i remember seeing these live in a tiny pub in norwich as part of there warm up before the powertrippin tour, ive seen alot of bands in my life, this was still the best live act ive seen.
@NETMenace2012 yeah mate I went to see whats left of Lizzy in Toronto and Rick was a fine substitute for Philo,I'm sure Phil would be proud. It was an amazing show!
oh this takes me back to my 20's when you listen to them now the name almighty just sums them up so well it's a pity they are not touring down my way the south west of the uk at the junction venue if theyre still giging together thier music still stands out luv you guys :-)
Ricky has a great voice. He is presently fronting the reformed Thin Lizzy on their tour and although he isn't Phil Lynott he sounds fantastic and well worth seeing if they play near you. Great night on 7th Jan 2011 O2 Academy Glasgow.
st Georges hall Bradford! with wolfsbane, fkin awesome, broke my ankle that night too and lost my 21st birthday prezzy a brand spanker camera, only found the batteries! brilliant
met them twice great guys i owe you a slap ricky u slapped me hard haha i deserved it!!!! back stage with u guys n iron maiden such a great night! sorry for jumping on stage n knocking your guitar i was young n a twat sorry rick
this was the best english band around that era and the sound of this cd was great for that time........very powerfull band.........they changed in a better direction
Great band, saw them live at The Barrowlands in Glasgow a few times. Agree with the comments here, if they had been stateside they could easily have been a huge worldwide act. Great songs, well written and perfectly executed. Are they still going? I hope so.
If this album (sorry CD) had been an American Band then it would have been Massive same as CRANK better than anything post Grunge and before if you think of Alice Nirvana and Pearl ---- Facelift Dirt Nevermind and Ten Classics Yeah but everything after Big let down only American band that could hold their own with The Almighty were Soundgarden ENUFF SAID!!!!!!
It has been up twice, but every time it was upped, it was removed due to copyright infringement because it had the mtv logo on it, one of the users who uploaded it had their account suspended because it it, despite being a friend of the band.
Loved that band! Warwick set the trend too for short hair in metal & a new image! Metallica copied it with the vest tops, trousers & loafers in the 1990's but Warwick was the originator & started it.
it looks they got heavier after the 2 first great albuns and lost some feeling of the hard rock n'roll!! not bad but no the best!(of them) this is my opinion
im pleased to know this band existed they did such great music!!
I love the almighty, but I wish Ricky Warwick wouldn't put on an American accent. saw them last at poole arts centre in about 94 , christ I was covered in bruises after one hell of a gig
i love The Almighty soooo much! theres not enough of them on youtube! :( they are a very underrated band, no one seems to know who they are :s i would love to see them!!!
OMG! The ALmighty with HAIR! lol love 'em but only discovered them last summer at Bulldog Bash (well, just b4!) and they all have a lot less hair now! :P
See, this brings back wonderful memories to me...Almighty's the only band whose lyrics I know by heart! Every one of them! Though I have never got the chance to see them live, I've got all their albums and, live shows and videos...plus many, many, interviews from Headbangers Ball golden age...remember Vanessa Warwick???
I used to tape all her shows on Sunday night...right after Beavis & Butthead :-) Triple thrash treat, metal collection, on the road... MTV just isn't what it used to be...thank God for VH1!

I can't get over this singer being the vocalist for the latest incarnation of Thin Lizzy! I
really want to hear some of it though because I keep hearing how awesome he is doing all the old Thin Lizzy material.

Heard this song for the first time when I saw them play it live at the Milton Keynes Bowl, with Metallica, Megadeth & Diamond Head.
Yes it was awesome; this song stuck in my head all the way home.
It also marked the start of a very dark chapter in my life.

You, you're not justified
To take my flesh and blood child
And rape my pride
I, I got a holocaust in my soul
You tried to shape me
But I broke the mould
My beliefs flow like blood from a stone
As I fight to stay within the dream
That rusts inside your soul....
