It would be much more fitting to put in "No Jesus Christ". The line "Your verbal defecation I can't wash away" seems to me to be a blatant response to "Call Me When You're Sober". Amy's the lesser of the two. She took all of it public and dragged him through the mud infront of the world. She wasn't mature enough to leave it between the two of them. If you kno anything about Evanescence you'd know they toured for a year & a half nonstop for their last record, and deserved a year off, and they've spent this year working on the album they're putting out next year! So no she has'nt been doing nothing & wether any of us like it or not it was her business to talk about One of them were gonna end up being asked about it.
I do know that Terry Balsamo, a major part of "Open Door", got tired of not doing anything and decided to join up with former bandmates Cold to do a new album due out early next year. Terry arranged the guitar work and wrote on over fifty percent of "Open Door". Thing is that album didn't produce many singles though. So it wasn't really a good album. Seether's latest has produced a good number of singles. Amy uses the piano way too much. Even Elton John doesn't use the piano that much.
I'm telling you this: Terry Balsamo wrote the guitars for TOD, and also played them live. And no he didn't rejoin cold. Wind up records only allows four singles per album to evanescence, how could they produce more? (and their previous album, fallen, also had four singles) And...actually I think that TOD has the perfect balance between beats, piano and Terry's guitar. Have you listened to all of TOD? once you do, please reply back.
Unfortunately yes I have listened to that entire monstrocity called The Open Door, and no it doesn't have a balance. It's way too piano driven and her vocals are way too trained. There's no passion in her voice. Cold posted on I believe their facebook and myspace pages sometime last year about the new album and that Terry had met up with them to work on some songs. It's one thing to write a break up song. It's another thing to put it out as the first single of your new album. Putting it out there on blast is totally childish. Shaun also wrote a break up song, but never intended it to be a single, and was actually put out like 4th out of all the singls on FBINS. That's the difference Seether has class Amy's got none.

Considering that my brother used to have alcohol problems, I just can't yell at someone for having them even if they need to wise up and get help.

It would be much more fitting to put in "No Jesus Christ". The line "Your verbal defecation I can't wash away" seems to me to be a blatant response to "Call Me When You're Sober". Amy's the lesser of the two. She took all of it public and dragged him through the mud infront of the world. She wasn't mature enough to leave it between the two of them. Now she's doing nothing and living like a weirdo and Shaun's selling out tours and going platinum again and staying sober. So I guess Shaun won.

I do know that Terry Balsamo, a major part of "Open Door", got tired of not doing anything and decided to join up with former bandmates Cold to do a new album due out early next year. Terry arranged the guitar work and wrote on over fifty percent of "Open Door". Thing is that album didn't produce many singles though. So it wasn't really a good album. Seether's latest has produced a good number of singles. Amy uses the piano way too much. Even Elton John doesn't use the piano that much.

I'm telling you this: Terry Balsamo wrote the guitars for TOD, and also played them live. And no he didn't rejoin cold. Wind up records only allows four singles per album to evanescence, how could they produce more? (and their previous album, fallen, also had four singles) And...actually I think that TOD has the perfect balance between beats, piano and Terry's guitar. Have you listened to all of TOD? once you do, please reply back.

Unfortunately yes I have listened to that entire monstrocity called The Open Door, and no it doesn't have a balance. It's way too piano driven and her vocals are way too trained. There's no passion in her voice. Cold posted on I believe their facebook and myspace pages sometime last year about the new album and that Terry had met up with them to work on some songs. I'm sure Wind Up would put out more singles if they felt the success was there. Why did they release so many Seether singles n Creed

shaun was not the first person she was mean to, john lecompt even made a joke that maybe he and rocky would get a song like "call me when youre broke" after they were fired for no good reason. amy had a lot of line up changes in HER band, and couldnt point out the exact reason in most of the cases... amy is loosing trust in my eyes. you can write about how hurt you are by people all you want... but the way you treat those around you who you should care about speaks volumes more than that...

I'm a borderliner, I hurt people around me. I know that, and I truly feel sorry for that. But still, even though I have an illness, I can be hold responsable for my actions. So can Shaun be held responsable for his actions towards Amy and other people he'd hurt.

I was a huge Evanescence fan for a long time, and I loved Seether since their first single in the US.
Thankfully, I have mostly grown out of my Evanescence love. I can appreciate the music, but I think Amy is a twat.
I'll always be a lover of rock though, so I favor Seether these days. Shaun seems like a genuine person.
I wasn't so in love with Amy that I jumped on the "let's hate Shaun" band wagon when CMWYS came out. I know that people with substance abuse problems aren't always bad people.
