good night Freddie...we love you and we miss you....Rock In Peace...in heaven...thank you for the most wonderful times...thank you...for the magic that you,John,Roger and Brian placed all over the world...stay safe my friend...*cries next to his statue*
@apocberlin1984 I believe a lot of people have great respect for the decission not to keep going with a new singer. even if they, by some miracle, found someone remotely close. he was simply the voice, the carisma, the showman, the soul...all in one
They forgot one man...the allmighty Bruce Dickinson. The only one who can keep up with freddie. If you dont believe me, check out his cover of bohemian rhapsody.
WOW! ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THEY SPELT JAMES HETFIELD'S NAME WRONG IN THE CREDITS? They spelt it as James Hatfield instead of Hetfield. Major screw up whoever was in charge of them credits
@deathwatch1980 I can't believe how low this new generation has sunk. Just look how many talented artists there were at the time, all paying there respects to the Champion Freddie Mercury. And this has got to be the best crowd of all time!! I wish I could've been at least in this concert but I was only 3yrs old at the time :-(
when something like that happens I stop believing in death ... I only see art, eternal life and love... when something like that happens I believe in God.
She took part in it because Freddie was such an admirer of hers and they were good friends. Whether she did justice to the song or not, she did it for Freddie and for Queen
@cruzetu Im sure she was picked for the song because she has done more work for AIDS than any other single performer with the exceptoin of maybe Elizabeth Taylor
Everyone who really loved Freddie: Axl, Slash, Extreme, Elton John, Liza, David Bowie, Metallica, Gary Cherone, Roger D., Tonny Lommi, George MIchael, Robert Plant, Seal, Zucchero and The Queen Members
I was only a couple of years old when this took place. Just 1 when Freddie died. My dad remembers exactly where he was and what he was doing when he heard. Queen were my dads favourite band and I was brought up on them. He always says his one of his biggest regrets was that he never saw Freddie live. I wish I could have done. Queen and Freddie are and always will be legends and music icons. RIP Freddie.
@mattdude90 I feel exactly the same way. Im 21 So I also wasn't born early enough to see Queen play as a 4 live and I never saw, arguably the greatest vocalist of all time live. To me Queen are nothing short of an inspiration. I too was raised on Queen's music and to be honest I will never tire of hearing it Freddie's Majestic Voice, Brians Sensational Guitar, Rogers Powerful drums and John's Solid Base. Queen Will live Forever! R.I.P Freddie
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS TO HAVE SUCH A WONDERFUL BAND THE QUEEN AND SUCH A WONDERFUL MAN FREDDIE MERCURY I LOVE YOU FREDDIE YOU WILL NEVER DIE IN OUR HEARTS
I feel sorry for john deacon. Freddie was a rock for john to cling to. When freddie died john took it really badly and never really got over it. He thought it was wrong for queen to carry on so he retired. I don't blame him I would have done the same thing.
at the end of the concert, during the ending credits, there is a beautiful piano song; is there anyone who knows that song?I've looke for that for a long time!
The concert was so incredible ... and you could see that Roger and Brian got visibly upset on various occasions ... the atmosphere was electric though ... and me and my friend cried quite alot! It really was amazing ...
