Aw, that was great! It really felt like I was with you! I felt for the poor babby, air pockets I am sure of. It was increadible how you flew over the south Perimeter, then St. Vital, saw the city center, flew over where I live, and down onto the runway that fast! I forgot how fast an airplane can be! HAHA!! I wish, now, to fly again. Thank-you soo much for the experience!!

i used to study my pilot licence in winnipeg for 8 months....portage, regent, henderson highway....mc philips, the casino........ it was a great time , but it was cold..... thx for this video

You took me over my old haunt. I lived and grew up in South Winnipeg. My Grandparents lived on Fermor off St Mary's and the Cousins on Churchill off Osbourne. Thanks for the flight back in time.!!!

I already knew that one of our National Treasures, Terry Fox, was born there. Another one, Thommy Douglas, was also born there (I thought he had been born in Saskachewan).

The very gracious Doug Henning and David Steinberg were also from there.

I was just up there for christmas visiting a friend. I came from Ohio and it feels tropical in Ohio compared to Winnipeg. buuuurrrr I plan on going back up in the summer.

Cool vid...I've seen this quite a bit in my past anyway...did you mis name the Assinaboine[sp?] River as the Red River...I don't remember that much twisiting in the Red from the air.. ...

The Red River is very winding through the city and basically runs north to south... the Assiniboine river is smaller and heads west.

If it was Westjet, I can tell you it was a 737-400. I was thinking ti was a bus as well, but Westjet only flies 737's.

According to Wikipedia, Westjet only flies 737-600's, -700's and -800's, not -400's.

Oddly enough, that's an Airbus winglet, and the engines sound distinctly Airbus to me....
