Very good. Outstanding. Use what ever works better for you. Nice sound and control. Keep it up .Enjoy trumpet playing like I have done for over 40 years ....
I bought a Denis Wick 5X a few hours ago. This mpc is incredible. It has git such a thick tone and is so comfortable in both low and the high register.
Hey Children! Make trumpet love not trumpet war - I like to love my trumpet for at least half an hour every morning. However it is he's getting the notes, i bet you cats would love to have the mojo to do the same. Someone told me about some valve oil available that pitches the trumpet an octave higher? Anyone know where to get it? I love a bit of lube.
This guy is a fantastic player. I'm just so glad youtube wasn't around when I was 17 or perhaps I too would have posted nonsense comments like these so called "trumpet pros". Ilikepie, where's your video response??
I did listen to "Badinerie" and using my daughters account left the following comment: "I really enjoyed this, it was clearly within mid range of both the instrument and performer. It was technically well executed and melodic. Thanks." This does not detract from the fact that this video is not a pleasant sound. I respond to what I hear and not to the reputation.
could you please post a video comparing the tone with and without the booster?

I got a 4X denis wick recently. What an incredible mouthpiece. Sounds good in the lower registers, and soooo comfortable to play above the staff.
It's a nice Jazz solo piece, and can even be used for lead playing.

The tone is pretty good except for that last note , epic.

Guy's your crazy, Paul Mayes is an incredible player and the last person someone with a name like "I like pie" should be criticizing!!!
He has been playing for enough years to know the correct technique for playing in the high register!
I suggest you take a look at his video of 'Badinerie' and think again about your comment!!

Might be high , but is it pleasant to listen to?
Maybe you should work on tonal quality rather than showing off!
tk46498 4 years ago
That's not showing off. Have you seen my other videos? Thanks for the advice. There's always room for improvement!

a denis wick booster won't make you hit them notes, i bet this guy can hit them notes without it. therefore it makes no difference

Would like to have heard the f# G#....I dont get a lot of flexibility with those intervals on my Benge. G3 to C4 is fine...
