What a pity you stopped. With an out-of-tune reed- organ (aren't they all?) which must be like driving a tractor, a straight pedalboard and lumberjack boots you turn in this excellent performance. Well done! (Post it again, and this time, let's hear the whole thing, preferably without the hound.)
If this is badly played, then all I can say is that I wish I could play as badly!! It's very well played indeed - and the pedalling is extraordinary! Really, really well done!
I am speechless. The Reed Organ is magnificent to be sure, but your technique with the Bach? ASTOUNDING! Badly played? NO WAY! (You should hear some of the things In have in my life.)
@Musique3579 I think he just wanted to be modest about himself. I like a classically trained musician who thinks less of his abilities. It's a nice change from all those other "virtuosos" out there.
I played a Mason and Hamlin pump organ once a few years ago. I think it was the nicest pump organ I've played. Their pianos, which are still being made, are amazing.
I`ve never seen a three manual reed, thanks for sharing. I had a two manual and pedal years ago, it pumped from the side, so it was a two person job. Used to enlist my wife as a helper until I adapted a vaccum cleaner to provide the suction. I now have an Allen 120C and wife can relax. Incidently, my dog loves to lay by the console when I play. Thanks again.
Beautiful sound from a great instrument. If I could play as well as this when I hadn't seen the music for ages, as you say is the case, then I'd be extremely pleased. Thank you for sharing it with us.

How u can have a 32' Bordun in such a small organ, or is it bigger than that what u show us in the Video?
MegaDani141 6 months ago
@MegaDani141
The organ dosn't have pipes, it only works with reeds. The size of a 32' reed no way neer a 32' pipe. But the vibrations and the pitch are the same.
