Yes, but don't forget the era and Iommi is tuned way low for those days, Jazz drummers still bored everyone in pubs at the time and a more modern "ptang- crack" just wasn't in the picture, but the groove (to me) is sweet. Anyway, talkin' all Jazz; I reckon Ward swings like a mutha and has a spirit of inventiveness that inspires hence me gobbi'n off.

@jogmas12 it was very common in the age of rock and roll for the singer to stand either far left or far right in contrast to the guitarist. They most likely stood in that position because blues and rock is usually composed with a guitar "call" and a vocal "response". Perhaps it makes the mix fuller and gives more stereo width. Anyway, If you listen to an old Jimi Hendrix or Beatles song, a lot of the times the vocals are panned heavily to one side.

@BrianArmando100 UUMM.. It's all mic'ed up. Mix is done @ the board. Drums are probably too loud on stage and Ozzy can't hear himself in the vocal monitors.  This is not recorded in stereo, all played & recorded in mono. My band plays on stage in the same fashion, vocal usually off to the side of my drums, remember nobody was using in-ear monitors back then. They are just using stage monitors, mics on the drums & guitar cabinets. It gets hellish loud on stage, ever been there?
