i started out the same way you did and i am here for the same reasons you are but honestly i wouldn't mind it if i could reach more people in the proccess I don't care about the money part of it but honestly i would like the ability to customize and change my page the way i see fit and it honestly should be that way from the start but since it's not i'd like to get enough of an audience to get you tube's attention to let me do what i'd like to with my channel. that's my ONLY goal at the moment
@daddytech I've reach more people without anything that partnership offers or getting featured. I have lots of great friends. I have a few that they're partnered and getting some decent exposure that I could easily ask them to throw me a bone so I can get a lil bit of that exposure. But I don't because I'm happy with the way things are now.
@daddytech As for customization of my channel,its not worth me complaining about because I understand that a partner should have some extra options because they've earned it. But don't get me wrong,I would like to have some of the other options,but I really just don't care enough for them. And if that's really your goal than good luck on achieving your goals.
@Myfkduplilworld well i know one thing that comes with partnership people take you more serious and are a little quicker to respond to messages and such for things like colabs and that's one of the main things i am looking at for later its more of a dream to work with others than anything
@daddytech Well people would have to take you seriously not partnered in order to become partnered. The content that you make should be evidence of how people should interpret you,not banners,ads, and a couple of customizable tools. Your type of content is also a glimpse of if anybody wants to collab.
I so much agree with you. I came on youtube just to watch videos. but i like to give my feedback to those I watch their videos. If their content is good I like it. Nobody controls my mouse or me to click like. I think it's pretty clear that this Andrew guy maybe slighty frustrated with himself. His content seems like he wants youtube fame,which is fine,but why be a hypocrite about it.The other way I look at it is controversy + discussion= money
Haha well man I wish people would get bored of the same thing but people are entertained watching Justin Beiber get hit in the head by a water bottle 300 times... So that might not happen lol but yah I will never get why people get so pissed at someone doing their job on youtube it is a job for fuck sake if they ask for a like and it makes a difference towards them getting fed or not then who are we to hate on them for doing so :/ grrr

They will eventually obviously but it does not seem like too many people are getting bored of the same thing.

I said in my video on this that google should still promote smaller youtuber they would make more money.. but youtube is playing it safe entertaining the noobs.
There is no way YouTube is dying, if anything it's growing, I can see why people would think it would be but it's just YouTube having to change for having more users, and seeing as most of the people that go YouTube just watch music video it makes sence for YouTube to feature the videos they do
@misstaramcmahon Well YouTube itself its not dying but the You Tube Community some feel that is dying.But in fact its still and growing. I mean one day their could be an end to You Tube ,just anytime soon.

I still decide what I watch or what kind of people I find interesting.....to have a choice is not always a bad idea and if you are talented and you are paid what is wrong with that ???? Not me but.... we are all not the same :) if my videos help a person = work completed.....
I just want to say this: If the Open Letter video had not been made, I would not have found you. And I would have missed out on an important and interesting piece of YouTube.
It is the little pieces of YouTube, the videos of people seeing snow for the first time or stressing out over exams or succeeding at something, that make YouTube interesting. The big channels just make it entertaining.
It is that interesting part that is dying because it is so hard to find now.
Agreed. This is conversation that comes up quite often, but I don't know if I ever see anything really change, negative or positive. Sometimes it just depends on the emotional state that YouTubers are in at the time and that's what triggers it.
