  • that guitar looks like the one used by yngwie malmsteen :bd

  • badass

  • wnhjqdkqwdn amazing shitt !!!!! amazing jajaja i play the violin and the guitar and now i see that it was a waste of time ajajaja

  • u talk like u invented this technique, kinda sad. long live malmsteen

  • @raffefrank you dont really think that malmsteen invented this? hes amazing and all that but he didnt invent this technique

  • Really cool video man. Thanks for this.

  • Would this work just as well if you have a 'treble bleed mod" in your guitar? Would it work better with the mod or worse?

  • are you using any reverb?

  • que gordo cara de japi !!! toca muy bien pero se la re cree ese sapo yanki

  • can u pass me the tabs of all are u play plz!!!

    exelent by the way

  • very nice man! Nice strat! Not many folks sporting the rosewood scalloped neck, very nice tone!

  • is that a yngwie malmsteen signature? Awesome!

  • Won't it be cool to do Pachelbel Canon with this technique?

  • @8m293 Exactly!

  • it's all great but you don't show what exactly do you do with the volume knob...

That was the whole point of the instructional video.

  • 21 people are deaf

  • @Collosnick

Where do u see humbuckers? Those are single coils!!

Second, if that was a Squier, won't the guitar have the name on the headstock in large and the Fender in small text, if even....

But l guess it's ok coz u were excited to write ur comment, gr8 day Nick.. ;)

  • lnteresting how it will sound with a bow...^^

  • Sounds really cool, i like your explanation of using delay, there is an art to using it.

  • @AJfenderbender That fretboard looks scalloped, any chance its the Yngwie Malmsteen signature model with the brass nut and DiMarzio's? Cool vid btw, once I get another delay pedal I'll be able to do this again :P

  • wooaahh!!! fuckin awesome!! I play violin myself :3

  • pendejo sos de nacimiento!!!!!

  • sos pupu pero de buho..

  • sounds like Echo Etude.. what rate is your delay?

  • cool

  • Nice Yngwie Strata man! =)

  • @Collosnick Ha. Ha. Funny. Really.

    No, no "Squier" here.......

  • @AJfenderbender crazy man, it sounds nothing like a violin.............LOL FACE TEEHHEE __̴ı̴̴̡̡̡ ̡͌l̡̡̡ ̡͌l̡*̡ ̴̡ı̴̴̡ ̡̡͡|̲̲̲͡͡͡ ̲▫̲͡ ̲̲̲͡͡π̲̲͡͡ ̲̲͡▫̲̲͡͡ ̲|̡̡̡ ̡ ̴̡ı̴̡̡ ̡͌l̡̡̡̡.__ my house

  • @AJfenderbender whats wrong with squiers? are they not a good guitar to buy?

  • @chessinfantry In general they aren't terrible, just inconsistent. If you get a squier, go for the vintage series.

  • @Chamomileable Yeah.... I got a nice one that got me a good ways which is what I started out with and I wouldn't trade it for anything

  • @AJfenderbender nothing wrong with a Squier, it's wha I started with and it got me a good ways

  • @AJfenderbender Haha don't you know that all Squiers come stock with scalloped frets?

  • Can you be more specific and say what exactly you are doing?

I tried, but I didn't get the results that I wanted.

  • What an epic dude you are.

  • really awesome vid mate!! I've recently put up a video using this technique..it's called Loopy Jammy..like a rock sort of Echo Etude, be great to hear what you think!

  • ooorales!!! xD

  • great video!

  • 15 coolist sound dude

  • coool!!

  • i love how u try to teach people to get ur tone. no wayy. its just delay and overdrive guys. tone comes from the fingers. i dig the sound man. great tone and i love that bowed sound you get. keep up the vids!

  • that first part was straight out of an yngwie lesson video

  • lol roy nelson fighter from ufc is a fucking awesome player

  • brilliant work! I have just uploaded a vid of this kinda technique, Loopy Jammy it's called :)

  • nice

  • Been trying to apply this technique but getting only failure until now

  • very cool.......

