I was watchin TSN after this and they had interviews with Eberles teamates and they hated his guts over that goal. Number 10 (the other Oiler in this 2 on 1 play) was bitchin about him not passing the puck and Hall was bitchin about him stealing his debut. That's a bit harsh after he scored a highlight reel goal like this.

And Calgary was quite boastful of there un beaten pre-season. But doesn't matter if Eberles sucks for the rest of the year. I challenge anyone to find a better Rookie First game goal. @marlinzman I don't get was Darryl Sutter was doing this summer he brings back Jokinen because that worked so well the first time and then brings back Tanguay who had a pretty bad season last year. Oilers were doing similar moves not bringing back bums we traded but attempted quick fixes like the Cole trade, and the Souray signing to try and make us better but the only way to build a team is drafting two most recent cup winners prove that.
