  • America's messages have to be spoken!!! Would you trust Obama's latest health care policy? Drop by my tube profile to discover precisely why your opinons are valued !

  • How many Republicans does it take to screw in a light bulb?

None. If the liberals would just leave it alone, it would change itself.

  • How many Republicans does it take to change a lightbulb?

None, they just leave it to burn out and keep you in the dark,

  • Word.

  • Thanks, I thought it nailed it quite well.

  • Indeed :)

  • Don't know, ask me when you have a Marxist Administration

  • Watch "The Obama Deception." It doesn't matter if the loggo is Elephant or Donkey. The Whitehouse is irrelevant. We post our silly words, and we are merely pawns in a global scheme.

  • i really can't stand idiots like you

  • When you're right, you're right. Good deals are a two-way street. If Republicans aren't going to trade, they shouldn't be given concessions. You're right about the President too, being so politician instead of adamant.

  • Colombus1100 See it

  • Pity the poor 'federal counselor' who would try to interview my parents every 5 years. They would have to get by me, my brother and my sister, numerous cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Just try it! It is OUR BUSINESS NOT THE GOVERNMENTS. PERIOD. NO DISCUSSION. THIS IS STILL AMERICA AND GOD BLESS HER - and save her from THIS administration

  • It is obvious we have failed at teaching world history to our young people and we have failed at teaching them even basic economics. America cannot afford this new handout. Also it is up to us as individuals, churches, non-profits & other private sector organizations help the poor, the widows and the orphans. I pray we could have a government doing what the founding fathers designed it to do and leave the rest to the goodness of the American people. Or have we lost our moral compass? I say no.

  • That's what you get when liberals control the school system for 100 years.

  • Right now our current system does not reward people for being healthy and that is why it is unsustainable. The healthy people end up paying for the people who get sick often if you have any common sense you would be able to see that this is inherently flawed by design. I don't need to go on about how most health problems are preventable by changing diet and exercising. Why should unhealthy life styles be further subsidized??

  • 1. Socialism-a failure historically w/o exception. 2. How many neurosurgeons will train 20yrs to earn the same as a dentist (1/2 trning tm). 3. Stop pushing us.Work on the uninsured only leave the rest of our health care system alone. 4. Close the border, WE ARE BROKE. Legals can enter the system w/us. 5. Makers of the plan better be joining us including the pres. 6. Don't even think I will pay any tax to kill a baby, NOT going to happen

  • Illegal immigration is our fault. You can blame NAFTA and the War on Drugs for completely destroying Mexico. This health care debate is absolutely ridiculous the USA has much bigger problems like what happens when we have high inflation and no growth and we default on our debt. Adding trillions of dollars in the form of health care reform will not help us fiscally when this reform doesn't even seem to address the problems with health care.

  • have you ever thought that your doctors and surgeouns earn too much? and you pay there wages anyway? people don't need to earn that much money. the health care reform in the states is a good thing it will halp bridge the gap between the rich and poor and improve the countrys health not make it worse.

  • The Democrats will be coming back to session with shell shock....they are shocked at the bi partisan opposition to Obama's communist health care wet dreams.

  • I agree. Obama won the election in large part because the American people liked his health care ideas, but the Republican lie-machine has a lot of money to spend and people are very susceptible to propaganda. Oh well, this was a great country once until the idiots started screaming communist at everything they disagree with.

  • Obama's healthcare reform will force everyone to get abortions. It will also use death panels to kill everyone who is 75 or older. It will also make over half the population gay eventually.

  • youve got to be kidding

  • Its all true. You just need to read the bill very closely. It will force everyone on this "public option" which forces everyone to get free abortions. It also has death panels which kills everyone over 75. It also tries to persuade people to become gay which, they hope, will make over half the population gay.

  • Thats funny. Family Guy or South Park funny.

  • You are the only person who actually realized this was a joke. I just wanted to see how people would react. lol

  • tty1000: There is nothing about forcing anyone to have abortions. The "death panels" are entirely made up. Don't drink any of Glenn Beck's Kool-Aid.

  • tty1000: I hope you're being sarcastic.

