  • Nice!

    Old is gold! :)

  • I would love theses new camaros if they weren't too damn heavy!power to weight ration is a bitch O.o until then,1st gen,3rd gen n 4th gen camaros are my favorites!

  • big brother showing over weight little brother how to"run"

  • @IROCwarriorAMC88 fair enough

  • @IROCwarriorAMC88 Im in the military too lol, its not that time consuming i have plenty of time to go the strip on the weekends. I just dont know why u would go from a LS1 to a TPI 5.7, that motor is god awfully slow.

  • @IROCwarriorAMC88 u shoulda kept the LS1 lol. TPI is cool for back in the day but dont try and tell me ur 3rd gen stands a chance against my 4th gen.

  • @IROCwarriorAMC88 if your looking for cheap chevy performance at its greatest go for the 98 - 02 ls1 cars. I had a 86 IROC great car loved it, sold it to one of my good friends in hoping he appreciated it as much as i did. But god damn that LS1 slays the new LS3 5th gen camaro with ease. Well especially with my Long tube headers, straight 3 inch pipe, MS4 cam, 4L65e tuned tranny, 3600 stall, and SLP intake on fat meats. Shit it eats corvettes for breakfast. Make the 4th gen choice u wont regret.

  • Third gen all day.

  • THIRDGEN FTW!!!

  • What happened, did the new maro forget to accelerate? it almost looks slow motjon, this makes me wanna race one and win. 89 supercoupe cammed, n bolt ons

  • @IROCwarriorAMC88 cool! :D

  • I got 85 iroc camaro badazz dude

  • @TheCrazyrok Thx man! :D

  • @IROCwarriorAMC88

    :-) Nice!!!

  • @IROCwarriorAMC88 thx! :D

  • Look how much smaller and poised the IROC looks. GM was so ahead of it's time.

  • @StratoBlaster420 I totaly agree, its obvious its a 80's car but the design was futuristic. GM still went that way with the new ones, i can see old lines of all generation in it and also futuristic lines and design. As for my Iroc, since its well preserved, it turns head alot from people of all ages.

  • @StratoBlaster420 I was in a mall parking lot this summer waiting for my girl and i was parked close to a heavily modified acura and some others imports from a group of younger kids and after a couple of minutes they were all around my car saying how mean and great it looked. Of course some were saying that the acura would pass me but when i left with a min of 40 feets of rubber trail i saw all their mouths wide open and eyes as big as a their mouths lol! ;)

  • @StratoBlaster420 Goe's to show that for a 80's car it rocks!!

  • @therain2010 Even compared to most modern cars it still is superior! These cars could probably out handle at least 50% of the vehicles on the roads today.

  • those 2010s haul ass on the quarter mile, not so much right off the line though. whats the build on your iroc?

  • @WHITEPOPOLO its a 350/300 GM crate engine, standard tpi, 24 pds injectors, hawks third gen ram air kit, 58 mm throttle body, ported plenum, msd box, K/N, chipped, modified 700 r4 trany, 373 gears. Puts out 350 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque now. :D it sure runs good! still modest but have plans for the future.

  • @therain2010 soo sick

  • It's an 87 so most likely a 350.

  • does the IROC have the 305 or the 350 in it?

  • lol where did you hear that! are you refering to what the girl is saying?

  • what is chin chun ching chienie mean?

  • @Flubuh lol where did you hear that! are you refering to what the girl is saying?

  • @therain2010 yes at 0:23 check it out

  • @therain2010 I think so 0:23 xDD

  • @Flubuh lol she was only saying " its my boyfriend that won" in french

  • nice kill ;-)

  • always remember to not understimate old machines hehe ;)

  • @VinciGT2 ;)

  • Of course the IROC won 1/8mi. The new SS is S L O W off the line. 1/4mi it will catch up most likely. Plus the old school looks 1000x better. 100% stock an '87 was not all that quick. Took until '88 B4 the Z and T/A could beat my little '86 5.0 back in the day.

  • @marcomariaz26 interesting..not how the tests from the mid 80s show it.. being near dead heat driver race in the strait line but when the road got twisty the IROCZs had there way with the 5.0s...iam sure you never raced a G92 option Z28 ...the were the only..only f body cars that beat the 5.0 in the 1/4 mile after 87 it took the 350 too keep up with the lighter mustang..to this day i run side by side with stock 5.0s with my old 220hp 5.0l 305 LB9 TPI Iroc

  • @YellowCamaro85 True. The 305 TPI cars could handle the 4.9 Mustangs, especially the GTs. Those notchback LX's were tough though.

