At 1:33 check out the guy in the light blue jacket, has to stop clapping, and then re starts. Thats the impact Elvis had on people.R.I.P Elvis - Still the King
I fully agree. The thing is, WE called Elvis King, he didn't need a famous friend to call him that and then use that in all his promo. He was humble enough to be uncomfortable when we DID call him King, which of course made us like him and respect him even more. Long live the King.
Probably, but MJ took that move from inner city kids more than Elvis specifically, which he acknowledged. Certainly Elvis must have influenced him, as he did virtually every performer that came after him. That being said, Elvis too had his influences: the Gospel music he grew up with, Hank Snow, and African American rock & roll pioneers like Rufus Thomas, B.B. King and Fats Domino (who Elvis himself ackowleded as the real King of Rock and Roll). No one is 100% original.
If somebody doesnt likes this music or Elvis, men, Have to go to see a doctor, because Elvis was, is and will be forever the biggest star of world music.
Elvis was the King of Rock'n'roll. Unfortunately he never picked up a grammy for the music he was famous for: Rock'n'roll!!!
He had a long succesful career, but in my opinion, the early years were THE BEST.
He inspired millions and kicked the gates open for so many that rushed in behind and were able to get exposure. His movies were rather crappy except for KING CREOLE which showed he could have been a great actor had he been given decent plots and roles.
yes the movies for the most part were not shall we say "deep" but let's not forget he made 29 of them in 9 years (more than most actors can claim) and each was a box office success (which almost no actor can claim) AND, at the time was the highest paid actor in history. those facts speak for themselves i think
Elvis made a lot of crap, but he will always be forgiven because of the indelible impression he established with masterful performances like this one. Great is not strong enough a word.
Fortunately, most people who arrive at this site do so to watch the 'greatest' do what he did best: be the 'greatest'. Holding a microphone, Elvis was without an equal. Those who deny that don't know music. So ignore MW145; he's a fool and the world is full of them.
mw145 u are a piece of shit have sum fucking respect elvis was the greatest there was and there will never be anyone else like him. u dont know music u dont know talent and u have no fucking respect what so ever u fucking fuck fuck you u dick head
yeah, and his daughter married jacko, a whole family of perverts! presley was on the same level as gary glitter but for some reason got away with it? oh, and all 3 of the vile 'kiddie fiddling' bastards couldnt sing either.
hillbilly? you stupid twat. and the fat fucker who sang this had alot of 'human'??? flesh! the drug addict burger chewing dickhead wasted his life away. just as well, saved us all from more possible shit to the ears. thank fuck he died young!
Has anyone ever noticed the one guy, in the crowd, who mimics every move the king is making! Watch for him when the camera gives Elvis a semi-closeup he is directly in the background!!!
This video personifies ELVIS .....It's sad how he ended up....When I think of ELVIS , I think of movies like Lovng You and this film clip .........He was PRUE GENIUS !....I still miss him
I'm Writing this on the 30'th anniversary of Elvis's death, and as I write local TV stations are "honoring" Elvis by playing his godawful films from the 60's. Young people watching this crap must justifiably be wondering what all the fuss was about, and rightfully so. If only they could watch him perform "Mean Woman Blues" from "Loving You", (which is very seldom shown), then they could catch a glimpse of the charisma that changed music forever. Rest easy Elvis.
I think that one of the dislikes of this clip is the guy in the white jacket with the Teddy Boy hairstyle....
