The mines need to be better...they should be ship destroyers...it takes too many mines to destroy one cruiser. plus if the makes of the game could include much better planet managing, that would be awesome, i mean as in politically, socially and culturally. You know, protests riots call for war after a colony is destroyed. And the 300 ish population on terran planets is crap. make it so you can view it in billions/millions. That would be awesome.

Anti space ship mine. They slowly move towards the enemy when he gets close enough, then blow up and do some good damage

What about the Advent and Vasari?

I find the TEC Gauss Turrent/Advent Beam Defense Platform/ Vasari Missile Platform to bean OK-type of defense, while the Hangar Defenses are more useful more useful, specially when dealing with planet bombarment ships. Usually I overlook these turrents, and only make one or two to cover up the left over tactical slots, but will this expansion pack improve it altogether? I'm asking because of that Cannon upgrade in the video. I love the concept of the mines though.

that the point mostly. the developers realized that later in the game when everyone was upgraded, the turrets and hangers were next to useless. now you have to destroy the orbiting space stations in order to colonize the planet. you can read this stuff at the sins of a solar empire website.

I saw entrenchment sold for about US$40.00 in a DVD box in a games retail shop which sells genuine PC games.

Could that be a pirated copy?

As far as I know Ironclad never released a retail version of entrenchment. And the print of the DVD case looks suspicous too.

It's not being sold on disc until all 3 expansions are released. So I doubt that the store you saw it in is selling original copy of Entrenchment

Well I think everyone is hoping for a little more backstory to the game even though it is primarily the players make the back story.

this is an game for your own strorys and your own history not for a campain that is not eaven worth playing it because if you played homeworld one and two you now nearly everithing from ever space RTS (sry but in the hole time i never found an space RTS with a GOOD stroy in it eaven the mighty nexus hase lost eaven EAW hase lost (maybe they make a EAW 2 but it shouldnt had the story that we already know)
