You know, I'm amazed that Marie Wilson isn't better known than she is... She's a "dumb blonde" in the tradition of Jean Hagen, Monroe and Mansfield, Judy Holiday, Barbara Nichols, etc., and she had an extremely sustainable career. This movie excerpt was from 1961; my earliest knowledge of her was as the ditzy secretary in the second film adaptation of THE MALTESE FALCON, "SATAN MET A LADY," (1936) and her performance there was a virtual template for Marilyn Monroe's later screen persona.
Yes she was a lovely actress. She should have been better known. She got typecast as a dumb blonde even though she was a very accomplished woman.