  • @marcomariaz26 have to say that it wouldn't have caught up on the 1/4 mile, I'm right there beside the 425 hp srt8's on the 1/4 mile and have done other work since then! :D I've put in some details on my page!

  • @therain2010 Nice to see the old IROCs running so good.

For the record, the SRT8's will not outrun that SS. We have an 08 here at my dealership (owner's wife's car) and we've run it against an 06 GTO (several times) an 05 CTS-V and a 1996 LT4 Vette......It gets beat badly each time.

  • @johntvette haha srt8s are big for nothing, sorry to say

  • @marcomariaz26 slow off the line? I turned a 2.0 60', ran the 1/8th in 8.581 @ 84.57mph in a pretty much STOCK automatic 2SS with muffler delete and an x-pipe, which while they make the car louder add almost NO extra power...

  • yea it is slow but not the ford mustang super snake

  • its all about the iroc z, i needa fix up my engine for more torque and hp

  • was the 2010 version the v6model, doesn't appear to be an SS? but eitherway,NICE IROC! Great run.Nice way to show a 3rd gen still got it! I think alot of people sleep TPI Engines,But I'm a fan of them! I'd be shocked though to pull off on the new Camaro. But awesome vid!

  • @RANS87IROCZ Thanks man! I do take care of it alot, supercharger might come in next year! :D The 2010 was a SS, they are slow off the line cause they are heavy. But without any mods it wouldn't have caught up with me anyways on the 1/4 mile, my lil 350 runs great!! You can read on the mods I did on it higher in the comments, modest power but again, runs great!

  • @therain2010 I dream of a paxton myself! or that twin turbo would just kick ass! as much as I luv new Camaro, wouldn't trade my IROC in, for one! yours is proof they are quik! glad to own one here.some mods to, infact same engine from when I got it, but on 4th Trans! and 2nd rear, lol. I hate when people dis on TPI, tell me I'm wasting my time, and that LT1 or greater, is how I should go.But I can eat stock 2001 Mustang GT's, like snack cakes!

  • @RANS87IROCZ here's a page I found on porting the plenum and where to port it, its very nice! it will GREATLY improve airflow, I'm planning to do it for next summer!! check the other related pages as links on the page.

    Keep it up dude!! :D

    gmtips.com/3rd-degree/dox/tips/plen-port/port.htm

  • @therain2010 I tried link, even added the 3w's,and htt,but no good will try later. thanks though. for sure would try to port mine, also want a TPI intake manifold upgrade, and bigger runners.every year I try to do something to the car. I'm also on CarDomain ,cool place to post pics of your ride, like myspace for cars, but hey thanks man!

  • @RANS87IROCZ add the triple w dot before the link, can't put it on youtube it seems :p

  • @RANS87IROCZ well I dont understand why the link dont work but, try typing only gmtips.com and you will find your way to it, once you are in clic the link " 3rd" and then "enter here" on next page, alot of fun thinds on tpi's and mods in there! enjoy!

  • @RANS87IROCZ it is an ss camaro the one with out the rs package. i belive

    the ss1 package

  • @RANS87IROCZ it was an SS dude

  • @therain2010 yeah a while ago you told me that, kickass to see it run against the new like that. I believe by now its far possible, nice run!!

  • hell yeah old school ftw!

  • man those new camaros are TANKS. that sucks so bad. i dont know why chevy decided to make it so huge. i mean cmon!!! its common sense you know?

  • I read that there is a "problem" regarding the fuel trims on the new camaro, Alot of owners came back to the dealers and they downloaded new fuel trims settings in the ECM that greatly improved the performance. And I know you can add 100 horses on the new camaro only with a chip and new exhaust!!!

  • damn really? thats awesome!!! i wish my iroc could gain those numbers with headers and a chip hehe. hmmm thats pretty cool. so in a way they have like a "hidden" horsepower gain hehe.

  • what you running the 87?

  • its a 350/300 GM crate engine, standard tpi, 24 pds injectors, hawks third gen ram air kit, msd box, K/N, chipped, modified 700 r4 trany, 373 gears. Puts out 340 hp and 400 lb of torque, its not a bomb but it leaves the stock new camaros behind! and most mustangs :p it runs great! I run a flat 8 sec on the 1/8 mile and 13 flat on the 1/4 mile.
