I'm the Czech one, I support a longtime the Democratic party, in my view the Iraq war was the best action within G. W. Bush era that led to the overthrowing of dictator. Hillary would be a better president than Barack Hussein. Thx : )
Nice retooling of one of Sophie Hawkins' best songs. Too bad the first serious contender for a female President of the U.S. had to be Hillary Clinton, though. A neoconservative Democrat that supported many of Bush's policies wasn't what we needed to restore a belief in America in ourselves or the rest of the world. I look forward to the day a strong, liberal, feminist woman is elected President. I would've voted for Clinton if she had fit that description.
I just threw up a little in my mouth. Hillary, who voted for and continues to support both the Patriot Act and the war in Iraq, who supported dictators around the world, who is a member of the Bilderberg Group and basically a neoconservative who supports abortion. I'd still take Obama over her. I'd almost take McCain over her too.
I didn't know this promo-song. I prefer the original one!
Yes it's needed, that more women are political representatives... but only being a woman is not a program! It's not that easy... Just change the gender of the policymakers... :-))
Being a woman doesn't mean that she has a better political program.
I don't care whether female or male politicians are responsible for the wars in other countries... I want that this wars end immediately!
More now than ever, I wish Hillary was president. INstead we ended up with the HOT MESS Obama aka. Bush 3.0... bet you all wish you would have voted for HillCat too.
sophie we need more music from you hon!!! are you gonna be in nyc september? come hang out with us at our show!! vip treatment and top notch security!! lots of fun too and of course you are always welcome to sit in on the piano!!!!!!
Wow, amazing how well she pulls off so many different songs, she is varied in her great talents.
No wonder she still has so many fans after all these years, even her fans are a diverse range, black and white, male and female, gay and normal. She'll be entertaining us for many years yet.
Take a camcorder and go to your US senators local office and ask if he/she has read the cap and trade bill. Demand that they read it before they vote. Make them work.
Sophie. Think! Ms Clinton is nuts. This is the lady that said she was attacked by terrorists at an airport and had to duck bullets. It was all a lie. You want this loony to have her finger on the button!! No politician has the answers. You all look in the wrong place if you think they do. Get a Bible and read it. Don't let others make your mind up for you, read it yourself. If you don't understand it ask God to teach you. Stop looking to man, they cannot and will not help this world.
That's definitely a possibility, and a shade of meaning that I like. But I figured it was primarily signifying that we aren't just conservatives (red) and liberals (blue), but a mix of moderates. :)
What's being a woman (or a man) got to do with running a country the right way? Are American women really stupid enough to vote for someone just because of the genitalia they have? Or am I missing something obvious??
It wasn't so much that gender has anything to do with it, but to make it clear that a woman CAN be president; if you don't live in America, you wouldn't be aware of the incredible amount of sexism that still exists. Hillary lost, at least partly, because there are still A LOT of people who cannot bring themselves to vote for a woman. It was more of an empowering statement, rather than any sort of sexist one.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yeah, they would be stupid enough to vote for her just because she is a women. Look how the nigs votes for barack. Even 114 year old blacks came out to vote for him for the first time.
The white girls also voted for barack because of his genitalia so the answer is yes.
As a McCain/Palin supporter and a conservative Republican, I enjoyed this. It put a smile on my face, even made me laugh a little bit.
I am pleased that you are using your talents in a positive way. You never struck me as an irrational partisan. You clearly have the right idea. Why don't more Democrats, especially those susceptible to the irrational partisan acrimony of the MoveOn and Media Matters gangs, follow your shining example? Jack and Bobby are smiling at you from heaven.
I really think that the people are ready for a great change in our government. Regardless of who is running and who wins, I hope that future generations can look back and see that many different cultures, many different types of people wanted that change and our country is ready to move forward. That we are still a great nation, able to work together to move forward. Thank you for your video and song! I really loved it! I would've voted for Hillary too...
I appreciate that. Between Sophie, Gioia Bruno (the Exposé vocalist who recorded Change the world based upon inspiration by Barack Obama's speeches), and John Rich (the country songwriter from the duo Big and Rich who wrote Raisin' McCain in support of John McCain) really truly are amongst the better parts if not the best parts of partisan political expression - something dearly lacking given the current political climate.
Agree with you re Sophie!...It is strange that no democrats have said this is not a regime of change but a third clinton term...Obama can't deliver health care, said that and is not raising taxes and is staying in Iraq... Sounds like mCcain
Probably because too many people, mostly on the right, but some on the left as well, including those who have seen Mr Obama's gameplans, are poised to make their voices heard and scream HELL NO. Mr Obama has even had to scale back his more radical visions! Mr Gates and Mr Volcker will help soften some of the impact, but in the end it is up to WE THE PEOPLE, red state, blue state, Democrat, Republican, independent, to keep ALL politicians IN LINE and IN CHECK.
Sophie what can we say.. trust in youself & try to believe that you can can the way the world can be more than all that is percieved than it can be. Cheers fromthe land of OZ
I like the way Sophie sings, but this is one area where I vehemently disagree with her on! Yes, I would love to see a woman become president sometime, but NOT Hillary! This woman will make so many allies with those who are hell bent on destroying the freedoms which we hold so dear. Obama will be just as bad! Mind you, I am by no means a fan of George Bush or John McCain. I would be happy to see the US return to its constitutional roots as soon as possible.
Do as you wish. I'd support the Constitution party if they were more viable than the Libertarians and not as fascist on civil liberties as they are. If I decide not to vote for Barr, I'll write in either Ron Paul or maybe Charles Jay (of the Personal Choice party). Frankly, I'm really not satisfied with my choices this time around.
I don't hate him. I just think he is grossly unqualified to be a nominee much less a president. Judging by the latest polls, more people are waking up to that fact.
Give it UP! Hillary lost and will NEVER win in 2012 without Obama's supporters' 18 million votes! We will NEVER vote for her because we hate her supporters more than we hate her!
Our Messiah Obama 2008 - Good for America & good for the WORLD!
We love you President Obama, and you too VP Biden of Scranton, PA & Wilmington, DE
The feeling is mutual, only HC's 18 million supporters are going to help defeat B.O. in Nov., and our candidates--first McCain, then Hillary in 2012--are going to be POTUSES while your airheaded celeb in an empty suit has his egomaniac's "par-tay", then gets sent back to the senate to cast more "present" votes.
Btw, Hillary shouldn't even bother with B.O. supporters, she doesn't need them to win in 2012. After President McCain's first term, even Republicans will support her.
Obama can't win without Hillary's supporters, and he's not going to get that support. There is no way Americans are going to put an America-basher and his grouchy-looking wife in the White House.
Training to hide her true personality which is not pretty. I can't imagine having a First Lady who is only just now proud to be an American because her husband is--through some sort of idiocy on the DNC's part--the nominee. It would be a tragedy if he were to be elected. Hopefully we will manage to keep him, Reverend Wright, and Bill Ayers out of the White House, then we can say America dodged a bullet.
The war in Iraq costs over 10 billion dollars per month. We continue to spend money we don't have while borrowing money from nations we consider our adversaries. China lends us money for the war in Iraq and to buy Arab oil. The Chinese are happy to lend us the money because they realize the obvious --as we get weaker they get stronger both economically and militarily.
I guess it's easier to trash McCain than it is to think of a single qualification B.O. has to be POTUS.
Why do you think terrorist leaders like the Prez of Iran, and Fidel Castro are rooting for B.O.? They know he'll weaken America to where it will no longer be a leader and superpower in the world. When it comes down to it, Americans will not vote to give access to our White House to the likes of Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers, and B.O.'s other America-hating friends.
Sorry to deeply disappoint... but your FRIGHT WING tactics won't work here they are as old as your candidate. The electorate is not buying the NeCON anymore. Not this time. George W Bush has shown us the historically horrible results of electing a Republican President. In November, you and your party going to be put out to pasture, along with the conservative campaign of fear and their oppressive backward thinking policies. I'm done here! You are simply delusional.
Sorry to deeply disappoint, but your MESSiah can't even crack 50% in the polls, and his attempt to tie McCain with Bush is proving to be a failure. Meanwhile, McCain's attempt to tie B.O. to America-hater Bill Ayers is working. The only reason he is even tied with McCain is because of the "Bradley effect."
Btw, where was Rev. Wright, Ayers, and big B.O. endorser John Edwards, and the rest of B.O.'s posse last night? Maybe they'll be in attendance today for the big celeb par-tay.
For the Chinese it's a marathon not a sprint. They know that if America stays on the current path they will eventually become the world's largest super power -- reducing our leverage and influence internationally.
McCain Said Iraqi Oil Reserves Would Cover The Cost of War. During an interview with National Journal, McCain said, "Everybody now is talking of post-Saddam Hussein Iraq. I look on it with optimism and hope. As far as the cost is concerned, Iraqis have vast oil reserves and they, I'm sure, would shoulder the cost of the transition." [National Journal, 2/15/03]

