  • Anyone else find this infectiously catchy?

  • Watch them live tonight at Sheffield, Leadmill absolutely fantastic band. Criminally underated - <3 Turin Brakes

  • This has to be the only song with a lyric about WD40!!

  • got here from You Don't Understand Me by The Raconteurs! major props to people for hearing the subtle similarities. I like both songs! :D

  • this brings back many childhood memories, my father always used to listen to this, he was friends with 1 of them before they hit the big time, its a shame he still doesnt listen to them as much...

  • great song. like many others have already said, this is sooo under-rated it's not true.

  • This band deserve so much more notoriety :(

  • Someone, please

I'm looking for that Turin Brakes song that goes with the clip of a guy watching some 'adult entertainment' on his TV as a woman makes her way into his appartment. Scared.

Eventually she (most likely) jumps out of the window.

Does anybody know what song I mean?

  • @RoyPortel Last Chance, (;

  • Genious video production, Great tune!!

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • This should have so much more views!

  • @ anyone who thinks his voice puts people off does NOT understand turin brakes AT ALL

  • If you like Turin brakes then you might like another British band called FOSSIL COLLECTIVE - they have a great vid on youtube for a song called On & On - go check it out xx

  • Just spended hours trying to find this song/band. Amazing why difficult is was. They are not on the wikipedia list of indie bands. Anyway I heard Brooken Bells and thought of them. Only thing I could remmember was "save me from myself" and then Cyborg. :-) Great song.

  • Describes my existence !

  • @HippyCalliach snap

  • @modette69er precautionary advice from the bicycle safety manual :)

  • @HippyCalliach Shank's pony for me then!!!

  • @modette69er mind the ice :)

  • @HippyCalliach im staying clear of the ice;)

  • Great tune & video...I also see it as a great tribute to River too!

  • This brings me back. When I was little, my mum and dad always used to play turin brakes in the car. Good times :)

  • Its great how they go to "My Own Private Idaho" with the narcoleptic fits and imagery flash right before it

  • i finally figured out who the singer looks like...mike mcready from pearl jam...great band, great tunes, always great videos!

  • Great song, great video, was/is a big part of my life!

  • Quality

  • Balham's finest. The only tune I ever put any effort in to learning on the guitar

  • So underated... fell in love with this band years ago... amazing and the music transports you to another place!

  • Amazing.

  • I used to have seizures, I often wondered what it looked like from the outside to see someone just keel over for no apparent reason....

  • love this song. the album its off is one of my top 5 all time

  • Only 15,555 views deserves more!!

  • soooo much fun to solo along to...great song

  • IN THE POCKET! I love this old song! I must admit though - the first time I heard it (it was released in 2001) I actually thought it was a middle aged woman singing (sorry Olly). It's a classic and the album in awesome too!!!!!

  • River Phoenix RIP

  • kickin up dust!! good

  • TUNE!!

  • these guys are brilliants and f**king hilarious live...

  • this is SUCH a good song!

  • save me from myself...

  • Terrible video. I mean, I love the track, been a fan of the Turin Brakes for years, but what the hell.

  • their vids are always kinda weird!

    that's their style!

    i love it!!

  • im pretty sure its meant to resemble the movie "my own private idaho"...i could be wrong but i think thats the idea...in which case it makes a lot more sense

  • Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh mannnnnn...

That the idea!!! I saw that movie and when i saw this video...I remembered the movie...not pretty good actually....but, however...It's a really good song! I love it..

    say hi and goodbye!!!

  • @xFlathippyx

yeah, that was my thought too, although I spent the first half of the video wondering why Olly had developed 'uncontrollable falling down' before I figured it out.

I love the way Gale keeps catching him too

  • I think they're a bit Marmite. Olly's voice can put some people off. I think they're bloody amazing.

  • you think? i agree that his voice can put peeps off, as i think it sounds feminine, but i love the guitar/solos and the lyrics :)

  • Just guessing really. :-)

  • This is the song that first led me to the Turin Brakes; I found it on an obscure little compilation CD about six years ago and fell in love on the spot. I'm happy to have discovered them and have been trying my best to spread the word ever since...

  • Perhaps it 's preferable that they have never quite become bigtime, it good to think i'll get to see them live in a smallish club

  • Actually, that's a good point. I've yet to see them live; I must start making enquiries.

  • A Quiet Riot? Great compilation, and my first introduction to them as well.

  • No, I forget the name but it was an otherwise forgettable "Britpop" collection.

  • Gott a giveTurin Breaks the credit they deserve... I saw them in Edinburgh a couple of years ago. Fantastic live acoustic!!!

  • spaghetti !

  • not enough air play!!!! they were sorta popular in Australia in 2001 but nothing since. the Optimist LP is one of my favourite albums of all time.

  • not even among indy fans how sad

  • this video is not getting the popularity it deserves

  • I agree!! I wonder why these guys never really caught on...?

  • @dandygray

    well said :)

  • @dandygray I completely agree:/ But they were loved back in the day :D (y)