  • It is kind of amazing some "people" think health costs are like buying a car or any other commercial proposition (eg: all the insurance co-sponsored posts on Youtube by varying "people"). You can plan to buy a car or a house: it's your own responsibility and your money allocation--but you can't plan a medical affliction. Not the same. I simply note one anti-health plan person on Ytube had her two fave videos as a) a revolver shooting into a tank, and b) a clip of Milton F'man on "Greed". True!!

  • pretty sure you don't plan to have your house burn down(homeowner's insurance) and you don't plan on suddenly dying(life insurance) you don't plan to crash your car(car insurance) just like other insurances you don't plan on having health problems. The public option is not the best way to solve the problem. The fact that you need insurance to pay for most medical expenses is absolutely absurd when in reality the only procedures that should cost that much money are catastrophic care.

  • I find it hilarious that to the immediate right, the advertisement that it shows for me anyways is an ad saying "Support the Republican Healthcare Bill of Rights for Seniors", with a picture of an old lady looking into the frame holding papers. Irony much.

  • there better be a fucking public option

  • I nor my band had ANYTHING to do with the comment that was posted. That is why I removed it.

The person who wrote the previous comment didn't realize that our account was signed into their computer.

  • Seriously you have 60 Democrats in the Senate. Screw Republicans.

  • I don't watch Fox news but can someone please explain why they are so much more biased than any other Liberal main stream media? Because they show the other side of things where few will? Their news reporting is just as valid as any other source.

  • Comment removed

  • From other sources i've seen and heard they do exist, only under "end of life" panels. As for coverage for illegals, last I checked you don't have to use proof of citizenship to get medical care. Also ID theft is fairly common in this day and age. A fair amount of that is from illegals. Please counter the lies, because they have just as much proof as the other guys.

  • I'd just like to comment that this is the most sane and respectful discussion of any topic that I've ever witnessed on Youtube.

  • a thought occured to me today after talking to a woman suing our local hospital. Why is no one bringing up the multimillion dollar law suits that have to be payed out by the ins. comp. That in turn gets passed on to the consumer. I'm not saying this is the reason for all the price hikes, but it definately takes a pretty big toll. The lady today won a settlement for 8 mil. That is absolutely crazy.

  • I have brought up the multimillion dollar lawsuits.

The problem there is that there are lawyers out there who can see massive amounts of cash every time somebody dies or is injured. Also another problem is that the welfare system in the US is such that if somebody is maimed, they will starve unless they can find a way to get a large payout from a lawsuit.

Because of this lawsuit culture, hospitals have to get very expensive equipment and do more expensive treatment to prevent lawsuits.

  • I totally agree with your point except for " another problem is that the welfare system in the US is such that if somebody is maimed, they will starve unless they can find a way to get a large payout from a lawsuit." There aren't any that I have every heard of that starve from being hurt in the welfare system. I could be wrong. Generally speaking though people using or abusing the welfare system are on multiple systems getting help from many gov. agencies.

  • The Republicans can't really say the real reason they are not for this healthcare reform simply because it is all about money. They are yelling and spreading this false information because they have an agenda. They complain that this reform is socialist when in fact it has aspects of socialism and also capitalism in the way it would certainly introduce competition. The service is socialistic but the competition is capitalism and this is what the Republicans are scared of.

  • That is a complete contridiction. you cannot be capitalist and socialist at the same time. There would be no comp. the government would have no overhead. When money runs short they just raise taxes.

  • Have you ever heard of the so-called 'Third Way'? This is a socio-political system predicated as a compromise between socialism and capitalism. Tony Blair and Bill Clinton and Australia's current PM Kevin Rudd have been referred to as 'Third Way' politicians. It's main contemporary theorist is the British sociologist Anthony Giddens. It would be fair to describe Obama as an adherent of the Third Way, or something like it.

  • the third way is also considered a betrayal to both sides of the fence.

  • No, I don't think so. By the way, I've just looked at your profile and would like to say that whilst I disagree with you profoundly I bear you absolutely no malice, and wish you all the best.

  • the same, and I never thought anything different.

