hey i used to love all three groups...i wish i can find the video of deux that they did on the army base and they had some high school kids in the video...they even did a live television show those guys too
omg if you would upload that cd online i would love you for a long time!... I remember hearing duex the first time in like 2001... i tryed to look for their songs but sadly they were so old i couldnt find it :(
@petiteasiahoney Hate to dissapoint you but They used alot of English in their songs back then. Look at the Hayoga music video (which I was in) and their English version of Nan Arayo (which I was in) and Hyun Jin Young who used English rappers for his songs and even Lee, Sun Chul who wasn't even into hip hop used English verses. Sorry Sweets.
@petiteasiahoney No I'm American but was there from 1990 to 1995 and I worked with Hyun Jin Young, Seo-Teji, Deux, Chuli and Miae. Wahtch the Nonun We video with Chuli and Miae and the Hayoga Video... you will see me. Black guy... They called me Rikko back then.
I do agree that Seo Taiji was the first but I was never a fan of his nor Kim Gun Mo. I thought Deuce was the first to have a style that was similar to the rappers and hip guys in the west. Seo Taiji was more rock rap, Kim gun mo just wrapped here and there but Deuce really brought it 4 real.
@skyclaw441 It Hyun Jin Young who started Hip Hop, then came Seo Teiji and the Deux who started out as Hyun Jin Youngs back dancers. I was there when it started.

This is what I miss about the 90's Korean hip hop: NO ENGLISH mixed in with Korean!!!
What's up with Korean group these days mixing English phrase in a Korean song? That's terrible!

Whoo this song was the starter for hip hop in korea in my opinion

Actually I think it was Seo Taiji, but the fist hip hop song from Korea that came out that I liked was Kim Gun Mo's "잠 못드는 밤 비는 내리고".
