PS3 wasn't made the San Andreas came out.

They have GTA IV and CoD4, Uncharted and heavenly blade and soon Metal gear solid 4 which is the games I can only see myself playing.

GTA IV did that much better because of extreme amounts of hype. People know that GTA is a great game. I'm pretty sure the first GTA did as well as GoW. Besides, GTA IV is multiconsole.
