Where do you get your information. What books can you recommend for a more advanced enthusiast? I'm interested in the Bully Kutta and the extinct Allaunt. Can you cite your sources? (I'm only fluent in english.)
ive seen a few of these dogs in helmand province afghanistan and also in kandahar. i commented on a video previously as it was the first time i thot i saw the breed. but i now realise i have seen these before. i also think i saw kurdish kangels or some kind of mixed breeds. huge dogs and very impressive to look at. i keep english bull terriers currently but im starting to be very interested in this breed, thanks for your education and information
i am from Pakistan and i would like to clarify that the original Bully kutta of Sindhi mastiff is still present in Pakistan. It is very hard to find so many ppl have tried to make replicas of Sindhi mastiffs by mixing up other mastiff breeds with the regional Bull terriers. The most common feature that makes the original Bully Kutta recognizable is the big mastiff head and the heavily wrinkled face. If the dog dosnt have a large head and a HEAVILY wrinkled face it is anything BUT a Bully Kutta.
Only the Gutter Press has coined this dog the beast from the east lol.. I just hope this breed does not get ruined like the true working bullmastiff has. Bullmastiffs of today look nothing like the working dogs of the past.
Do you know what the average life span is of the Bully Kutta? I love Bullmastiffs but will never have another one because of there short life span. Mine died at about 10 was properly loooked after, my other breeds lived 16 and 16.5 years
@EltonChong75 Both the dogs in the videos are good but unfortunately both of themare not pure bully kuttas. Both r mix breeds , specially the Fawn coloured dog is not anywhere near bieng a bully kutta. If you want to see the real deal bully kutta you must search for videos on youtube by the name of ANCIENT BULLY KUTTAS or BUDHU AND ZIDDI BULLY KUTTAS.
Respond to this video... I would also like to clarify that the pure Bully Kuttas are not as tall as they are portrait to be. The real Bullys are shorter in height than the dogs in this video though much more heavily built.

This is one of the ugliest breed of dog I have ever seen.
I know they are bred for ability only. But it wouldn't hurt just to straighten out their looks a bit. This is a very scummy and mangy looking breed. To be honest I think they could fight very well but still are not the best fighting breed, nor is the pit bull.

You are only half right Alexander used the roman wardogs AKA Cane Corso not the Indian mastiff. Indian Mastiff mixed with the larg mossler mad Cane Corsos's or Canus Pugnax, Sicilian Branchero. Alexander owned Cane Corso's.

Hello thanks for your comment you are right in a way to think that because the modern dogs do have some of the breeds you mention in their genetics. Some of the crossings have produced some very good high breeds

I am very positive you dont own a bully kutta if you think this statement is true if this is the case that you dont own a breed then be very careful what statement you make my friend. according to intelligence of dogs ranking list all mastiffs are in low to below medium learning abilities from 70 to 79 it also include failure to understand command in 25% cases nad because of being independant some time disobeying is issue

And many experts agree aghanistan is the cradle of civilisation = Sage Koochee? i just think you cant discount the CAO as being the oldest breed but you can also justify the sindh mastiff/bully kutta depending on what angle you take? No one can deny they are very close cousins. Their size, weight and features are just too similar to discount. I do love the look of these Bullys though!! Obviously as my name suggests with a little hink twist lol. GOOD UPLOAD!!
You make a reasonable and educated point but I must say that the CAO in its modern form is very very different from the Ancient type. Naturally all breeds go through transformations and so do humans. In remote villages in Pakistan that have not had any financial reasons to bullshit, you will be very surprised at how ancient some lines are out there. These dogs in Pakistan show very different regional features and you can see the difference in the breed from village to village.
But one thing we cant be certain of is the ancestry of these Pakistani mastiffs with the influence of so many cultures in that region and thousands of years of different occupation. Iran, Iraq, turkey, Syria have all been occupied repeatedly by different cultures and suffered many different wars. I also notice you say the dog fighters are the ones who got their hands on the purest examples of bully kutta/sindh but under british occupation they introduced breeds like the hinksbullterrier for
example to give them greater pain thresholds and tenacity for the fighting. This is after thousands of years of other occupational influences. Therefore being one element in diluting the bloodlines it would be very silly to conclude Pakistan hold the best ancient mastiff examples. This is why I agree more with the cynologist, Strang, who proposed it, was more likely the roots of this ancient mastiff family may trace even further East, to Asia, which allows us to more confidently say the sage
koochee/Central Asian shepherd, akbash have the purest natural/ancient mastiff bloodlines present today.
However I actually prefer the new gull terr/hinks mastiff mix to their would be ancestral form. And I love the look of your young gull dang male! I admire your passion though thanks for upload!
There can never be 100%certainty on the history of a breed so ancient and surrounded in such mystery and suspense. Finally a breeder/enthusiast must settle on an angle that he or she feels is most plausible. The most important message from this is to eradicate the nonsense that this wonderful breed only dreams and wishes to kill other dogs. Fighting is only a more modern role for this dynamic breed
I will have to remind you that I also breed the CAO so I understand that angle also very very well. We must keep a focus on the topic at hand the breed is the Bully Kutta and how this breed came to be not the Rottweiler or poodles history or CAO we must compare apples with apples otherwise the fools amongst us will cause non productive arguments. Sorry Ben. but the Indian mastiff is also called the alangu mastiff and it is a different breed. The bully kutta in indian is a sindh mastiff :)

Great upload awesome looking dogs! If these are only remnants of the ancient beautiful mastiffs then fair play to pooch for trying to bring them back to us in the west! But knowing pooch he will have done his homework and found the purest examples. COUNT ON THIS!! And many experts agree aghanistan is the cradle of civilisation = Sage Koochee? i just think you cant discount the CAO as being the oldest breed but you can also justify the sindh mastiff/bully kutta depending on what angle you take? No one can deny they are very close cousins. Their size, weight and features are just too similar to discount. I do love the look of these Bullys though!! You make a reasonable and educated point but I must say that the CAO in its modern form is very very different from the Ancient type. Naturally all breeds go through transformations and so do humans. In remote villages in Pakistan that have not had any financial reasons to bullshit, you will be very surprised at how ancient some lines are out there. These dogs in Pakistan show very different regional features and you can see the difference in the breed from village to village.

Iran, Iraq, turkey, Syria have all been occupied repeatedly by different cultures and suffered many different wars. There can never be 100%certainty on the history of a breed so ancient and surrounded in such mystery and suspense. Finally a breeder/enthusiast must settle on an angle that he or she feels is most plausible. The most important message from this is to eradicate the nonsense that this wonderful breed only dreams and wishes to kill other dogs. Fighting is only a more modern role for this dynamic breed

We must keep a focus on the topic at hand the breed is the Bully Kutta and how this breed came to be not the Rottweiler or poodles history or CAO we must compare apples with apples otherwise the fools amongst us will cause non productive arguments.