  • Well that's not exactly precise. You can have true capitalism in a socialist country. Much of South America is more capitalist than the U.S. And the have more socialist govt's. That is why they look the way they do. Their gov't do not support the capitalism the way that the U.S. does. I don't know how old you are, how many past decades you recall, but the U.S. gov't has been bailing out many large corporations for nearly a century. That in itself is the marriage of Capitalism and socialism.

  • For example the supposedly conservative and capitalist president George Bush initiated a large scale bailout of the corporate banking system, which Obama continued. It really is an unavoidable contradiction in terms of broadcast rhetoric about capitalist America. Of course there is a distinction made, only large corporations and the elite who are the constituents of the political class may participate in this socialism. Socialism for the "upper" class and true capitalism for the "lower" class.

  • Good point, I guess I never thought o it that way. I do agree with most of it. Can you explain socialism for the upper and capitalism for the lower though, because in my mind that is reversed. The gov. wants to socialize the masses and keep the riches for themselves.

  • kultorthedestroyer

"Can you explain socialism for the upper and capitalism for the lower though"

In 500 characters or less lol. I suppose a simplification can be made without too much distortion. The basic working premise for corporatism in the U.S is privatize the profits and socialize the losses. Which is a working relationship between a type of capitalism with socialist leanings. For the lower class it is a truer form of capitalism. Sink or swim, dog eat dog, or whatever euphemism you want.

  • But the main problem with socializing the losses is it puts the strain back on the people through exorbitant taxes. The government does generate much revenue on it's own. Definately not enough to support itself let alone an entire nation. BTW if you want you could send me a private message to word limit.

  • The problem is that in the US, the corporations have collossal amounts of influence. They have eliminated so many of the laws that prevented them from making decisions that boosted profits short term but did long term damage, like fuel economy laws, safety laws and laws that prevented banks from gambling in high risk dirivitives. This is why the French, German and Italian carmakers have thrived while GM and Chrysler went bankrupt.

  • I thought that the competition was between American car companies and Chinese car comp. The Chinese are pretty much able to pay their workers whatever they want vs minimum wage and labour unions here. America was not able to compete with them. Generally speaking most euro cars are lux cars. I do realize your point but I think it a little more complicated than fuel econ. Unfortunately Americans do love big gas burning cars. I ride a moto though.

  • Toyota and Honda have plants in the US. The workers are not as well compensated as american car makers, but its average. There's a honda plant her in Ohio

  • that is true, but the plants here a mainly for assembly. So the parts are made over there and sent here. Strangely enough thats cheaper.

  • These days, they make parts all over the planet for installation in other countries. A lot of engines for Chevrolets and Pontiacs are built in the Holden plant in Port Melbourne, Australia.

  • I think we are talking about different points. The unions here demand so much in their benefits, but productions is kept at a bare min. that profitablity is pushed to the back. I do know this for a fact. My grandfather worked for GM for 35 yrs. my father in law had a union job that got moved to Mexico and my last step father is a union welder. Production is back of the line in comparison to worker compensation. Do less get more is basically the moto.

  • The unions in Germany, Italy and especially France are extremely strong (and more militant) compared to the American unions.

A big part of the $75 an hour that they have been talking about is because pension and healthcare plans were underfunded back when GM and Chrysler and Ford were highly profitable. This meant that the debt for pensions and healthcare was built up.

This created so much debt that when GM and Chrysler went bankrupt, the biggest creditors were the unions.

  • I agree fully, up until a few yrs ago my my grandparents had 100% coverage on their prescription meds through GM. That cost to the company was in the billions. It benefited them but the cost to the company was crippling. That was all because of the unions. I believe in an honest wage but the unions take it to the Nth degree causing repercussions through out all businesses.

  • The problem is that when your grandparents were building cars, GM had underfunded the healthcare costs, in order to boost short term profits. GM was highly profitable into the 80s and 90s. Had they not cut short term costs like pension plans, healthcare, as well as R&D and design, and sending jobs to Mexico where the workers were less skilled, they would not have suffered long term.Quality, fuel economy, and profitability have all suffered from short term costcutting.

