It might have been a more fair match if Murray had had the rest Roger had. Murray had just played two days against Nadal then had to take Federer the following day. Roger had a huge break inbetween his games. Im sure Murray would have given him a better game if that had not happened. Blame the organisersa and media. They cant expect the top guys to play at this level all the time with no rest days. Hope they get that sorted out for 2009

i really wish that federer recover the number 1 position but you have to admit that it will be freaking hard, he won't win the French open unless nadal dont play, he is good but not dominant in hard courts like nadal is on clay, and in wimbledon, nadal proved that he can also play in other surface than clay, face its a very hard task.

From what Roger has said recently the number 1 position is not his top priority, he wants Wimbledon back first then break Pete's grand slam record. Thats more important to him now. At his stage in his career masters dont do anything for him, he will be out for the grand slams thats what counts. I wouldnt be surprised if we saw a few Roger for 2009, I hope he does it I really do. I also love the up and coming players like Murray,Tsonga,simon etc all good for the game.

I don't know if you've been watching Fed play, but some of his early round wins were not easy ones for him. He was pushed to play 5 & 4 setters. You can call it him not being as great as he used to be(which, honestly, you can't expect him to be 100%) or the other players just got better. Either way, Fed won. Yes, hooray for Rafa finally getting his #1. He's worked very hard for it.
