That guy in gold is badass. He beat up a 98Lb woman. Ok maybe hes a punk. HA! It good he died. I wouldnt want him bragging to his friends about how he beat up a small asian woman.
Cater wongs best film has to be Born Ivincible in my eyes, the fights in that are awesome. This was a good film though, always the way in kung fu flicks, the prettiest girl fighters always have to die.
Born Invincible was pretty good but "The 18 Bronzemen" was a cult classic. That training sequence and having to fight his way through 18 stages was just awesome. Carter Wong played some awesome roles over his career and he is among my favorite Kung Fu heros. I liked him also in "Big Trouble Little China".
Yeah, 18 Bronzemen is a classic, but I do prefer "Born Invincible," maybe more because, Carter plays (as so many other kung fu stars did at that time), the classic "White haired, Tai Chi kung fu master," I really love those type of characters, and they are nearly always villains, and total, martial arts badasses. And he is good in Big trouble too, although doesnt do no-where near the type of things he'd done before in other ficks.
What happened to those two guys who were helping the girls? It seemed like one of them died, but it was hard to tell. The other one....he just disappeared entirely.

Why did the cute one have to die? Oh well, you can't say she didn't give him a splitting headache before she went.
JackalHound45 4 years ago
Yep. Truly a tragedy of epic proportions. The way it ended with Carter Wong and the TaekwonDo dude felt rather incomplete.
