  • By whistling, grover and cookie attracted local forest-life. Including a bear.

  • It used to trouble me that Grover never actually whistles during this number. And then I realized that his lips are rigid, non-malleable, so in reality he cannot whistle. His character supposedly can whistle but in real life he cannot because of his lips. That's why we don't see him whistle. The real tragedy is that RLS--Rigid Lip Syndrome, also known as Grover's Lip--afflicts hundreds of Americans.

  • this was quiet good but i think there are better songs and stuff [kind of funny] :):):):) :D :D :D :P :P :P

  • Grover sings Rodgers & Hammerstein!

  • Wi8g, All muppets are preformed by Frank Oz in this song, This seems impossible because there is probably no way Frank Oz could preform all of those characters at once.

  • @Dekobee Maybe they recorded it separately... could happen, they had records and Grover & Cookie Monster (& Herry & Frazzle) were in Fuzzy & Blue.

  • @Dekobee Wait Dekobee, if Frank performed Grover and Cookie (I can see his head at 1:36) does that mean Jim puppeteered the little boy to Frank's vocals?

  • @muppetlover16 Frank must've pre-recorded all the voices here.

With the Muppets, songs and musical numbers are often pre-recorded (they'll record the voices before filming).

  • @disneyphilip I know, so if Frank pre-recorded all those voices that means Jim Henson puppeteered the little boy, right?

  • Note that all puppets are voiced by Frank Oz! Grover and Cookie Monster and the baby at the end! Strange

  • Wrong: i mean kid and not baby

  • The german version is WAY different to this one! Many songs of sesame street were changed for the german version, but in the german version, they used a very sad and scary melody for this one.

  • I knew Cookie Monster got his name WAY before the game show skit that people said he supposedly got his official name from

  • i luv this song its so cute

  • I sung this song at a festival when I was 8! Used to watch Sesame street too! Didn't know it was on Sesame street!

  • I do not remember this. They must have stopped showing this before all the others. This is from 1970 abd I was born in 1971. Great clip though.

  • this made me laugh really hard!

  • Sure is a creepy looking forest.

  • Are you serious? It was Ernie...?

    Thanx!

  • You're welcome.

  • @LadyLeene - Or it can be Cookie Monster "If the moon was a cookie"

  • Does anyone know where I can find Grover's 'I Would Like to Visit the Moon'?

  • I don't remember that.I think you're thinkig of Ernie's "I Don't Want To Live On The Moon".

  • Was this also the real Cookie Monster debut?

  • wooww... never thought that seasame street would refrence the King and I...

  • I think that this is the only time where grover co stars with cookie monster.

  • they were in "fuzzy and blue"

  • True!

  • And in "Monsterpiece Theater - The 39 Stairs".

  • A great little tune with a great blue furry Monster.