  • Sort of. The technology for more fuel economic cars has been around for quite awhile. Americans like big, fast cars. It's only recently with social engineering and propaganda is it that they feel guilty, but despite that guilt they are still buying big gas guzzlers

  • Mercedes build big big powerful cars, Nissan do, VW have big powerful cars in their range, as do Toyota. All have comparably good fuel economy.

And it is not social engineering that is making people buy more efficient cars, it is the speculators who drove the oil price up to $200 a barrel a couple of years ago.

  • that would be OPEC that drove the prices up. Supply and demand. We use goes up OPEC regulates and raises prices. When use goes down OPEC re-regulates and drops prices. Yes mercedes does make big , powerful cars, theytend to be out of the average american's price range.

  • Actually it was speculators who had bailed out of the subprime mortgage mess once the dirivitives that relied on subprimes slowed in growth in about 2004/2005. Yes, OPEC can drive prices up, but only by limiting supply. That is what caused the oil crisis of the 70s. Supply was not being limited here, in fact they were trying very hard to increase supply and refining capacity.

  • I'll admit that I don't have all the facts on this one, but that doesn't sound quite right.

  • Sorry to be pedantic but the highest oil got to was $147 in July '08.

Spectulators certaninly had a role to play in this however you can't ignore simple supply and demand (the industrailsation of China & India for instance) and geo politics such as the ever present tensions / occasional war in the Middle East. All these factors have to be taken into retrospective consideration when looking at the last years oil price spike.

  • sorry, my mistake. They were saying that it SHOULD hit $200...

Of course, we all know who started THAT war we are all talking about...

In an interesting sidenote, in 1997, when oil was $11 a barrel, Bin Laden was saying that the West were stealing their oil, and the price of oil should be about $140 a barrel... Looks like the terrorists won that one...

  • Agree 100% about the Iraq wars impact on oil prices.

Opec believes the "fair price" of oil is $80 - $90. Maybe Mr Bin Laden's analyst was slightly more bullish given the spot price is $73.

Anyway, as I posted previously this is rather pedantic of me and I agree broadly with your postings - good work dude.

  • Good, the fact that you agree with the broad sweep of what I say but not the minutiae shows you are thinking.

Unlike those on the Far Right who seem to believe anything that FOX or Worldnetdaily say no matter how ridiculous.

  • kultofthedestroyer: "Social engineering and propaganda?" More like common sense. Sooner or later, people have to realize that there is a finite supply of oil on this Earth, and that as that supply is burned, the environmental impacts worldwide will be catastrophic. If you are driving towards a bridge and see a sign that says "BRIDGE OUT," is that sign "propaganda?" Is the only independant-minded thing to do to continue driving until you run off the pier and land in the creek?

  • As for Americans liking "big, fast cars," why did people scramble to trade their huge, useless phallic symbols for cars that you could actually afford to fill up.

  • Really why are there multiple reports of people buying Hummers, Ford F150's, and other gas guzzlers?

  • They did it because the words "free money" came into the picture. People waited for months after they heard that 3500-4500 would be free. People that most likely can't afford this new car they have now. Good job Obama.

  • Propaganda in terms of polar bears sitting on lone ice bergs in the middle of the ocean due to global warming. THEY CAN SWIM! That global warming is happening. There is no definative proof. The last 10 hottest yrs in the world also "happen" to coincide with record numbers of solar flares. I'm all for being a good steward of our world, but don't blow smoke up my butt. I think it is time that the world gets off oil. Do it properly though, do the research and make sure it works.

  • kultofthedestroyer: Polar bears can swim, but they aren't aquatic, they can't live in the water. You can probably tread water pretty well, but I doubt that being stranded 7 miles from shore would be a pleasant experience for you. Solar flares? Are you serious? You can only say that there is "no evidence" of global warming if you close your eyes and plug your fingers in your ears and sit in an air conditioned room and never go outside.

  • Yerk I'll ask have you ever lived in Alaska? I have. Coldest I have ever been has been in AK 32 below with a negative 10 wind chill. No PB aren't aquatic, but trying to say their land is disapearing is a flat out lie. The PB population has increased over 500% in the last 50 yrs. If it was so hard for them up there whyn is there pop. increasing by the yr? The evidence is there on solar flares, and I don't see how it's such a stretch for you. If your an evolutionist, it's the number one

  • thing that has created life on this planet. No sun no life. Before you say something like what about bottom of the ocean or caves or whatever. It has been proven by secular scientists the opposite. The sun creates heat, heat creates life.

