgot about the sextuplet singles at 192...

  • JCB, i have the music from a website. I don't see anything close to a 15:16let... and the triplet rolls are played double stroke... and the sectuplets are in there twice as singles, and its really easy, even at 192. But i will agree on the full height 16th notes, at 192... And btw, i can play it at 192. Look up the music on snare science.Maybe the 15:16let is somewhere else on this video, im talking about just the snare feature in the middle.

  • scratch my last sentence, this is all the music.

  • the snare science part is wrong (NO WAY!!!) if you send me your email address i will send you the real part...believe me...I know the part really well...

  • Oh ok. can you host it on photobucket and send me the URL over youtube messages?

  • Your music is wrong. Buy the real book.

  • Nah, I'm not gonna go through all the trouble. I believe JBC, but I don't really care to buy the book just to see the real part. And plus, I don't plan to try out for any drum corps any time soon. My trad = sucky. I'm a matched player.

  • all the music on there are TRANSCRIPTIONS.well i might be alittle wrong.there might be a few that arent, but most are.i agree with madcowdrummer.buy the book

  • agreed. the audition packet says it all.

  • Sexy and Clean!!

  • kinda dirty.

  • umm no

  • ill agree, the last part with the eigth rolls and the high sixteenths is a little dirty

  • R lr L R lrL RLRL R lr L R lrL RLRL

RlrL R RL LR RL L

    RL rlrlrl RL rlrlrl

Rlr l*RLrl*R LrrL (First three counts are triplets, fourth is sixteenth notes)

    RllrLRllrLRllrL

there's more but i don't feel like doing it

    l*= left buzz

  • fucking clean

  • i didnt really like their tuning too much this year. too flat

  • FUCKING CLEAN

  • SHEET MUSIC PLZZZ!!!!!

  • Does anyone know the rhythm and/or stickings for that? I have been trying to get it ever since early season.

  • something like

    RlrlllRrlRlrlrlrlrrrllRlRRlLL

    something like that...jk :-)

  • sweeet

  • First time I ever enjoyed watching Cavaliers snare line throughly

  • Those snares are tuned so damn high but they sound great on the feild.

  • It had to be to get 2nd in percussion.

  • Wow, I haven't heard em this clean since 2000. Go CAVIES

  • They should split those singles in the end. Hahah

  • sexy beats... shit was clean son.

  • man they are incredible.... i saw them and every other top corps last night and this a great year for DCI.

  • LOVE THE HEADBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think this is one of their best snareline

    since 1948

  • yea theyre really good...but i cant help but think it's null and void due to only having 7. i know its stupid, but hey

  • 1948 was a good year, do you really think they were on that level. The line form 1948 had an incredible drum break.

  • Really? They're definitely a good line this year, but there's a lot going against them, especially if you're comparing them to year like '48. Chuchugada has a point, this has to be their smallest line in over 10 years, at least. Their book is also pretty tame compared with some of their previous stuff, just look at the 90's.

  • nah. They were cleaner and more consistent in 1999 and 2000, in my opinion.