47 Million Americans Had No Health Insurance In 2006. According to the Census Bureau,47 million Americans, including 8.7 million children, lacked health insurance in 2006 [Census Bureau, Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2006 report, accessed 4/3/08]
Over 4 Thousand US Troops Have Died In Iraq. According to the Iraq Coalition Casualty Count, 4,113 United States troops have died in Iraq. [Iraq Coalition Casualty Count, 6/30/08]
WAR IN IRAQ: McCain Said Bringing The Troops Home Was "Not Too Important." During an appearance on NBC's "Today Show," John McCain was asked, "[D]o you now have a better estimate of when American forces can come home to Iraq?" He said, "No. But that's not too important. What's important is the casualties in Iraq. Americans are in South Korea, Americans are in Japan, American troops are in Germany. That's all fine. American casualties and the ability to withdraw." [NBC, "Today Show," 6/11/08]
As John Biden so correctly said, the Presidency is not given to someone in training. I want someone who is ready on DAY ONE. Someone who will protect America, not drive small business to the ground with taxes, who considers himself an American citizen first, not a "citizen of the world". As one HC supporter said--a black woman--would you put someone fresh out of school and make him CEO of your company?
Obama voted "present" a mulitude of times rather than take a stand on an issue, but the one issue he argued passionately against was against a bill that would allow medical care to a baby born alive after a late term abortion. Even liberals like Barbara Boxer voted for that bill. I wouldn't let a live animal die in a trash can let alone a baby, yet Obama supports it. The more people get to know Obama, the more they dislike him, as the polls are reflecting.
That's terrible . I always believed it was up to the individual , but after seeing the photos and reading what actually happens , I'm anti abortion now . Especially after a certain date . I hope it's never legalised in my country .
HC supporters, stand your ground! Country before party loyalty. Obama won't win without HC supporters--the same people he and his camp and his media spent the primaries laughing at, dismissing, and disprespecting, and on Nov. 4, they are going to regret it.
Obama's choice of Biden is more proof of his crappy judgment.
You are either a Republican fright wing John McCain voter (posing as a HRC supporter) or you were and are completely unaware of the policies Hillary Clinton was attempting to deliver. They are a mirror reflection of Senator Obama's... and nothing even close to what McCain is trying to propose. McCain is the anti-Hillary. Stop hiding behind the false pretense of supporting Hillary if you're voting for Bush 3 to continue his tragic policies. A vote against Obama is a vote for more George W Bush!
I was a lifelong Democrat until the DNC showed their true sexist, misogynist colors. Now I am an Independent voting for McCain. What you Obama idiots fail to realize is that Hillary could've got the job done--B.O. CAN'T. He is nothing but hot air and rhetoric in a suit. Hillary could've BEAT McCain--Obama CAN'T. Not ONCE did she say she thought he would be a good POTUS or leader. She said what she had to say.
Did you disgruntled HRC supporters care at all for her policies? I ask because John McCain's political agenda couldn't be more diametrically opposed to Senator Clinton's. He voted with Bush 95% of the time. Are you kidding me? A vote for McCain is a vote opposing Hillary's policies. A vote for McCain is a vote against Hillary's Democratic principles (RE: Health Care, Equal Wages, Tax Cuts for the Middle Class, Pro-Choice etc.) Do you really want to cut your nose off to spite your own face?
A vote for Obama is a vote for a weak America. Obama is soft on crime, soft on border security; his voting record as an IL legislator is abysmal. He goes overseas to ingratiate himself as a "citizen of the world" bashing the USA. Hillary HERSELF called him "naive", and he has proved it. Obama has rode into the nomination on rhetoric, the race card, bluster, and saying a whole lot of NOTHING. Democracy left the Democratic party when the DNC stole the nomination away from Hillary.
The ultimate revenge and satisfaction for HC supporters would be to see Obama and Biden go back to their senate seats in Nov., hopefully never to be heard from again, while President McCain chooses Hillary for Sec of State in his cabinet.
This would be the ultimate payback to the media and Obama camp for spending the primary disrespecting and snubbing Hillary.
hmmmm... let me think do I vote for a 1 term freshman senator and a helluva community organizer, or do I vote for a war hero,a political maverick with guts and a political resume who's not afraid to stick to his principles. I say NOBAMA!!! Baby
The label of "war hero" is subjective. Political maverick..hardly. Guts..maybe but McCain is aging rapidly and the job of commander and chief cannot go to an incoherant, wrinkled old prune who's policies are just a reptition of same ones that ran this country in to the ground. The only answer is Obama. Yes we can. :)
I'd rather have a wrinkled old prune that knows what he's doing and who is ready to lead from DAY ONE, than an airhead celeb who's only real talent is reading from a teleprompter. During the Russian crisis, McCain was right on target while Obama was busy body surfing. Btw, he could use one of those "male" bras. He has woman tits. Bet his wife is jealous.
Yes, little woman tits. They're bigger than Michelle's though.
Less than half of HC supporters claim they will support Obama. 30% say they are supporting him, but could change their mind. Over 20% say they will vote for McCain. I believe that number will grow considerably. So much for the messianic "unifier", lol. HC supporters will teach the media and their Coronated One a lesson. They dissed Hillary, now we're going to help kick their butts in Nov.
Em o.k whatever. I don't care enough about one of them over the other to take pot shots at one( or the other). This is going to be a historic election as it is. EIther the first black president or the first woman vice president. I just want to be treated fairly in this country as an American of middle eastern descent.
Hil-liar-y sucks as does NObama but not as much. But John McCain owns them all. And Congress hopefully will change too as they have failed like none before. A 15% approval rating should be enough to get their scumbag leaders out.
John McCain's voting record: Supports repealing Roe v. Wade. (May 2007) Voted YES on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions. (Jul 2006) Voted NO on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives. (Mar 2005) Voted YES on maintaining ban on Military Base Abortions. (Jun 2000) Voted YES on banning partial birth abortions. (Oct 1999) Rated 0% by NARAL, indicating a pro-life voting record. (Dec 2003)
