@flyingtomato1000 I've explained it in some of my other videos... It's the result of an Action Replay code (what I called "live ghost"), but the only thing the code does is make your current run match your ghost (which is your previous best time). So there are really 2 identical runs going, which is why it says +0:00:000. This allowed me to record my run later as if I were doing it live, rather than record the terrible in game "replay" view. The original run was done fairly without any codes.

I did sometimes, just never on a WR run, so there's no vid of me doing one :P I was trying it out near the end of my karting days and thought it was a little faster for flap or the 3rd lap, but I was more comfortable with a lmt. So if I had a good run going, I didn't want to mess it up at the end trying a rmt I wasn't quite used to. I would've switched eventually had I kept playing.

Only to replay the run like it was done live to make for a better recording (rather than the normal crappy replay view). But I did not use an AR in the actual run. The run is clean, not assisted in any way.

No problem, glad to help.

It's possible to take the 2nd (rail sc) without a mushroom, but it requires a really fast MT. I've done it, but it was sloppy, I had to slow down more beforehand. Some of the top karters (Marshall, G-danzee, etc) can pull it off really well.

Darkenedjib plays mario kart wii now but I haven't seen him on mario kart ds lately. Trish was the incredible worlds best girl kart racer and we know everybody misses her. haha thanks man! And I'm glad I could help. I was just a course specialist on RR, there were/are much better mkds players than myself. TB1 is the best (he goes by TiBiUan on youtube).

And yeah, egg1 has more potential than the dry bomber. I used the db on wifi just bc I couldn't MT very fast, and it's easier to prb with db than the egg1. I stopped playing mkds a long time ago though.

He's up there, but probably more around 4th-5th best in the world. TB1 has the most world records by far w/ 44. Giulio has 2. He owns Delfino Square, he has defended his WRs there for years I think.

haha yeah. I had already stopped playing when the pipe sc was discovered. So I came out of "retirement" to try it, but I wasn't very good at it, especially non-shroom. By that time I was rusty (just look at the end of this vid lol), and I didn't want to play much, so I only tried for the flap. My 3lap WRs had already been beaten too, so I knew others would be able to beat any 3lap times I did.

bls one is faster. Back when I did this run, I just wanted to try it. And since the wr flap wasn't too strong at that time, I knew standard rb could beat it.

Fastest strat imo = bls, do the rail glitch w/o shroom, shroom in the air after the loop so that the shroom ends when you need to turn around, then mt and do the pipe sc.

Get a turbo boost from the start (hold A soon after the 2 stops spinning), then just jump and hold up to "fast fall" (tilts your kart forward in the air and is faster).

No one has even done it twice yet. Feel free to prove me wrong and post a link to one of the vids. I'd love to see it if it ever happens. The current WR is held by TennisGuy (TennisGvy on YouTube) with 1'52"504, and he only does it once in his run. Twice or thrice would pretty much guarantee a new WR.

i discovered another rr shortcut but i only managed it once. I managed to jump off before the three yellow gates and appear on the other side of the u-bend, don't know if it'll be any faster than the pipe trick.

It doesn't save time that's why there isn't a video of it.

If you want to try it then then it is just after the big loop. Just before the yellow gates (or acrhes) you have to use a shroom and jump off to the right, od it right before the first ae to get maximum distance.

At least I think that's how it's done, haven't tried it in a while.
