For anyone who is looking for a biblical explanation of the gospel and salvation, I would highly recommend checking out the scribd website that is listed on my channel. The scripture references given on there make it very clear and easy to understand.
This was my mothers favorite hymn. i miss her every day and its songs like these that make me feel she is near me again. While i dont know if i believe in god i believe in her and thats enough for me.
@cherryl1111 I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'm glad this song brought your mother close. I love the old hymns because I was raised on them. I pray that one day your mother's hope will be yours as well.
Philippians 3:9b-10a; "not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ - the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings" Jeremiah 9:24; " let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth,"
thanks for theis song, im not super fond of the singer, i like groups, but the song is still sweet, i sang it today at my adventist church, i hope you all are blessed by it like i was
It's me, again. Today (May 16), I filled in at a local Presbyterian Church. We sang this as the closing Hymn of Dedication. However, it was to the tune, THE SOLID ROCK, composed by William B. Bradbury, 1816-1868. This tune is also #596 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship, next to this tune (MELITA, #597).
@beanscot The presiding minister's sermon today was taken from Exodus 3: 1-6, which is Moses' encounter with God from the burning bush. His sermon was entitled Where Are You Standing?
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Tonight (March 14), I attended a Lent service at a local Lutheran Church. We sang this for the Closing Hymn. The pastor's Gospel and sermon was from Mark 7: 24-30, which is where a Gentile woman approached Jesus and asked him to heal her demon possesed daughter. It is #597 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship.
when i was in Bible school, we sometimes jokingly sang this song "my hope is built on nothing less thae schofield's notes and moody press...!" thank God, though, that my life and salvation are built upon the Rock Christ Jesus! Praise His blessed Name!
Oh, how raging is that flood all around us, what a time to be living in, praise God that He may use us to reach those who are struggling with lifes issues, those who are being persecuted for righteousness sake and those who are perishing without the Saviour, Jesus Christ. Praise Him, praise Him. Amen. Thanks for sharing this ever true message of a sure hope we have in our wonderful God and Saviour, Christ our Lord.
Thank you for your thoughtful videos. Can you tell me how I can download them without infringing your copyright so that I can share them with my small youth group in our town three hours west of Newcastle, Australia? Thanks
is it possible to get a file or download from you? Is it possible to download from Youtube? I tried to email you from your user page and the email keeps getting locked up. Thanks for any assistance I usually just watch the videos never attempted to use one. Thanks
Dear Beanscot, I feel your recording of "My hope is built on nothingless" is so inspirational that it will bless my congregation. How can go about getting a download copy to play to my congregation on Sunday worship, without infringing your copyright?
