I think most Zang ethnic minorities (Tibetans) activists, living outside of their motherland, China and a small number inside China, including a small minority of Western sympathisers have realized that they have lost a lot of respect in the International Communities today. The disruptions of the Olympic Torch, The Beijing Games, The riots in Lhasa, Xizang (Tibet) province of China in March 2008, and many other disruptive demonstrations had been condemn by people worldwide. if the chinese government wants to wipe out tibetan language & culture, it wouldn't have let tibetan children in school learn tibetan, which they have never stopped doing... same as all the other ethnic groups in china like mongolian, korean, uygur, & etc.
I guess here in the US, it is optional for people to learn English. Of course, if you don't want to learn English, don't expect to get a good job. In China, they are also teaching Tibetan and English to educate you Tibetan fools to get a decent job, not to segregate yourself out from society.
I am studying Tibetan. It's a pretty difficult language to master. But frankly, sometimes I wonder, is it pointless to learn a language where only 5 million people speak?
When the Dalai Lama says the cultural genocide, he means there are no more human sacrifice offerings to deities, such as juicy human intestines, freshly whole body human hides, human blood potions, human heads, human bones....the culture still with him in India but not in Tibet anymore.
I want Chinese people to FREE Tibet so the people around the world can take some nice vacation in Tibet there near the Himalaya more often freely
