Wondering if this artist is the same one that did Soul's theme... sounds like him, anyway. I imagine it is... I have to say I absolutely loved the background music/character themes with this anime. I can honestly say I've never watched an anime and thought, 'Whoa I love the music playing in the background!' until I watched Soul Eater. Kid's theme, Soul's theme, this one, and Maka and Soul's theme are by far and large my favorites, but the entire compisition is really awesome.

I think in the Japanese crona's gender is unknown, but the english interpretation saw crona as a boy. Thats just how I put it. Plus, in pairings I ship with crona in them, I use crona as a boy.

@ThereWillBeBreakfast Yeah. The mangaka for Soul Eater even said that he didn't know or care what Crona's real gender was. So...yeah.

They decided to go with Crona being male in the english dub because, unlike Japan, English doesn't have nongendered pronouns.

Sadly, the only one who would know Crona's gender besides Crona (Medusa) calls Crona an 'it'.

Someone told me in the manga, Medusa referred crona as her "daughter". Far as I know Crona is a boy in the anime (both english and japanese) and a girl in the manga, but i pretty much reffer of Crona as a boy X3

You may or may not already know this, but the story covered in the anime diverges from the manga's plot around 35 episodes in. However, the studio is very interested in making another Soul Eater anime once the manga develops, maybe to try and follow the original manga's plot from where they diverged, similar to what they're doing with FMA Brotherhood.

It's such a shame the Soul Eater anime had such a suckish ending...it was perfect for a long time, and theres no way bones would even consider remaking it I doubt if this is the kind of expectations it will have (all of the character themes are so...awesome! ahhh). well now that the soul eater manga isn't even running weekly anymore, there's no hope for a future anime. its monthly like fma.

I didn't hate the first fma anime, but I think I'm gonna like the new series more when it starts to get into the later chapters that weren't in the old series. Its started really well so far. You can tell they are moving through the old stuff really fast though.
