Love their voices on this!!! Makes me miss Kevin though... i know he didnt always have solos until later, but his voice still completed their sound. Growing up Nick was my favourite, but i love them all now for separate reasons! :) Nicks adorable! but they all are! Kevin too!

It might matter to you. You're probably a fan? I don't care for them. The point is that its easy for groups to re-hash old classics and raise thier profile.Its just karaoke. The groups you mentioned, as far as I'm aware didn't cover songs and so present a new song for judging. I dislike Westlife and Boyzone cos all they do is find a song thats been a hit years ago and reproduce it almost identically for a new generation of consumers who are unaware of the original. It takes music nowhere.

Do you really think everyone is now going to remember them for this single performance? When People think of them, they are going to remember songs like 'I want it that way' and 'Backstreet's Back'. This song was sung as a tribute to Brian Wilson. Of course they wouldn't have written one of the Beach Boys songs for them. That comment there is ridiculous. Another thing, there are many vocal groups/harmonizers who don't play their own instruments. It's just another style of performing. I think your remarks were a little ignorant. They performed it once and aren't attempting to cash in on it, seeing as they have NOT recorded it or sold it. They have many of their own songs...some of which were written by them, and have sold upwords of 80 million albums. They have sold more than enough of their own albums, and already have enough money.

Singing is what Backstreet Does best and they are great at it. I am not a Backstreet fan, but as a HUGE Beach Boys fan, these guys did an awesome song justice. The harmonies were right on and they did it proper by dedicating it to Brian Wilson. And let's face it, The Beach Boys were the role model and template most of the modern boy bands.

I have this on DVD, although i didn't like the guy singing the first lead(Nick?). I have to say as a musician and the biggest Brian Wilson/Beach Boys fan in the world their harmonies are tighter than a crabs arsehole. Effortless and spellbinding is the word for the guy singing the falsetto lines.
