  • Thank you! I'm using this every day to prepare for recitals next month!

  • I would thank you a thousand times. :) Seriously.

However, I, apparantly have a different version of the song which is quite weird, but it's like that... But this one is still handy for the parts that are the same and the big lines and curves of the alto melody.

Yeah, as said before: you're a life saver!!!!

  • merci beaucoup , super time " saviour " ;)

  • This is a great resource. Thank you!!

  • Thanks Karen, for sending this!

  • Very useful indeed, many thanks! But I can't find a way to "play" the video any moment I want: it automatically starts back at the beginning; not very practical to rehearse... Is there a trick?

  • @PatataLola No trick! Unfortunately i don't know why the video won't let you do that, and it does that same to me so i guess it's the same for everyone... Sorry!

  • I appreciate your effort and thank you on behalf of amatuer singers. It make it easier to learn the song. How about bass? cosmos.

  • I hadn't listened to your learning tracks until today and now I have an even greater respect for what you have accomplished. Keep it up!

  • Thanks a lot...

you have the learning track for the bass??

    I apreciate very much this!

  • THANK YOU................So glad to have found this..........it has been really helpful.......I was struggling with a couple of the passages in this piece. You've been a great help for my french pronounciation too.....;o) xXx

  • Great stuff!

Could you do the alto parts for Eric Whitacre's Five Hebrew Love Songs as well as Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine? That would be AMAZING! :)

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I'm a person who learns by ear, so things like this REALLY help me!!!! Very beautiful voice you have there too:)

  • Thanks! I have to perform this at my school tonight, this helped me a lot!

  • This is a total help! I'm a soprano, actually, so it's good that I can hear the other girl part and sing mine at the same time. :D Yayyy.

  • Oh my, this was absolutely wonderful! I was struggling with some notes and pronunciation myself, and this was very, VERY helpful!

    THANK YOU!

  • this is awesome!!! and also very helpfully!!

  • Thank you very much, this ist very helpfull.

  • Thank you very much for this post. It really helps me to get the details right!

    Wonderful :)

  • That's probably the best falsetto I've heard. I'm pretty sure you're better than most of the altos in my high school choir, when we did this song. It's nice to hear it pronounced right, too, because we have so many people who take Spanish at my school that they had a difficult time with the French pronunciation. Those of us who have been learning French for a while had to try and lead the class, and they still didn't get it right. It was frustrating.

  • Sounds like head voice to me. Not falsetto at all. Full adducted vocal cords. Beautiful none the less!

    chris

  • nah chris it was mainly falsetto actually... the very last part is completely in head voice. and few notes here and there, mainly because i rarely have a D flat in falsetto it's just too low for me !

  • Ok. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference of a well developed falsetto compared to head voice.

    c.

  • i have to say ur a lifesaver! we had to have this memorized quickly and i listened to this version over and over to memorize it and believe me it worked! thanks SO much!

    Cheers

  • I'm glad I could help ! Sorry you had to listen to it over and over though :)

  • Brilliant. I am trying to learn the bass part for this beautiful song. Any cance you could post that part to Youtube? i'd really be grateful.

  • i don't suppose you could do one with the lyrics for soprano's???

i would love to learn this piece.

    xxx

  • You actually have a very nice alto voice. Have you ever sang counter-tenor?

Thank you for this tutorial. This is great for altos and non-French speakers/singers.

  • I will next week end. WIsh me luck :/

  • You will do a great job! Good luck!

  • how is it you sound like an actual alto?

  • Hmmmm you mean I do sound like an alto ? That's nice of you to say that :)

Well i used mainly falsetto, so maybe that's why. In the very end it's only head voice though because being a tenor (ish) Dflats and Cs are quite low for my falsetto.

  • THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!! amazinggggg

  • did you use it to learn the notes or something ? thanks :)

  • Wow i was wondering do you mind sending me or posting the tenor part for me? that would be great if you could!

    :]

  • I will try to do that this week end ;)

  • Ok bit late but I just posted it, you can find it in response to this video, or in my channel page :)

  • :-)

  • Thank You :]

  • You welcome, hope it helped !

  • Wow that was amazing dude. I didnt know you could sing like that. Ive listened like 5 times already, and it gets better every time.

  • thanks !! it's the alto voice of the complete cantique i posted earlier, the voice was there somewhere with the 4 other voices

I'm surprised you liked it on its own, maybe i should sing in falsetto more (and better, I insist) :p

  • i think you have a nice alto voice.. was very kind of you to do this for that person.

  • thanks JD :)