I'm sure the liberals in congress will keep President McCain in check, but I'm also sure he'll flip on that issue and do what Obama is doing--flip flopping to the center. Obama is now even displaying pics of his white family members to try to win people in those "red" states he thinks he can take from republicans in Nov. Fat chance.
the denc screwed us women and hold us hostage by roe vs wade but then again our denmocratic congress and senate has done 0
obama flip flkops more than a fish! he has even said women with mental depressions should not have abortions...who is this guy? a puppet of george sorros or Dean
I like the stats, don't spend our money on birth control. Teach abstinence, get the parents involved, and don't allow humans to determine when it is ok to take another human's life unless that human has taken a life himself or herself. I like him already; I am tired of all the feel-good decisions. Let's get down to moral values again. Pffft! If un-evolving was such a thing, I think it would define our moral fiber ever since the hippie era in the 1960's.
For the past 25 years, John McCain has consistently voted against women's health. From opposing funding for family planning programs to voting against requiring insurance coverage of birth control, McCain has taken extreme positions. He has voted against women's health and has not supported legislation that would help reduce the rate of unintended pregnancies and the need for abortion. This has earned him a zero rating from Planned Parenthood.
The DNC's house negro is now pandering to women talking about "equal pay." He would do jack-squat except raise everybody's taxes. I'd rather take a cut in pay than reward the Hillary-bashing media and DNC by voting for THEIR candidate. Thank goodness there are enough rep/conservative women and Clinton supporters who will flock to the polls in Nov to vote for McCain.
love the video... It's sad it won't happen. But It's wonderful to be part of the first woman or the first black president in this election. Who would have thought in our lifetime we see this. Given our history, I think its a beautiful time, to be living to see these changings. Thanks for posting the video. I love sophie...
Problem with Bill's impeachment is they should have asked him about it privately and not in front of the world especially his daughter who was a minor at the time. I dont like them asking her about it either seems cheap and dirty to me.
You're just buying into the lies of the Obama lie machine. McCain is NOT Bush. And Obama voted for the Bush/Cheney energy bill, (McCain didn't) so he's not so against Bush's policies either.
I hope that Sophie, and all HC supporters register their disapproval of the DNC and the Hillary-bashing media by leaving the Dem party and registering Independent, en masse, as soon as Hillary concedes to Obama.
I will be supporting McCain, even if HC is chosen to be VP.
Look, I can see why your mother probably doesn't want to spend much time with you, but I sure as hell don't want to do it. I have better things to do than spend it here arguing with a dumb punk. There used to be "bubble gum" rock for kids. B.O. is a "bubble gum" candidate for kids who's brains are fried listening to that rap and hip-hop garbage all day. They think BO is going to do a moonwalk in office, choose a "posse" instead of a cabinet, etc.
Only an B.O. asshole would call Sophie's music "bubble gum." And why would Hillary hitch herself to a losing ticket?
If the Dem party are going to be stupid enough to choose BO, they DESERVE to lose in Nov. I wouldn't vote for that s.o.b. even if Hillary were on the ticket as VP. And when he sees all the HC supporters leaving the party to vote for McCain, he can thank the media and the Dem party for it. They are the ones who dissed Hillary for weeks. They'll feel the backlash too in Nov.
"America hates disloyal backstabbers and Judases, and Obama attracts them like flies."
LOL - pot meet the kettle. If America hates disloyal backstabbers and Judases, she must really love you since you will be selling out the Democratic Party come November.
Keep the stupidity coming, you old bat - you provide entertainment at its best.
Is that why the troops have been contributing to his campaign more than any other candidate still in the race? The only one who received more in military connected campaign contributions was Ron Paul. As for retired generals, what they think is irrelelvant, 99% of officers who make it that far are nothing but politicians in uniforms.
No, that is why they HAVEN'T been. I don't know what left-wing rag you're reading, but what you say is not true. We already know you left-wingers hate war heroes so it doesn't surprise me that you would dis our men and women in uniform. Putting Obama in office would be the ultimate slap on the face to the troops. The terrorists, however, would dance in the streets.
When any BO supporter is asked what qualifies him to be president, they can't think of anything other than, "because he can unify the nation." That is utterly ridiculous. He can't even unify the Dem party. There is a split in the Dem party, and many are NOT going to support Obama.
It's hard to unify something when you have a rogue CONdidate like Hillary who is holding the party hostage with her refusal to concede a race that's been over for weeks.
And you think he's going to do any better with terrorist leaders like the president of Iran? What a joke.
Hillary has every right to stay in the race and the only ones that want her to quit are the Cult of B.O.
Don't think for one minute that her supporters are going to "unite" behind B.O. even if she were to concede and tell them to. We will NOT. I will go Independent and vote for McCain if B.O. is the nominee.
"Don't think for one minute that her supporters are going to "unite" behind B.O. even if she were to concede and tell them to. We will NOT. I will go Independent and vote for McCain if B.O. is the nominee."
You've already told us about 23 times that you'll vote for McBush. Good for you. Now how you can speak for every other HRC supporter out there and how they're just as treacherous as you and will switch to McBush I have no idea. Does PMS-ing have clairvoyant side effects?
Hope I speak for a majority of them-enough to help McCain win against B.O. A reporter from a far left liberal Obama News Network (NBC, I think) asked one HC supporter who will be out today among the thousands expected to protest, was asked if she would support BO if he's the nom, she said "no", and that she'd vote for, and campaign hard for McCain. That reporter DID NOT like that answer. lol.
