Good point.I come across so many people(including some Adventists) who are ipholding "religious tradtions" instead of the the Bible.WE need to all help each other to get free of all the traditions and line up with the word -ie: the reason revelation calls her "the mother of harlots" is because the reformation wasn't a complete break from The Papal Power -no surrpise that the daughters are going back to mother!

The 7th Day Adventists are not upholding "religious traditions', but the Ten Commandments, of which the 4th is keep the Sabbath/ Saturday holy! These Ten Commandments never changed & all christians are to obey them. Or do really believe the Ten Commandments are obsolete? =then we are all free to murder, idolatry, stealing, adultery, lying and the rest. I am carefully considering your(plural) argument for Shabat, and you have many valid arguments, so I will not argue against that; but it is not the seal of YHWH. The seal is the Holy Spirit. All who belong to Yahushua Ha Mashiach have the Holy Spirit. This doesn't mean you can do miracles or anything, but does mean YHWH dwells within you, and therefore reinforces the fact that we(that is His people) is now the temple, since the temple is where YaHuWaH dwells. The Spirit marks you/sets you apart.

My friend you should check the context of a verse before you use it, that verse is talking about the annual feast days, it is Paul talking to the Collossians telling them to let noone tell you that you need to keep all these holy days, they were part of the sacrificial system and were nailed to the cross as was the curtain rent!!

Read 2 Kings 4:23, 1 Chr 23:31, Neh 10:33, Ezek 45:17.

The religious mark is not just Sunday,it is that,plus every "belief" that does not line up with scripture.

My friend, I respectfully disagree with you. The Vatican alone is the first beast in Revelation. The NWO, New Age Movement, Masons, etc. etc. are real, but they are under the Papal power. Watch Pro. I agree with you as to all the first part and perhaps I didn't make it clear: The Vatican(classical latin: "Seat of Venus(Satan)") controls them all."The mark of Rome is Sunday" as their own catecism says...BUT Adventists by sticking to Ellen's White's "interpretation" of scripture are blinding themselves to the whole picture.The 1st beast is a composite beast.Anyway...we agree in part.,so we'll see.God bless

Constantine "instituted rest on the venerable day of the sun" in 313 AD,it was ratified by the council of Laodicea,then pushed by the Papal power around Europe(and elsewhere) under pain of death!Their previous catecism stated they changed it(fullfilling Daniel 7,now the RC catecism just says "keep the sabbath day." yet nowhere in the New testament was a "change of day of worship" ever recorded!

*In 1998,the Pope sent letters to all the Seventh-Day Adventist churches asking them to keep Sunday holy and request Sunday legislation!

Pope Gregory gave us the Gregorian calendar,which not only pushed Sunday worship,but also changed the days to mindight to midnight,yet the Scriptures clearly state "from even unto even shall your days be..."

1)On whose authority are you keeping Sunday(or Friday holy)?

2)Who is pushing for "another day?"

Where is the scriptural authority to keep Sunday in honour of Christ's resurrection?

It didn't come from Christ,or the apostles -they kept the 7th day!

The scripture you quoted out of context is referring to the ceremonial torah(instruction.law) which the 7th day sabbath is not part of

Therefore,the question still stands:

"On whose authority are you keeping Sunday holy?

It isn't scipture...it's Constantine and the pope!

Like others have said.. Colossians 2:16-17 is not talking about Sabbath.. but of the ceremonial laws. Where in the Bible does the 7th day Sabbath deal with new moons, meats, drinks, holydays? You can't! "which are a shadow of things to come" The old sacrificial system pointed to Christ. (that is a beautiful study!) Christ was the Spotless Lamb! The law of Moses (ceremonial laws) were nailed to the Cross.. because Christ fulfilled them! *smiles* ;)

true, the ceremonial laws were nailed to the cross, but the TEN COMMANDMENTS are forever, Jesus and disciples all kept them, and in heaven we will still keep them. The Ten Commandments are not obsolete, and nowhere in teh BIble can you find that God either made them void or changed his Sabbath, in fact it states the exact opposite! ;-)