  • kultofthedestroyer: Ah, so just because it isn't frying near the Arctic circle means that global warming is a total myth, right? I'lll ask you, have you ever been to Texas in the summer? Solar flares mess up electronic equipment, they don't create record heat waves or melt polar ice caps.

  • global warming is scarry, but the times when the earth was the warmest, there weren't any cars or factories. i'm not trying to say that man made greenhouse gasses aren't causing this. i'm basically saying we don't know what the problem is or even if it is a problem at all. this is a little fuzzy, so i'm going to go read about it, but i'm pretty sure the last time the planet was warmer than this, africa was much more fertile because they got plenty of rain. just things to consider.

  • Scientist have taken core samples in the arctic and found that the earth several thousand yrs ago was actually a full degree hotter than the hottest yr on record. World temp, not local.

  • Actually, I lived in southern NM, I graduated high school thee. I also have lived in AZ. Anyway yes it's hot, it's always been hot. Solar flares CAN mess up extremely sensitive electronic equip., but that doesn't mean it will. How about the volcano in the Alaskan waters? Also way are is the ice at the Antarctic getting thicker and increasing? The sun affects the temp. of the earth. It's what keep us alive. How can you so easily discount it?

  • The Europeans make luxury cars (Mercedes, Rolls Royce, BMWs, Bughattis, Porsche, Lambourghinis) as well as family cars(citroens, Renaults Peugeots, VWs, skodas,Audis, Alfas, etc) and small cars like Minis and Fiats.

The main advantage that European, Japanese and Korean cars have over the Americans is not that the workers are paid less, but that the quality control is higher, design is better(because workers are not as pressured to work faster)and fuel economy and safety standards are greater.

  • dangerouslytalented

Absolutely in the U.S today there is a revolving door between major corporations and Gov't. Some do not see a problem with this. But as you said "They have eliminated so many of the laws that prevented them from making decisions that boosted profits short term but did long term damage." The removal of Glass Steagall by Rubin and Summers (well they were the major players) was cheered by corporate bankers at the time. Now they have their hands out saying "We can''t fail".

  • The abolition of Glass Steagall was the tip of the iceberg.

You know all those institutions that fell apart last year and early this year? AIG, Bear Stearns, and the rest of them? They were all regulated by the Office of Thrift Supervision, and why? BECAUSE THEY COULD CHOOSE THEIR OWN REGULATORS! And the OTS was willing to ignore as many regulations as they could so they could get more business.Whereas other regulators went at the regulations with scissors, they took a chainsaw.

  • There is nothing in my comment that says you can be capitalist and socialist at the same time. I was talking about the characteristics of the health reform plan. The socialist aspect would be the fact that it is a government plan that is funded by the community. The capitalist aspect is the competition that would be introduced by the plan for being a viable option for those that need insurance. You can't say that there will be no competition because the government will have no overhead.

  • What competition will the government have? They have no overhead. This kind of leads back to the car industry argument. The chinese are able to pay way less, work more, and make more money per car.

  • How do they not have overhead? They have to operate like any other business don't they? There will be expenses just like with any other business so how can they not have overhead? It is not that they don't have any overhead, it is that it will be less than what the private insurance companies have because of the high salaries, bonuses, inflated costs because of no competition, and the return to shareholders that drive profits. It will force competition for the customer and not just their money.

  • How does the gov. generate money? They don't they bring in taxes. No overheaed

  • What exactly do you mean by overhead? Are you saying they have no expenses because the money is free?

  • Bingo. Winner winner chicken dinner

  • If any of you liberals have a real reason for why this health care plan will work I would love to hear your argument. Thus far all I hear is the same rhetoric your leaders are spewing. We have facts and all you have is attacking moot points and confusion. Government liberals want nothing but to control the masses. I do not agree with the Republicans before you try and go there. I beliive in the constitution of the United States. It is the one thing that separates the US from the rest of th

  • Well here's a fact: France has a completely state-run health-care system, and is at the top of the WHO list. America is 37th. So at the very least you should conclude that state-run health-care is not INHERENTLY a bad thing. Or do you want to reject the WHO list? If so, would you put France below America? Or about the same? Can you answer that question with something close to either a 'yes' or a 'no'?