This is not the time to put another naive, Bush-like trainee in office. I heard the troops hate him.
"This is not the time to put another naive, Bush-like trainee in office. I heard the troops hate him."
I love how you distort and invent facts all day long. Obama is the only remaining viable candidate who is gonna do his best to end this ridiculous occupation ASAP. Which is exactly why he's been getting a ton of support from soldiers. All you HRC nitwits can protest all you want - this race is over. FL and MI will be counted as half votes since she's been crying about it retroactively. Done.
No it ain't over yet. Hopefully Hillary will take it all the way to the convention and damage Obama enough for McCain to merely have to finish the job in Nov.
The only "viable" thing about Obama is his mouth. He's a good speech giver...nothing else.
He is unelectable, and if he's chosen, the Dems will lose in Nov., (with my help).
Blah blah.... no, it's not over!.... blah blah.... I hope Hillary keeps running even after it's officially over!..... blah blah.... I hope Obama is damaged..... blah blah.... I'm a Fixed News sheep..... blah blah.... I'll vote for McBush because I'm a hysterical feminist.... blah blah. Go take a dick in our mouth and STFU already. We GET IT !
Spoken like a typical, no-class B.O. supporting sexist.
I am going to register Independent because I can't stand the thought of being in the same party with so many no-class "educated trash". Stick your head back up your ass now.
I don't get it - why are you registering as an Independent? McCain is a Republican, not an Independent! Just for kicks, I'd love to see Hillary run as VP with Obama just so all you hysterical HRC groupies can open your big, fat mouths and rant and rave some more.
Btw, I'm not really a sexist but it's fun to play one in this thread because you're so easily offended and get your panties in a bunch.
Well that's funny 'cuz it's clear to everyone here that YOU are the one throwing the hissy fits and speaking out of your ass.
Hillary would NOT accept a VP spot, especially not with the likes of an unelectable loser like B.O. It would be beneath her to be on the same ticket with him.
"Hillary would NOT accept a VP spot, especially not with the likes of an unelectable loser like B.O. It would be beneath her to be on the same ticket with him."
Funny coz Bill Clinton doesn't seem to think it's beneath her; that's why he's been making overtures for just that behind the scenes. Which goes to show just how shallow and non-principled Shrillary is. Race baiting one day, kissing ass the next.
I can't help it if you believe liberal propoganda bullshit about Bill trying to get the VP spot for Hillary. The B.O. cult plays the race card whenever it's convenient for them. Bill simply mentioned Jesse Jackson won NC and it's called "race baiting" by the hypersensitives. Like I said, I didn't know Jesse Jackson was hated by the black community, and Bill didn't either I'm sure.
"I can't help it if you believe liberal propoganda bullshit about Bill trying to get the VP spot for Hillary."
Ha ha, of course you believe that. But then again, you believe everything that doesn't jibe with your idealized view HRC is propoganda and lies. Ignorance is bliss.
"The B.O. cult plays the race card whenever it's convenient for them."
LOL - yeah, that really makes sense. Blacks make up 12% of the population - better pull the race card to piss off the other 88% if you want to win!
And an Independent can vote for anyone of any party, just like anyone else. I would rather just not belong any longer to a party with so many stupid asses in it. I never realized how many there were until B.O. brought them out of the woodwork.
If anyone is a rogue CON it's Obama. He has never been elected to anything--won his senate seat by default; he has never brought Reps and Dems together; he has never "unified" anything. There is no evidence that he has done anything he claims. His skills begin and end at his mouth, and he has played you all like a fiddle, or like a black racist reverend.
The bottom line is that Hillary is the stronger candidate for the general election, and if they choose Obama, the weaker candidate who trails McCain, it is an obvious case of reverse-discrimination, sexism, and handing something to someone based on his skin color, because they are choosing Obama because he's black. I agree with Geraldine Ferraro. I just wish Hillary would announce that she's running as an Independent if she's not nominated.
Btw, I watch Fox News now instead of any of the far left liberal "Obama News Networks" (MSNBC, NBC, etc.), but what is wrong with Dick Morris' bottom lip? When he talks, his bottom lip looks like a worm trying to slither away.
ron paul is the only decent guy, what happen to him i thought he was the richest president runner and i thought money was what put a person on the top when running for president but i guess i was wrong, i guess its even worst than money, seems like its a one sided thing and the media helps make sure only the people they want make it to the top... i cant believe Sophie B. Hawkins support Hilary! :( oh well it doesnt bother me
i hope people dont see this as, Hilary being a women and falling for that, or that obama is black... its as if the dam media purposely make it so our only choice are these, its almost an insult to our intelligence, they have full control, and i cant believe people are falling for it too... geez... ar... these candidates wont fix nothing theyll just put somtihng else in place of a failed system to fool ya, all they care for is control and to make sure you think you have control.
I think we're making progress if a woman and a black man can both get to the point where they're in line for POTUS. That is a sign of progress even if the best candidate might still be the white guy (which is not the case this time). And if you think Ron Paul is this knight in shining armor who is so much better than all the others - YOU are falling for something. Implementing change in this country is hard even for the most willing POTUS - I'm willing to bet Obama is better at it than the rest.
Ron Paul is not perfect in my view, but hes better then these front runners. His approach is obviously suicidal in manys eyes, since he is addressing so much of the real problem that we face as Americans. But thats what needs to be done, he never said he can solve it or make promises he cant keep unlike these other candidates. But hes a real American and says hell do his best to rid of all the corrupted and failed systems. Hes the only who really address the real problem of America.
Oh no...yet another "sleeping" person who needs awakening.. =((

