Then LSU has to play Florida, UGA, Alabama and those teams are all in the top 10. But I'm sure the BCS won't factor any of that in. USC is going to play some decent PAC 10 teams but the Ducks got beat by a non BCS conference team. An SEC team got thru manhandling ASU. Coming from an SEC hater, the SEC is really competitive and may end up playing in the NC. Go Bucks!!!

I am an Ohio State fan. I am not a fairweather fan, and since both of my parents graduated from Ohio State I have always been a fan of them. Recently, Ohio State has lost 2 BCS Championships and some believe they shouldn't have one the 2002 BCS game. Many people dislike Ohio State Fans because they think they are cocky, or they think they are better than anyone else. I have seen the buckeyes get thrashed many times, but I do not plan on abandoning them. This will be a great game.

The game will should be won in the trenches. The running game for both teams is very important but maybe even more so for OSU.
I think the bye week is a great thing for SC. The guys have a lower chance of injury and they have the extra week to prepare. It's also great for Sanchez because he's going into this game full of confidence after his performance at UVA. The coaches have more time to implement the game plan they want to use.

I'm not making any predictions. The Beanie situation on the other hand seems to be a pretty big deal. It seems like this has nagging injury written all over it. I'd imagine there is no way Beanie won't at least try to get on the field against SC but I can't picture him being 100%. I can just see him cutting on that foot and going down in pain again. Seems like the Staff at OSU have been downplaying the injury since day 1 but haven't come out and publicly stated what the injury actually is.

It's a huge mistake, and a good observation by you. After playing Youngstown State and Ohio, USC is going to look like the New England Patriots. OHio STate will need to win the turnover battle by 3 or 4 just to keep this game competitive. USC's team speed is the big difference here, too many athletes. Sorry Ohio STate, your big win this year will be against Michigan, who lost to Utah at home. I love the Big 10, it's hilarious. Nice games by Illinois and Michigan State also.....
They probably are hurting themselves by not playing tougher teams before USC. However, this should be a good game but if USC beats OSU really bad then oh well. They do play decent teams. And take a look at their ooc schedule in upcoming years. USC again next year, then later down the road they'll play Va Tech, OU, Miami, Tennesse...
Even if OSU beats USC, they'll be better than I thought. But I find it hard considering they don't play many good teams (the only teams that could even give Ohio State a hard time in the Big Ten are Penn State, Wisconsin, and MAYBE Illinois.).

I am surprised no one even brought up the fact that Ohio U played the game with there second string QB after their starting QB went down from a cheap shot in the first quarter with a late hit taking him out of the game.

I am an Ohio State fan. I am not a fairweather fan, and since both of my parents graduated from Ohio State I have always been a fan of them. Recently, Ohio State has lost 2 BCS Championships and some believe they shouldn't have one the 2002 BCS game. Many people dislike Ohio State Fans because they think they are cocky, or they think they are better than anyone else. I have seen the buckeyes get thrashed many times, but I do not plan on abandoning them. This will be a great game.

The game will should be won in the trenches. The running game for both teams is very important but maybe even more so for OSU.
I think the bye week is a great thing for SC. The guys have a lower chance of injury and they have the extra week to prepare. It's also great for Sanchez because he's going into this game full of confidence after his performance at UVA. The coaches have more time to implement the game plan they want to use.

I'm not making any predictions. The Beanie situation on the other hand seems to be a pretty big deal. It seems like this has nagging injury written all over it. I'd imagine there is no way Beanie won't at least try to get on the field against SC but I can't picture him being 100%. I can just see him cutting on that foot and going down in pain again. Seems like the Staff at OSU have been downplaying the injury since day 1 but haven't come out and publicly stated what the injury actually is.

Does anyone feel OSU may be hurting themselves by playing two sub-par teams before matching up with USC? Specifically I'm talking about OSU playing 'slower' defenses, then trying to adjust to USC's defense. All the while USC's offense practices against their own defense and they just beat a D1 ACC team on the road. Any thoughts?

It's a huge mistake, and a good observation by you. After playing Youngstown State and Ohio, USC is going to look like the New England Patriots. OHio STate will need to win the turnover battle by 3 or 4 just to keep this game competitive. USC's team speed is the big difference here, too many athletes. Sorry Ohio STate, your big win this year will be against Michigan, who lost to Utah at home. I love the Big 10, it's hilarious. Nice games by Illinois and Michigan State also.....

Even if OSU beats USC, they'll be better than I thought. But I find it hard considering they don't play many good teams (the only teams that could even give Ohio State a hard time in the Big Ten are Penn State, Wisconsin, and MAYBE Illinois.).
They should try facing decent teams instead of teams like Akron and Youngstown State. I'm not saying they should play against teams like LSU. But maybe against decent teams like Oregon, Auburn, or Texas A&M.

Ohio State will win somewhat comfortably. Tressel won't let his team score much because of ball control with Wells running 35 times.

All I have to say is 4 RETURNING All-Americans on defense will not give up many touchdowns!! PAC-10 isnt exactly the best conference in the world there pal! Half your conference finished under .500 for the season last year compared to only one Big Ten team! Big Ten also sent more teams to bowls last year! PAC-10 has USC but that is all they have really had to be consistent for the last 8 or 9 years!! Cant wait for the game...gonna be a good one!!

LSU was preseason #1 or #2 and were basically playing BCS champ game at home, they were favored by 4+. And for those who don't think I have an argument when I say SEC, some Big 12 and PAC 10 teams have had a huge advantage for decades by playing bowls in home state and or warm weather site close to home think about this. Do you think LSU would have been favored last year if they were playing in cold and snow in Ohio in January? 8 team playoff with home games for top 4 seeds. USC at Wis. LSU@OSU?

No you don't have any respect for the competition and I do get to say that. You started off saying that USC plays in a cream puff conference and imply that all of USC's success over the past 6 seasons is suspect because they lost to Stanford and other competition within the conference. I seriously question your knowledge of the game since you don't seem to realize that a team's toughest competition comes from FAMILIAR inter-conference play and not pre-season games.
