@jimmy59ca2001 Jimmy for slap start out with this DVD.. ( Slap Bass The Ungentle Art by Mark Ruben + Kevin Smith) It is the best DVD that I have seen to get you going as far a slapping goes. As far as how to play the notes and what you have to do to play the notes in a chord structure go take some lessons from a local music teacher. Jimmy the Upright is a great instrument.. Youve been getting alot of dumbass comments so i figured id leave something that isnt just hate spam.

I like the rhythm in it. You definately can rock out on a bass. And youve got a cool bass to do it on. I dont know if all that clacking noise was intentional or not. But it ruined it for me. Since due to what you recorded it on it drowned out the low tones. It probably sounds ALOT better live. And i wish i could hear it that way. Overall nice playing.

Thank you for being for the most part unbiased. This particular instrument is meant to be electrified only. Its elementary that in order to avoid feedback, an instrument must have as much of its acoustical value cancelled out so that the two frequencies (instrument and amp) dont collide. I didnt have it plugged in when I made this video. But when I have it hooked up to my ampeg SVT I assure you, you cant miss the tones.

see im in a ska band and our bassist plays stand up very well

problem is amplifying it right

hes got the pick ups you can plug a quarter inch into but we cant seem to get the right sound out of the amp
