@adamcastelsay Toy story did not replace the Maliboomer, Toy story Mania opened in 2008 and the maliboomer closed in 2010 and was replaced by a park.

Why did CA Adventure remove this ride? Seems like a waste of time and money to commpletely remove this ride. And to add to that,dissappoint a ton of people.

I really hate how CA Adventure is straying away from its California theme and thinks putting in Disney movie themes will save their park. Why did they have to redo Paradise Pier? It looked fine.

I completely agree with you!!

Now I feel like Paradise Pier is a jumbled mess!! I don't understand it at all! Part of it is a victorian themed board walk, but then the other part is more modern, such as California Screamin and the Little Mermaid. The colors of Paradise Pier clash imo!

The worst part is that they replaced Maliboomer with planters and a smoking area!!!

@YummyCakeGirl The smoking area is just temporary until they make a new ride to put there. As for the theme, the whole pier is supposed to be Victorian, but the little mermaid ride does clash.

Actually no...Since Maliboomer is right in the middle of California Screamin', they are NOT going to remove it because of the potential harm it might cause for the rollercoaster.

Maliboomer is supposed to be removed after the summer 2009 season. You'll notice most of Paradise Pier is blocked off and under re-construction including doubling the size of the Californian Hotel. That will leave DCA with only two thrill rides.

I have been on that!!!All I remember was seeing Disneyland and the grizzly rapid mountain.....

I go on this ride almost everytime I'm there..which is A LOT cuz I have Disneyland passes. But the only scary part about it is the wait to shoot up..once you're up it's so much fun and it doesn't drop fast.

Yes, its true. Maliboomer will be remove in late 2008 or early 2009.

Why?

1. Tower Of Terror, a much better and highly theme version of the Maliboomer.

2.Disney feels that it is something that you can find in most amusment parks and non Disney theme parks, and is not uniqe to Disney.

3. It wont fit in with the Paradise Pier re theme.
