The doctors told us my mother has stomach cancer and it has spread to the liver but there is a 5% chance he is wrong. I hope that he is wrong. Any info from anyone that knows about this stuff would be great. And thank you for the video.
My father died of this cancer two years ago on 24th May 2008. He was only 55. The chemos did nothing to stop the disease from spreading through his entire body. And about six months after diagnosing it, he was dead.
@VivaPks There is no effective screening for this cancer, which is why the full stomach needs to be removed. Once it is found, it is generally too late to treat. My cancer was located within the walls of the stomach, and was just a fluke really that it was found at all. Cheers.
My mum got this, but now she stills at the hospital, I can't believe we can live with a removed stomach :l We're living in France. And I'm scared about got it later :l .
Unfortunately, my mother's stomach wasn't removed completely and the cancer developed in the piece that was left and spread. The doctors gave her 3 months and she lived 3 years! A blessing and a curse.
@shin9074 - ABSOLUTELY! I have stomach cancer at 34. On my mum's side, her two grandfathers, her father, and her brother all died of this cancer, in their 40's. Now, her youngest son (me) has it too!. I just had the gastrectomy done. Its tough, but will hopefully be the first in my family to survive. Perhaps my brother, cousins and future generations might be safer now, knowing about this gene. Nice day

... I am pretty sure they can remove a part of the stomach per say the part that is infected and heal it or remove it.

I can't say whether the decision to remove the stomach to prevent cancer is correct or not! What do you think?

I agree 100% that it's not nessacrily rare but under identified as she said because it takes so long to diagnose unfortunately.