Elementary socio-political change is needed!

What does purple have to do with the U.S.? Clearly our colors are red, white, and blue.
lilgirl51489 3 years ago
I'm not sure if that was meant ironically, but in case anyone does ponder this question seriously, when red and blue are mixed, they make purple.
jsheas53 3 years ago
purple represents "pride" for the gay community... maybe she was referring to "the land of the free" including gay people.
shaneword 3 years ago 2
That's definitely a possibility, and a shade of meaning that I like. But I figured it was primarily signifying that we aren't just conservatives (red) and liberals (blue), but a mix of moderates. :)

"A woman's place is in the White House" ???
What's being a woman (or a man) got to do with running a country the right way? Are American women really stupid enough to vote for someone just because of the genitalia they have? Or am I missing something obvious??
yohanan1969 3 years ago
tell that to the 92% of blacks who voted for obama in the primaries. young women voted for obama cause of his charisma and charm. now that's stupid
rob3gd 3 years ago
It wasn't so much that gender has anything to do with it, but to make it clear that a woman CAN be president; if you don't live in America, you wouldn't be aware of the incredible amount of sexism that still exists. Hillary lost, at least partly, because there are still A LOT of people who cannot bring themselves to vote for a woman. It was more of an empowering statement, rather than any sort of sexist one.

