The coffee table book 'Class Act' on William Haines is wonderful, & a fitting tribute to a great interior decorator and designer. He was sacked from movies for being gay, so all his actress friends had him decorate their homes, and thus, started his new career. Joan is on the cover with him, they were best friends. Hey, visit my completely Joan Crawford channel. Robbie.
HarborGuy? I think her voice has a rather endearing quality to it. Certainly her speaking voice, articulation, and easy conversion to talkies will attest to that.
@Shubael1809 I agree, everything was so different back then. Joan Crawford's singing voice may sound weird now, but it probably sounded special then, in a pleasingly different sort of way.
i love this song... joan crawford was gorgeous!!!

Joan Crawford was one of William Haine's clients for his interior designs and remained very best friends with him for a long time.

Billy Haines was out and proud long before most of us.
He was a pioneer in Gay Rights since he refused to live a lie. Many thanks William Haines.

I saw this movie on TCM a while back and it was fantastic. Joan was so pretty. Wow, I didn't know that she could sing. She was pretty good.

I HATE the way most singers sing today.

William Haines prefer MEN and was fired by MGM for refusing to leave his boyfirend Jimmy Shields hence taking up interior decoting,

and he had a long life and refused to buckle to studio pressure. His designing was quite timeless.
