Hi Allen thats a nice arrangement, love the sound, you play this with a lott of feel,by the way I play this song now also on You Tube check it out, put in Kees Nipius Tenderly, cheers Kees.
Beautiful, I always liked this piece, fine composition, and I agree with Igor played with tenderness and musical feel, these compositions are so great and you do them justice Allen, man what a sound that guitar has very warm and tender,Vic.
That would be a bonafide treat! Do you think Mrs. Owens would dare make some of her top-shelf vittles? HAO3 could whip up some good velveeta dip, but thankfully the Missus would bring home the real goods! We should be in town in June and I'll be sure to let you know. -PGH
Allen - Right toward the end I was going to say "Wow those last three chords were amazing"... then it kept going. So now I have to say those last fifteen chords were amazing. You sure do have an ear. Thanks. 5*****
What a coincidence! I plan to do dis with Pat Enz and my (other) singer Andy Klein in a couple of weeks. Your version is very inspiring. Soft, calm and, yes, tender! Beautiful voicings, especially those fill-ins between the melody parts; they open up and maintain tension! *****, what else? Jogi
Tenderly indeed! What a lovely rendition. It's played as though someone recollecting a favorite piece of music from days gone by. That's a fistful of wistful right there. : ) Thanks for the de-stresser. Perry Como would've loved you! As we all do! Hugs, ~Terry
This tune brings back some great memories for me. I first heard this back in the 60s when I was just starting to play chord melodies. For some reason it;s been on the back burner for awhile.
Thank you for your kind and ALWAYS thoughtful words
Hi Allen, beautiful voicings and harmonization of the theme, indeed in the JS tradition, calm and inventive, this is such an attractive style, I remember hearing Joe Pass the first time and running off to the record shop to buy that solo record of his. I teurned it so many times that the needle came through the other side, lol, great job here,Vic.
Johnny always impressed me with his super clean playing and good taste. Joe had to be the king of on the fly inventiveness in my book.
Those guys are from another planet and were just visiting us for awhile. Johnny is well into his 80s and sadly does not play anymore. Joe left us way too soon. Fortunately for us they left behind a tremendous body of work for us to study.
Well Allen don't worry I've ordered another extra "life time" above and he said it's cool Vic,you're using your time wisely, it's without extra costs,LOL,greets Vic.

Very nice sound. I can hear all the harmonies . All the notes are balanced. Just like a vocal group harmonizing. Do you play single lines...solo?

Thank you.
Single lines? sometimes. Check out my upload of "Golden Earrings". Lots of single lines in that one.

Standards lend themselves to many different types of arrangements, and yours is a very nice take. Your guitar has a great sound, too.

Hi,
Thanks man. I wish i could take credit for the tone. Tom Ribbecke built this guitar for me around 10 years ago. He is a wizard with wood.

How the hell are you Paul? When are you back in town? You should come by the house and say hello. We can get HAO3 and Carlton over and play some.

I did kinda drag that ending out a bit. For some reason I kept hearing additional clutter in my head.
It's a great song. Have you heard Rosemary Clooney sing this? If not, do your self a favor and check it out.

I TRIED THIS IN 'E' BUT IT SOUNDED TO BRIGHT FOR THIS ARRANGEMENT.
I NEEDED A SLIGHTLY 'SOFTER' KEY. I CONSIDERED DROP D TUNING IN THIS KEY. THAT WOULD HAVE ALLOWED ME TO PLAY FULLER SOUNDING CHORDS (IN Eb.)
OH WELL, IT IS WHAT IT IS.