Yeah, they would be stupid enough to vote for her just because she is a women. Look how the nigs votes for barack. Even 114 year old blacks came out to vote for him for the first time.

NO WAY. NO HOW. NOBAMA.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago

Hopefully we will manage to keep him, Reverend Wright, and Bill Ayers out of the White House, then we can say America dodged a bullet.

ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
The war in Iraq costs over 10 billion dollars per month. We continue to spend money we don't have while borrowing money from nations we consider our adversaries. China lends us money for the war in Iraq and to buy Arab oil. The Chinese are happy to lend us the money because they realize the obvious --as we get weaker they get stronger both economically and militarily.
NoMagoo08 3 years ago
I guess it's easier to trash McCain than it is to think of a single qualification B.O. has to be POTUS.
Why do you think terrorist leaders like the Prez of Iran, and Fidel Castro are rooting for B.O.? They know he'll weaken America to where it will no longer be a leader and superpower in the world. When it comes down to it, Americans will not vote to give access to our White House to the likes of Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers, and B.O.'s other America-hating friends.
NO WAY. NO HOW. NOBAMA.

OBAMA/BIDEN '08!
NoMagoo08 3 years ago
Sorry to deeply disappoint, but your MESSiah can't even crack 50% in the polls, and his attempt to tie McCain with Bush is proving to be a failure. Meanwhile, McCain's attempt to tie B.O. to America-hater Bill Ayers is working. The only reason he is even tied with McCain is because of the "Bradley effect."
Btw, where was Rev. Wright, Ayers, and big B.O. endorser John Edwards, and the rest of B.O.'s posse last night? Maybe they'll be in attendance today for the big celeb par-tay.

The more people get to know Obama, the more they dislike him, as the polls are reflecting.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago

HC supporters, stand your ground! Country before party loyalty. Obama won't win without HC supporters--the same people he and his camp and his media spent the primaries laughing at, dismissing, and disprespecting, and on Nov. 4, they are going to regret it.
Obama's choice of Biden is more proof of his crappy judgment.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
You are either a Republican fright wing John McCain voter (posing as a HRC supporter) or you were and are completely unaware of the policies Hillary Clinton was attempting to deliver. They are a mirror reflection of Senator Obama's... and nothing even close to what McCain is trying to propose. McCain is the anti-Hillary. Stop hiding behind the false pretense of supporting Hillary if you're voting for Bush 3 to continue his tragic policies. A vote against Obama is a vote for more George W Bush!
NoMagoo08 3 years ago
I was a lifelong Democrat until the DNC showed their true sexist, misogynist colors. Now I am an Independent voting for McCain. What you Obama idiots fail to realize is that Hillary could've got the job done--B.O. CAN'T. He is nothing but hot air and rhetoric in a suit. Hillary could've BEAT McCain--Obama CAN'T. Not ONCE did she say she thought he would be a good POTUS or leader. She said what she had to say.
NO WAY. NO HOW. NOBAMA.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
Did you disgruntled HRC supporters care at all for her policies? I ask because John McCain's political agenda couldn't be more diametrically opposed to Senator Clinton's. He voted with Bush 95% of the time. Are you kidding me? A vote for McCain is a vote opposing Hillary's policies. A vote for McCain is a vote against Hillary's Democratic principles (RE: Health Care, Equal Wages, Tax Cuts for the Middle Class, Pro-Choice etc.) Do you really want to cut your nose off to spite your own face?
NoMagoo08 3 years ago
A vote for Obama is a vote for a weak America. Obama is soft on crime, soft on border security; his voting record as an IL legislator is abysmal. He goes overseas to ingratiate himself as a "citizen of the world" bashing the USA. Hillary HERSELF called him "naive", and he has proved it. Obama has rode into the nomination on rhetoric, the race card, bluster, and saying a whole lot of NOTHING. Democracy left the Democratic party when the DNC stole the nomination away from Hillary.
Nobama '08.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
The ultimate revenge and satisfaction for HC supporters would be to see Obama and Biden go back to their senate seats in Nov., hopefully never to be heard from again, while President McCain chooses Hillary for Sec of State in his cabinet.

