  • Down to the wire!

  • aside from speed, what is the difference between HF and CE?

  • don't try explaining things to scrubs, they're scrubs for a reason

  • what a bad sagat

  • The guy playing Balrog/Vega was being cheap as fuck doing that jumping off the wall + throw over and over. Little kids in arcades do crap like that.

  • @t1ngley No such thing as being cheap in high level tournaments. Not to mention, Sagat is a high tier, and Vega is bottom tier.

  • @SyaoLin213

Not really, HF is very balanced, there is no bottom tier.

BUT there is three very strong characters : Ryu, Sagat, and Zangief.

Appart from them, everybody is balanced.

  • @Xecutionner2K I don't know, Vega(Claw) and Balrog(Boxer) were both pretty bad, neither of them had a really good reversal and could be tick thrown to death.

  • @ayyyoooo29

    Hi !

Ask any old school veteran, he will tell you Hyper is one of the most balanced game ever.

Dictator has been toned down from Champion Edition, but is still very very good.

Boxer sucks, yeah i think its the only one.

Claw is good for his crouching MK / MP and Flying Barcelona Cross-up which is very hard to do, but harder to counter.

I don't see a bad character except Boxer in this street.

  • @Xecutionner2K

Sorry I didn't mean to come off that it was terribly unbalanced. I agree, it is the most balanced fighting game that I've ever played at least.

It is the most balanced, but I just meant saying there is no bottom tier is pretty false, there were some characters like boxer who were obviously worse than others, but that doesn't make them bad in any sense.

  • @ayyyoooo29

Also, call me a dick if you want, but Marvel vs Capcom 3 is one of the most balanced game ever made. I can't even believe what i'm seeing.

Almost HALF the characters can win tournaments. half of 38 is 19 which is a lot.

  • @Xecutionner2K 19 of 38 characters can win and you call that balanced? Every character in Virtua Fighter 5 can win... there's maybe 2 of the 17 that will have trouble.

  • @Apotheosis275

Yeah, especially VF 5 FS where Wolf has 100 % combo okizeme...

I tell you this because mvc 3 tournament are quite diverse, although you see some teams quite often, capcom patched the only S character there was, so now everybody is nicely balanced.

  • @Xecutionner2K What about Honda? i think he is very bad. everytime ken/ryu sends a fireball and i jump into the them i always get sweep. Can that be avoided?

  • @MrMuscleguru

Honda vs Fireball characters is awful for Honda :)

But you can avoid them with Jump. Forward Fierce Punch (in Super Street and onward), jump over them, or charge down, up + kick.

    Patience is the key

But it won't be an easy fight, its one of the most difficult match-up for the sumo.

  • I am better than both these players.

I fucked there jap moms peehole too.

  • Claw ended up being better in ST, unfortunately for anyone who liked him in HF.

  • I consider myself a pretty good Vega player in HF, but truth is, it's difficult to win vs good players. Vega has a lot of difficulty dealing with overhead attacks, especially after knock downs, and of course he has very little variety to really punish them fast. You have to basically use a combination of the slide, pecking with the claw and constant throw tactics. The only character I feel real comfortable playing against is Balrog, and Dhalsim sometimes.

  • Ya...Vega is weak at ground but is the strongest in the air...i think the best tactic is frequently jump above the two corners and fly over the head of opponent

  • 1:10 Claw lose the fight, its hard to believe watching his amazing first round

    Nice vid

  • good claw , messed up sometimes but still very solid play

  • Tchuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! lol

  • lol vega sounds funny when he does of the wall in hyper fighting

  • you gotta tiger uppercut those!!!

  • Vega is low tier in this game, and in SF4.

  • I don't think he's low tier in HF. And I'm pretty sure he's high tier in ST.

  • Tiers are for queers.

  • It's nice you don't think that. But he is low tier in HF. Just slowing down his movement speed from CE hurt him

  • Really? He's low tier just because he's a tad slower and doesn't have a flipkick and the sky high claw? He still has his fast walldive trap. But now that I think about it, he doesn't have all those nice pokes like in ST...

His slide still seems pretty good though

    maa...

  • Play against someone good at HF with him and then get back to me. He has some pretty difficult matchups. Besides a relatively low damage output, the problem is that your opponent can simply guess right once with a reversal, knock you down, and Vega is suddenly in trouble. The trick is to keep them guessing wrong. But it takes many openings to win for Vega, which means more opportunities to guess for your opp. He's still very fun to use, just low tier (which isn't a HUGE deal in HF).

  • HF was my favourite game, I actually like it more than ST... But where did you get all that tier list from? I can't seem to find any.

  • I remember when Hyper Fighting was the new edition. Was it really an official release? Arcade machines were thought to have a bug at that time no?

  • Comment removed

  • I don't understand why the Vega player didn't throw Sagat when he was stunned in the second round. Would have been the better choice IMO and would have probably won the game.

  • My guess is he tried a fierce roll attack, but didn't have enough charge.

  • Did Sagat forget how to uppercut?

  • i think he did lol

  • @rootsmannick actually his uppercut is strong but has a lot of vulnerability. You can stop it easily by hitting the head area, something that a pro vega user knows to take advantage of like this player (just look at :50 and you'll notice a perfect tiger uppercut stopped by vega's jump kick). That's why instead of just throwing them haphazardly, the sagat player instead chose to play it safe and not give the free damage. Apparently it worked out for him.

  • Vega is such a beast.

  • thats weird in USA/Canada we call balrog vega

  • They had to rotate the names "M.Bison", "Balrog", and "Vega". The original M.Bison was the boxer we know as Balrog, but he was deemed to similar to Mike Tyson, so they had to change his name. Capcom also felt Vega was a weakling name, so they gave that to Balrog(who we know as Vega) and gave M.Bison to Vega.

  • is this Tsuji playing Sagat? oO

  • A patient Sagat always prevails in HF.

  • Very true,especially with ryu/ken matches

  • love that scream Vega does when he bounces around and catches them in that suplex.

  • my two favorite characters dukin' it out.
