@bigchowie It's actually dead easy to switch sounds around, but you could not do it without a roland-us20 which is effectively an A-B/AB switch for 13 pin midi cable. The rest of the sounds get switched with their respective footswitches (Gr-33 and FC-300 for the vg-99) Thanx for your comment mate!
@AetroyayorteA: I love this guitar and I use the midi a great deal for fast runs, I have no complaints about the tracking.
hope this helps... keep in mind I hear Parker may be going to a saddle set up as they have now possibly done a deal with ghost saddles...won't force me to go and update though.
@AetroyayorteA: The guitar I demoed is the Mohagany version (Mojo)
I have no problems with tracking as far as studio work is concerned, there are some limitations from any midi guitar which are defined by the following in my opinion, guitar set up including midi pick up of saddles (can take some time to get right) I haven't found saddles to be better or worse than a GK and I have both in for form of a godin sa. But most of the limitation is in the playing style and clean picking action...
probably going to break down and save up for the mahogany version of this guitar... how well does the MIDI pickup track when playing faster patches like piano, flute etc?
Been thinking for some time in getting the GR-55GK with the GK3 pickup for my Parker Fly Mojo and this has swayed me even more into getting one in the coming months.
Great demo! How on earth you be able to switching all those different sounds?