The label of "war hero" is subjective. Political maverick..hardly. DinaStrangee 3 years ago
I'd rather have a wrinkled old prune that knows what he's doing and who is ready to lead from DAY ONE, than an airhead celeb who's only real talent is reading from a teleprompter. KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT JOHN MCCAIN

Well it ain't gonna get that far.

"Bubble gum" music like Sophie B. Hawkins?
Barack Obama should just choice HRC as Vice-President and be done with it.
RNSSR 3 years ago
Only an B.O. asshole would call Sophie's music "bubble gum." And why would Hillary hitch herself to a losing ticket?
If the Dem party are going to be stupid enough to choose BO, they DESERVE to lose in Nov. I wouldn't vote for that s.o.b. even if Hillary were on the ticket as VP. And when he sees all the HC supporters leaving the party to vote for McCain, he can thank the media and the Dem party for it. They are the ones who dissed Hillary for weeks. They'll feel the backlash too in Nov.

America hates disloyal backstabbers and Judases, and Obama attracts them like flies.

Hillary has the endorsements of several military generals. And, of course, the military highly respects McCain.
You don't hear on the news what the troops and military think of Obama because it would not be flattering for him.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
Is that why the troops have been contributing to his campaign more than any other candidate still in the race? The only one who received more in military connected campaign contributions was Ron Paul. As for retired generals, what they think is irrelelvant, 99% of officers who make it that far are nothing but politicians in uniforms.
richardgozinya 3 years ago
No, that is why they HAVEN'T been. I don't know what left-wing rag you're reading, but what you say is not true. We already know you left-wingers hate war heroes so it doesn't surprise me that you would dis our men and women in uniform. Putting Obama in office would be the ultimate slap on the face to the troops. The terrorists, however, would dance in the streets.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
When any BO supporter is asked what qualifies him to be president, they can't think of anything other than, "because he can unify the nation." That is utterly ridiculous. He can't even unify the Dem party. There is a split in the Dem party, and many are NOT going to support Obama.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
It's hard to unify something when you have a rogue CONdidate like Hillary who is holding the party hostage with her refusal to concede a race that's been over for weeks.
SabuPtolemy 3 years ago
And you think he's going to do any better with terrorist leaders like the president of Iran? What a joke.
Hillary has every right to stay in the race and the only ones that want her to quit are the Cult of B.O.
Don't think for one minute that her supporters are going to "unite" behind B.O. even if she were to concede and tell them to. We will NOT. I will go Independent and vote for McCain if B.O. is the nominee.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
"Don't think for one minute that her supporters are going to "unite" behind B.O. even if she were to concede and tell them to. We will NOT. I will go Independent and vote for McCain if B.O. is the nominee."
You've already told us about 23 times that you'll vote for McBush. Good for you. Now how you can speak for every other HRC supporter out there and how they're just as treacherous as you and will switch to McBush I have no idea. Does PMS-ing have clairvoyant side effects?
SabuPtolemy 3 years ago
Hope I speak for a majority of them-enough to help McCain win against B.O. A reporter from a far left liberal Obama News Network (NBC, I think) asked one HC supporter who will be out today among the thousands expected to protest, was asked if she would support BO if he's the nom, she said "no", and that she'd vote for, and campaign hard for McCain. That reporter DID NOT like that answer. lol.
This is not the time to put another naive, Bush-like trainee in office. I heard the troops hate him.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
"This is not the time to put another naive, Bush-like trainee in office. I heard the troops hate him."
I love how you distort and invent facts all day long. Obama is the only remaining viable candidate who is gonna do his best to end this ridiculous occupation ASAP. Which is exactly why he's been getting a ton of support from soldiers. All you HRC nitwits can protest all you want - this race is over. FL and MI will be counted as half votes since she's been crying about it retroactively. Done.
SabuPtolemy 3 years ago
No it ain't over yet. Hopefully Hillary will take it all the way to the convention and damage Obama enough for McCain to merely have to finish the job in Nov.
The only "viable" thing about Obama is his mouth. He's a good speech giver...nothing else.
He is unelectable, and if he's chosen, the Dems will lose in Nov., (with my help).
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
Blah blah.... no, it's not over!.... blah blah.... I hope Hillary keeps running even after it's officially over!..... blah blah.... I hope Obama is damaged..... blah blah.... I'm a Fixed News sheep..... blah blah.... I'll vote for McBush because I'm a hysterical feminist.... blah blah. Go take a dick in our mouth and STFU already. We GET IT !
SabuPtolemy 3 years ago
Spoken like a typical, no-class B.O. supporting sexist.
I am going to register Independent because I can't stand the thought of being in the same party with so many no-class "educated trash". Stick your head back up your ass now.
HILLARY '08 or McCain '08!
