I am a car person, I have a modded srt-4 which beats the crap out of a lot of other cars for speed and the gas mileage it gets. On price, used corvettes are not bad. My neon might be worth $10,000 to the right person because of all the mods (bolt ons and some computer) and a vet with the same miles stock would be about $13,000 C6 (one year newer then mine, I have an 04 neon) off ebay or kbb price. I will not race with the vet but I do with the neon. The neon always has something to prove ;)
Pretty sure mine would do a good bit better too. But I'm really here to say, mad respect to the poster of this video. Even though you won, you still are man enough to give props to the other car, and a 4 cyl turbo at that. Most of the videos I see like this are people bashin or talkin neck. Whether they won or not. You sir, are a real racer and a real car guy, and it shows.

I give respect where it's do, no matter what the car is. I was learning my Vette at the time this was taken, and have become a better driver in all of this, as my newer vids show. friend of mine has a stage 3 srt4 with just about everything he can put in it, he out run's every car he goes against on straightaways but gets screwed in the corners because he hasn't put on the $3,000 brake package yet. He races at watkins.
I know the guy who has that SRT, he sold it, but it dynoed around 340 to the wheels. Its definately a quick car and hes a good driver. Nice vette by the way. I have a 400 whp 50 Trim SRT, but im just too afraid to race it, by time you buy slicks, traction bars, and your ready to race, warming up the slicks, you burn out your clutch. lol.
Don't know where you are but if you live near indy go to ORP some time during the summer. My Uncle has a 2003 SRT-4 stage 3 w/toys. Does 11.9 quarter miles on slicks

His car had a Stage 3 setup, and with a good driver, they can run some nasty times. There are a few SRT-4's out there that embarrass a lot of bigger displacement cars, lol.
I have wanted a vette forever. That 6 speed auto in the 08 C6 is no joke and upgraded that year. I have seen one run 11.0s with similar mods and a cam. N/A, they can hit 10s without a problem. FI on the 08+ vettes has them running 10s all day and mid/high 130s trapspeeds on pump gas at 10 psi or less. I can hardly wait to get my hands on one.
I have been to ECS' shop in NJ, they have a great operation running there. Those vids were cars that they worked on.

I had an '05 stage 3 car that ran 11.8 @ 118 with 26 inch slicks and race gas. It was a fun car but i got tired of traction issues so I sold it and bought an EVO.

I used to briefly know this dude that had a 417fwhp srt4, for some reason he spent a ton of money on a killer big brake kit but they didnt allow for smaller rims.
So he rocked the 18" rims w/ street tires at the track every time. lol

I never saw 11's, always mid-low 12's, but it always sounded so so good when the ewg open'd up in second gear.