  • The UK does not have a written constitution. It has got along just fine for centuries without one. It had a fully-functioning democracy long before America, and has a long-established tradition of free and open debate.

  • The UK is a constitutional monarchy! You don't have a constitution? The WHO is biased toward state run health care. It takes little consideration toward actual health care and much consideration in state run health care systems. How many people go to the UK for health care, yet you score much higher than the US. In terms of the top 16 most dangerous cancers, who scores higher? Not you. We do.

  • You did not read my post properly. I never said the UK didn't have a constitution. I said the UK doesn't have a WRITTEN constitution. It has nothing equivalent to the US Constitution.

  • So you have a verbal constitution?

  • No, we have a 'de facto' constitution. No single document is officially recognised as the constitution. There is no single entity recognised in law to be 'the constitution' of the United Kingdom.

  • To quote the Wikipedia entry (generally I avoid quoting Wikipedia, except for my own contributions, but what the hell): 'The UK Constitution has no fundamental written source, and is ever changing. It relies much on unwritten convention.'

  • 'Government liberals want nothing but to control the masses.'

Just think about what you're saying. You honestly believe that when Obama wakes up in the morning his first thought is 'OK, how can I control and manipulate the American people today?'. Do you really believe that's his reason for being in politics? Have you even remotely entertained the idea that he might be doing what he does because - agree or disagree - he genuinely believes he can help people?

  • I don't believe it's as simple as that. I believe that when Obama wakes up he thinks "the American people don't know whats best for them. but I do. I'm going to do everything in my power to show them I'm right."

  • Well done. You've just described the mind set of just about EVERY politician in history.

  • as for life expectancy I went with wiki and the gap between the US and #1 was 6 yrs in comparison with last place being almost 50 yrs. The 05-10 places at 31th with only a difference of 5 yrs difference.

  • Which country was No.1?

  • Yeah go ahead. How biased is that report. 1/4 of it actually has to do with health and the rest is nothing but social agenda

  • Eh?

  • People embrace hope and change. Obama has promised higher taxes and socialism. Your Joe Biden knows that you want to be more patriotic and pay more tax for Obama's Health Scare Tax Scam/

  • I wonder if either of them have a degree in healthcare or economics.

  • "My problem lies with the 100's of thousands of people that ARE able to support themselves, but choose to leech off of the system."

This is the kind of statement I have a problem with. It's pure conjecture and has no substance. Who are these people and how are they leeching off the system?

  • the generations of families that live off state aid with no intention of stopping. People filing for disability that still work under the table. there is to little research into the people that are able and too much into the ones that are not.

  • Go health care! Finally! This is what UPS was to mail!

  • BTW, It will only harm the GOP if they go against what their voters want.

  • the GOP is making a mistake by not compromising. The Dems will run this thru without any concession's.

While the Dems are a bunch of pussies, they are still much smarter then the Repubs.

  • Don't be so sure. There are a number of Dems that will listen to the people who voted them into office.

They are getting a lot of heat.

  • you mean they'll be doing their jobs by listening to the people? Being a public servant means working for the people and listening to the people that voted them in. That is absolutely crazy!

  • If he loses, we lose.

  • It's not enough just beating this plan, but sharing with our friends why it is not American to take from one group and give to another by force.

The government is obsolete in this matter.

  • Obama's popularity is dropping faster than the price of VCR's at garage sales. He'll definately be a 1-termer president. Most people are already sick of his empty promises and backwards policies.

  • The new Republican party:

"We're racists and proud of it"!

  • Easy out, race, what a retard.

  • Just pass the bill as is and fuck the blue dogs and fuck the republicans who won't support the bill no matter what. I'm sick of all of the bullshit kicked up by Fox news and concervative radio and im sick of the spineless blue dogs. I am sick of the dickhead dumbasses who belive all the republican lies. How stupid are these people anywhy? Just pass the fucking bill!!!