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
I don't get it - why are you registering as an Independent? McCain is a Republican, not an Independent! Just for kicks, I'd love to see Hillary run as VP with Obama just so all you hysterical HRC groupies can open your big, fat mouths and rant and rave some more.
Btw, I'm not really a sexist but it's fun to play one in this thread because you're so easily offended and get your panties in a bunch.
SabuPtolemy 3 years ago
Well that's funny 'cuz it's clear to everyone here that YOU are the one throwing the hissy fits and speaking out of your ass.
Hillary would NOT accept a VP spot, especially not with the likes of an unelectable loser like B.O. It would be beneath her to be on the same ticket with him.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
"Hillary would NOT accept a VP spot, especially not with the likes of an unelectable loser like B.O. It would be beneath her to be on the same ticket with him."
Funny coz Bill Clinton doesn't seem to think it's beneath her; that's why he's been making overtures for just that behind the scenes. Which goes to show just how shallow and non-principled Shrillary is. Race baiting one day, kissing ass the next.
SabuPtolemy 3 years ago
I can't help it if you believe liberal propoganda bullshit about Bill trying to get the VP spot for Hillary. The B.O. cult plays the race card whenever it's convenient for them. Bill simply mentioned Jesse Jackson won NC and it's called "race baiting" by the hypersensitives. Like I said, I didn't know Jesse Jackson was hated by the black community, and Bill didn't either I'm sure.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
"I can't help it if you believe liberal propoganda bullshit about Bill trying to get the VP spot for Hillary."
Ha ha, of course you believe that. But then again, you believe everything that doesn't jibe with your idealized view HRC is propoganda and lies. Ignorance is bliss.
"The B.O. cult plays the race card whenever it's convenient for them."
LOL - yeah, that really makes sense. Blacks make up 12% of the population - better pull the race card to piss off the other 88% if you want to win!
SabuPtolemy 3 years ago
And an Independent can vote for anyone of any party, just like anyone else. I would rather just not belong any longer to a party with so many stupid asses in it. I never realized how many there were until B.O. brought them out of the woodwork.
Btw, I'm sure you "don't get" alot of things.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
If anyone is a rogue CON it's Obama. He has never been elected to anything--won his senate seat by default; he has never brought Reps and Dems together; he has never "unified" anything. There is no evidence that he has done anything he claims. His skills begin and end at his mouth, and he has played you all like a fiddle, or like a black racist reverend.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
The bottom line is that Hillary is the stronger candidate for the general election, and if they choose Obama, the weaker candidate who trails McCain, it is an obvious case of reverse-discrimination, sexism, and handing something to someone based on his skin color, because they are choosing Obama because he's black. I agree with Geraldine Ferraro. I just wish Hillary would announce that she's running as an Independent if she's not nominated.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
Btw, I watch Fox News now instead of any of the far left liberal "Obama News Networks" (MSNBC, NBC, etc.), but what is wrong with Dick Morris' bottom lip? When he talks, his bottom lip looks like a worm trying to slither away.
ajustpeachy1 3 years ago
ron paul is the only decent guy, what happen to him i thought he was the richest president runner and i thought money was what put a person on the top when running for president but i guess i was wrong, i guess its even worst than money, seems like its a one sided thing and the media helps make sure only the people they want make it to the top... i cant believe Sophie B. Hawkins support Hilary! :( oh well it doesnt bother me
fleshsniper1 3 years ago
i hope people dont see this as, Hilary being a women and falling for that, or that obama is black... its as if the dam media purposely make it so our only choice are these, its almost an insult to our intelligence, they have full control, and i cant believe people are falling for it too... geez... ar... these candidates wont fix nothing theyll just put somtihng else in place of a failed system to fool ya, all they care for is control and to make sure you think you have control.
fleshsniper1 3 years ago
I think we're making progress if a woman and a black man can both get to the point where they're in line for POTUS. That is a sign of progress even if the best candidate might still be the white guy (which is not the case this time). And if you think Ron Paul is this knight in shining armor who is so much better than all the others - YOU are falling for something. Implementing change in this country is hard even for the most willing POTUS - I'm willing to bet Obama is better at it than the rest.
SabuPtolemy 3 years ago
Ron Paul is not perfect in my view, but hes better then these front runners. His approach is obviously suicidal in manys eyes, since he is addressing so much of the real problem that we face as Americans. But thats what needs to be done, he never said he can solve it or make promises he cant keep unlike these other candidates. But hes a real American and says hell do his best to rid of all the corrupted and failed systems. Hes the only who really address the real problem of America.

Btw, "pinchey gabron" is Spanish for what Bill Richardson is.