  • yngwie guitarra

  • <3 Volume Swells.

  • Like the vid but why not use a volume pedal

  • @phxpilotguy steve vai and alex lifeson does it with a volume pedal... theyr surprisingly expensive

  • @phxpilotguy I don't use a volume pedal for several reasons: My guitar already comes standard with a volume knob, no need to buy a $50-$100 pedal. Pedals take more movement and effort, it's just physics. Theres more range of motion on a pedal. You will never be as fast with a pedal as with the knob. I don't care who you are.

  • @AJfenderbender But to be fair, a volume pedal does have its place as well.

  • @AJfenderbender I think a volume pedal would actually be better in situations like this. 'Cause I'm never as quick as you with it. Also it might be one of the things with Fender knobs.

  • @AJfenderbender You couldn't be more wrong. You can also do more with your right hand picking wise and get the fluctuating volume sound without being forced to do a constant down picking motion if you had a volume pedal. You're simply limiting your playing so you can seem like a big shot who is good enough that he doesn't need one. The simple fact is you can do MORE with one.

  • @Griminal Dude, whatever. Show me your video where you can play volume swells with your FOOT faster than I can play them with my hand. I also don't think that my picking hand is limited at all, thanks. I don't think, and never have thought that I'm a "big shot". I was just sharing. Lets see you share.

  • @AJfenderbender I never said faster. I said I can do it just as fast with my foot as you can with your hand. And yes, if your hand if forced to doing the swelling, then there are picking techniques you cannot perform with swelling as well. Hence your limiting your playing. If I use my foot for the swell, then all of a sudden my picking hand is free to do so much more because I'm not restricting its movement by using it to swell.

  • @AJfenderbender Maybe you werent trying to sound like a big shot, but saying " . You will never be as fast with a pedal as with the knob. I don't care who you are." is just stupid. Plain and simple. You can adjust the movement on pedals needed to swell so you hardly have to move your foot at all. It's clear you have no idea about volume pedals.

  • @AJfenderbender You summed it up PERFECTLY when you said "Let's see YOU share" YouTube is FULL of all these rock stars who run their mouth and are quick to critique, and "share" their opinion, no matter how unfounded it may be. But RARELY ever post videos of their own self proclaimed awesomeness (eye roll) As for the video in question, great tone, great technique. The violin swell is something I'm still trying to wrangle. Thanks for sharing!

  • Why not use a volume pedal

  • sorry but how exactly does this work. I dont have a guitar my own. Do you manually adjust the volume or is this a effect to do just that? This sounds great, extremely violin like

  • @BuddhaMaster84 what hes doing is plucking the string with the volume completely off and then rolling it on slowly by hand with the volume nob. with the delay you get the effect of multiple violins playing together

  • malmsteen later sewd him for this

  • AMAZING MAN ! GOOD JOB ;) Guitar for life !

  • Amazing!

  • you are INSANE

  • Sounds better with a Volume pedal

  • Nice playing, but do wear sleeves in the future :P

  • @Dan4157 even if he was naked in this video ... still pretty cool

  • @rwd4life Lol, you have a point xD

  • I don't know about you guys but khmm this guy rules :D really helped me out here thank you

  • speachless dude.....just speachless

  • Nice thanks for this post, I had the volume swell down, but could not figure out the delay speed... 800 ML seconds, aweosome!

  • Oh wow, hahahaha you are awesome friend.

    Mind = Blown

  • is that scalloped?

  • @rjt80b don't worry about him... he spams the same message on every video with the violin technique

  • Awesome!!! XD

  • it sounds more like horns to me...but still cool.

  • Dosen't reverse delay produce a similar effect?

  • Very nicely played - Thanks

  • your use use a pedal or use the pote of volumen?

  • do you have the tabs man????????

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • that was insanely awesome!!!!! XD i couldnt do that even if you where here in person!!! XD thats awesome!!!

  • dammit i hav an epiphone XD the volume is farther away

  • @CAP1997FURACAO i share the same feeling mate!!XD

  • This is too cool to put in words. Reminds me of a full orchestra playing!

