So why do replicants risk a return to earth, when life extension is an in-fact impossibility and mutiny & murdering a human crew to commandeer a vessel is an obvious capital offense that will attract a dragnet?

Deckard asks early on, and is clearly lied to so that he’ll shoot to kill on sight without reflection. Serious sexual intercourse with Rachel gives him pause, and Deckard clearly questions M.O. by his behavior afterward.

The question is never answered.

This movie has a hole in it.  It is stated as a known, that once gene-recombination is in it is impossible to increase lifespan.

At best the replicants returning to earth supposedly seeking "more life," must be aware that they are acting on a hunch and that no extension may be possible. Ofcourse staging a mutiny and killing a human crew to comandeer a vessel is a capital offense that will get them killed if caught.

The question of why do they return to earth, is never answered.

I'm annoyed. i have the two disc hd dvd blade runner but the english non hd audio is only dolby prologic. the english audio is only in 5.1 for dolby digital true hd audio. YEt all the other languages have been done in dolby 5.1 non hd audio apart from english.

yes fronio, disc 3 of the 5 disc set has the "1982 THEATRICAL VERSION".