  • how can they do that if the the 52 Blue Dogs and all of the Republicans vote "no".?..if this happens, the bill will die in the House. also, i think the guy in this video is completely wrong about one thing. If they compromise, Repubs are going to vote for the bill so I I don't think what Howard Dean says is completely true. If they get ideas from the Repubs, I think it would be a better bill than what we have now. the Repubs aren't going to vote for it unless they feel included in the process

  • The Repubs have already said they will not vote for it no matter what. Time to move on and not include them.

  • There are plenty of parties that Progressive could join- The Greens, Peace and Freedom to name 2. But every damn election cycle, idiots try to funnel everyone back into the herd under the pretext of "pragmatism." How "pragmatic" has it been to give our votes to bought-off Dems who claim that the only reason we don't live in a Liberal utopias is that we haven't voted enough of them in, then, when we do, come up with other reasons that they can't deliver?

  • There are lots of great third parties we can unite behind who are not interested in making friends with insurance companies or GOP loyalists. I have been voting 3rd parties since NAFTA for the same reason - I felt I gave my vote too cheaply, and I won't waste it again.

  • Death Panels don't exist but as Goebbels said. If you tell a lie long enough it becomes true. A nazi quote for the neo-con/nazi party disgusting.

  • O will keep saying this. The real "Death Panels" are the Private Health care providers.

If they "believe" your treatment, drug or surgery is too expensive determined by their bean counters, they refuse to pay. That's a death panel.

  • this guy is boring, bring back cenk please!

  • Unlike private insurance, under Obamacare, petty things like Rogaine and breast implants will not be covered.

Personally, I think any insurance plan that will pay for strictly cosmetic procedures are a ripoff. If you want a facelift or if you want grapefruit breasts, you should pay for it yourself.

  • no insurance plan covers plastic surgery. no private health insurance covers it. even bleaching your teeth is not covered.

  • It is a fact that the media is marginalizing the information of who is protesting, I looked at C-SPAN in the mouring on Monday, 90% of the people who called in told it how it was they, that is the callers mentioned how the insurance companies have stricktest guildlines concerning receiving coverage when you need it, they mention the intereference by Isurance companies in lobbying, also the relationship of corporations and our gov, so people are aware, just the outrage is being "handed" by media

  • the democrats need a scape goat for when this plan fails. that why they need them, otherwise it would have been pushed through already.

  • The whole Healthcare debate sometimes makes me second guess America's intelligence. It really does...Maybe I should go live out of country...

  • They haven't clearly defined what they mean? That's their style. Yeah they got the message down to win their elections. That's about it.

A politician is a politician. They just have different flavors.

  • The public option IS the compromise. Many of us with prefer a single payer system. But it's obvious that this is not possible in the current political reality.

  • I think that there's too much of a fear of the Republicans. They're not even relevant, yet the Democratic party were happy to ask them for compromises. WHY? The Democrats have a majority, why do they even NEED the Republicans?

This is awful. It suggests to me one of two options. Either Obama or those who he works with don't know how to fight the battle, or they weren't interested in fighting the battle in the first place but are pretending for some reason.

    Both options scare me.

  • No bill at all...

Would be better than one w/out the Public Option.

  • SINGLE PAYOR. No COMPRISE ON THE PUBLIC OPTION. IT IS A MUST!!!!!

  • Actually, those are two different plans.

    Both are good.

  • Another thing I find funny is that you have Rush Limbaugh going on the radio and he makes his comment about how the Democrats called republicans Nazis first. Then what does he do, compares the logo to Nazi Germany. This is the type of people we deal with, people who act as children saying "well, they did it first". What do people teahc their children? Two wrongs don't make a right. I guess Rush's mother never taught him decency. But then again, he's a well-known addict......

  • so you never seen a video of cenk going off about things obama is not doing?

  • Was that directed to me?

  • People complain about the government so much on the right. They forget that the police are government funded. They forget that the firefighters are publicly funded. I wonder if they send their children to school because schools, well most, are publicly funded as well. I think that virtually any argument blaming the government for taking control of their lives is incorrect.

