My great-grandmother told me about how her father, brother and sister were killed by the turks after they had to run away from Smyrna during the War. She had to hide underneath her mothers body to make it seem she was pregnant, as she was dressed in an Islamic Veil so people couldnt tell she as Greek. She never held any hatred towards the turks however as she believed that would only cause more hate in the world.

great britain used greek army to invade Anatolia and they revenged years of islamic supression with rage. and Muslims retaliated harshly at the end of war. most people in turkey share those sorrows, but can't eat the words like Greek genocide or Armenian genocide due to their pride and humanity, as most Greeks and Armenians can't understand a concept of Turkish genocide.