  • that was pritty BA. i thought i'd have to get a violin bow to get that sound out of a guitar. now i dont. sweetness.....

  • ritchie blackmore invented this

  • With the volume knob thingo, this sounds like creepy music on one of those creepy movies! This is cool! You're cool! =)

  • sweet

  • woooaoaaaahhhh nice one XD

  • Woooaaaahhhh nice one

  • excellent a lot of practice showed here to fantastic results well done

  • master !!!

  • Strat works well for this technique because of the position of the volume knob. Practice.

  • thats some whacky shit. gotta try it.

by the way this guy looks like big country roy nelson.

  • Yeah that sounds epic !

  • how do scalloped neck feel cause i was thinking about scaloping my guitars neck

  • @themusic928

at first u hate them, try it out on a cheap guitar and see if u like it, give it time is my advice :)

  • @pabcq i want to on a cheap first act but my dad isnt to sure about it

  • thanks for the tips! :P

  • Lol That delay was SICK. XD

  • awesome!!!

  • awesome!!!! dude u rock!

  • dude....good shit

  • dude....good shit

  • Wow! y no tienes deditos de rana sino de marrano!!!

  • haha cool.

  • You simply use volume swells?

  • Sounded like a harpsichord duet with a violin! awesome !

  • With volume: Do you go form 0-10 ? Or 0-5 ?,... Cause i cant turn it so fast form 0-10, and whenever i try to i can only do 0-3, but its too quiet!! ... Any tips? Shall i try better from 1-... ? (With strat volume ofcourse)

    Thanks!

  • nice!

  • So you do the same thing that Yngwie did on Echo Etude? Sick.

  • ^^^^^^^^ yngwie fan

  • mad skills my friend. and props to ya for playing on a scalloped fretboard

  • @BicycleRider09 what is a scalloped fretboard?

  • @LtdMusic, it is a fret board with the frets sort of dug in, so that you can get more speed of your playing.

  • @K7classicrockfan you don't necessarily get speed, it depends on the player, cuz if the player is used to get a hard grip at the guitar while playing, he'll bend the string into the fretboard and send the note out of pitch. but, if he's used to have a loose grip, then he'll be able to play correctly...

but apart from that, a scalloped neck allows more control in vibrato and bends...

  • @XavSch , hey thanks! This effect is really cool, i got a similar video as him on my channel, I"m not as good as this guy though.

  • Superb

  • scalloped frets?

  • compression

  • your'e the man..

  • what delay pedal do you use? im looking for one like the pedal you use where you can actually set the lag of the sound

  • Love your play! thanks!

  • Fucking awesome! U should post the tabs for that!

  • sounds a bit like yngwie malmsteen.

  • I just noticed- you look like the guy from Pineapple Express and Knocked Up!!!!!!!!!1

  • Seth Rogan?

  • @gerioniam Yeah lol

  • wurrrrstfinger:D

  • Nice axe. I've totally thought about scalloping a neck of mine, but I don't know how to do it, nor can I afford anyone to do it for me.

But then again, do I really need that much control over the vibrato and bends?

  • Phil Keaggy's been doing that effect since the late 60's.

  • Like Violin and trumpet... Cool!

  • this is awesome...thanks!

  • You play like Yngwie!! :D

  • kan u do dat with any delay pedal?

  • Thats just unbelieveable comment aznscboi. Good luck with your life. Very good video!

  • Yngwie Malmsteen style (and guitar).

  • this is amazing :D i gotta practice this!

  • Good Job man! Sounds awesome. Do you have tabs for the different sections?

  • this miigt be stupid but do you think this'd work on a bass to make a cello or double bass sound?

  • I wanna that effect in my guitar, but in guitar fx box. How can I do?

    Sorry for my english.

  • maybe with the "slow gear" effect, that is build-in in many multi-fx units

  • Du brauchst 600ms delay und ein bisschen distortion.

In jeden fx box gibt es die beide fx.

  • Dank Sie

  • 0:47 titty jiggle

  • y u lookin at his tit, dude? u like? fag.
