I was only a couple of years old when this took place. Just 1 when Freddie died. My dad remembers exactly where he was and what he was doing when he heard. Queen were my dads favourite band and I was brought up on them. He always says his one of his biggest regrets was that he never saw Freddie live. I wish I could have done. Queen and Freddie are and always will be legends and music icons. RIP Freddie.

To me Queen are nothing short of an inspiration. I too was raised on Queen's music and to be honest I will never tire of hearing it Freddie's Majestic Voice, Brians Sensational Guitar, Rogers Powerful drums and John's Solid Base. I feel sorry for john deacon. Freddie was a rock for john to cling to. When freddie died john took it really badly and never really got over it. He thought it was wrong for queen to carry on so he retired. I don't blame him I would have done the same thing.
