I only found out last night that General Massoud was assassinated 2 days before 911. In relation to the video, the sound is very badly mixed. At times the narration is muddled with the diegetic voices when one should be faded down. Also, it sounds as though there are translated portions but the translation is so quiet all you can hear is the untranslated Persian. I guess this may be because it was scraped up from 1997... It's a shame, it makes it difficult to understand certain parts.
Any group who think destroying schools that teach basic education (maths, language etc.) because they aren't teaching pure Islam shouldn't be in control of a country. This is very suspect as far as the US is concerned as it was his men that they ended up paying to help them fight the taliban. In relation to the video, the sound is very badly mixed. At times the narration is muddled with the diegetic voices when one should be faded down. Also, it sounds as though there are translated portions but the translation is so quiet all you can hear is the untranslated Persian. I guess this may be because it was scraped up from 1997... It's a shame, it makes it difficult to understand certain parts.

The US made a grave mistake in not backing this man financially, they gave money to the Taliban instead (when they wanted the Soviets defeated). Massoud effectively won the war against the Soviets anyway, due to his brilliant skills as a commander no doubt, but where did feeding the Taliban money get the US? It is time the US faced up to our many mistakes & take responsibility for them! Massoud was a great man in many ways, it is a terrible shame that he was assasinated
