to survive, you have to chase that dollar. It's not about perfection, you're right about that. But in a business as crazy as the music business, it's hard to survive and bands and the label have gotta come up with ideas for promoting, impressing, and becoming more known, because everyone is trying to make enough money to survive! It's not like they have a second job for making money, they have music and only music. So they have to be productive with it and be open to constructive criticism.