  • The funny thing is, the hard core conservatives usually initially oppose a lot of what they all take for granted today.

  • Dems with balls? What's next?

  • your name disowns its worth, "jewswrecknation" fuck off.

  • This guy is an idiot GOP can't do shit , its other dems. holding them back.

  • Listen up new guy...I'm not paying Cenk to take breaks or vacations....matter fact I'm not payin him at all...so tell him to get his liberal ass back here lol. glad to see everyone else is still here, and did I see JR in a video earlier? that's a first, atleast for me.

  • seems like the president is trying not lose. When you do that your in trouble.Try to win sir!

  • where did Cenk go?

  • Wow i Hope the healthcare is better than your schools. You do know hitler was right wing not left wing right. INazis started of as a left wing party then Hitler took over the party and killed all the socialist leaders in the night of long knifes and then essentialy turned it right wing.

  • Health care is our rights not because we have a job or not to buy health insurance. Government must provide trainings like military. We are an army who needs training for this war of health care. Profits and entertainments are not our wars, health is our war which needs technology, resource, and morality in training. Yesterday governments created monopoly in it. If we fail to build public option this time, we will go after government including those in oppositions. We'll ask why you fail us.

  • Obama wants to implement a Kenyan style health care system...

  • slappy1234567.....is just making up lies for the simple sake of making up lies is all your party has left? At least Rush and the biggots at Fox News get paid to lie. You idiots on youtube do it for free.

  • No, really, Obama is going to introduce the same type of health care system that his mom used when she gave birth to him in a hut in Kenya.

  • Now if ya want to get a little more complex. Think about this. If nobody who works has to pay for their own insurance, then they will have more disposable income. Could your business benefit from this? You might have to be expanding in the future..

Now if you say that people are not going to spend the money they save on insurance..then you must agree that WORKING Americans are barely making it and our current system is bankrupting families.

  • then why would anyone work? your making the same mistake that karl marx made when he wrote the manifesto of communism, somplete dissregard for human nature. why would anyone want to work hard if they get the same thing as everyone else? guess whos paying for this bill, 50% from tax increases and 50% from destroying the medicare system. and people who dont work dont pay taxes but at the same time get money from everyone who does work... sounds dumb to me

  • "50% from tax increases and 50% from destroying the medicare system". Please tell me where you got this information from. Unless you're Sarah Palin and you fabricate shit to suit your agenda.

  • i got it from the bill... maybe you should read it

  • HAHAHAHA

By "the bill" were you referring to the one whose last name is of Irish descent and hosts a national TV show? Give me a fucking break.

  • no im referring to the actual pieces of paper that are being debated over.

A bill is a proposed new law (or a proposed amendment to an existing law) introduced for debate within a legislature. ~wikipedia

  • Anryth-- Seriously? Seriously.

So giving everyone cheap health insurance is somehow going to give the down syndrome kid with only one parent who is on crack the same amount of money as people who have regular jobs?

How long have we had welfare? How many people became first time millionaires last year? Your argument just doesn't hold up to reality. Stay off the cool-aid.

(note: the example was just to illustrate how different lives can be...don't be the fool who try to judge who should work.)

  • yes

    aka

    communism

maybe you should read a little more and stop watching abc cnn msnbc and cbs.

like maybe... the communist manifesto? or maybe you should just take an econ class? idk but atm your playing the fool

    aka

    the lemming

  • got any more names to call? lol

seems to be all you've got...I've seen absolutely no facts so far to back your shit up :P

  • i cant even remember who you are or what i originally said to make you respond to this, but i have a feeling i said something logical and you disagreed with me. id really not like to get into an argument with someone still in high school. unless you majored in some bullshit subject like english... then i hate you because ill probably be having to carry your sorry ass through life by paying higher taxes.

  • again, you have no facts, no argument, nothing to have a conversation about...

    just assumptions and name-calling....nice

  • first of all... who are you?

second of all... what are your facts?

all i know so far is i had the comment button light up and some guy hypocritically saying im calling him names and have no facts.

if your looking for an informative debate dont expect to find it on youtube. although that is probably your number one source of information unfortunetly...
