I'm 13 and I love to act! The only problem is that I'm from Portugal and here all actors and actresses suck. I want to move to the USA but I think I don't really have the chance. Only if I get into a college there. @crayzcayte you need to go for your dreams!! who cares what your school thinks? they are not professionls, and just talk to your mom (or dad, whoever you feel you can talk to.... even an aunt or cousin or WHATEVER...) and tell them your intrested in auditioning for some professionl acting work. you WONT regret it!!!

@javierpopable Im in a small town too, you shouldnt just be patient. If you are "patient", all the other ppl that are your age will come swipe your part right under your feet, and you will still be left being "patient". Persistence is key, but make sure not to do some big thing when you are there, be humble. I am in a small town too, I am 13 and still looking for acting jobs, just keep going, but if you are near new york, or Philly, or somewhere where they shoot films go for it!

@maddy2girl Well its important to know what kind of poem it is. Being that poetry comes in many different forms and being so, so does the way you read it. There are things where a poem might read something like this:
A small feather, swiftly soars'--' <--- that bar, is usually 1 solid bar and it means when you read you stop... for a moment to give it emphasis then keep reading. There are also rhyming schemes. (abab/aabb/abac, etc) which is basically when words rhyme at the end of each line.

I want to be a professional actress and im 14. But i get completely nervous and very scared for auditions. I have dont training, but I still get very scared, and that holds me back from doing my best. Also, because of that, my parents suggest that I do background first to get used to the set. @Pattinsonqurl well acting involves your parents bcus they will need to drive you to auditions and pay for everything, so they play a big role in acting. You should keep trying to convince them, and tell them that it IS a career and it pays ALOT! :)

@hollywoodshopaholic I think that you should look for castings near you. And if distance isn't an issue for you, then try going else where, like out of the country, if you can somehow manage that. If not then try to stay at it and when you attend college look for programs with acting as a major. I'm not sure how scholarships are for overseas but you should check into that as well.

Anyways, you need to believe in yourself and your looks, because even tho you may not be some drop dead gorgeous honey blonde with all the goods, you may still have the perfect role for you. i have never done acting or tooken acting classes before, but i know i have a talent and a love for talent. i live in what you call it "ghetto" place in LA but i would like for me to grow up my career and move away from here. im going to try out for acting classes because i really enjoy acting! hopefully i reach my dream to become an actress(:

Hi, I'm 14 and live in UK. I am really interested in acting and am thinking about becoming an actress. The problem is i am in the middle of my GCSEs and my school does not do drama. I've done quite a few performances on the piano,(i started learning it when i was 13). I love doing role plays in my English class at school. I am going to take drama and theater studies at A level. @Meettheclassics exactly same here. i just really want to know what to do and how to start. i really enjoy acting and have been in quite a few of my community theatres plays and in show choir for four years. but i don't know what my first move should be just like you its confusing and hard to trust anyone because you might get scammed or something. and especially when you come from a small town in a bland state. Hi, I want to be an actress, I have went to an audition and succeeded, but I followed the clues and found out it was a sham. I just turned 13 at september 27 :D, my parents dont have the time to take me to auditions, and I know I want to be an actress, I have done some small school plays. I just want to be on TV, not for the fame or money (even though it does sound nice) but for the fun of it, and how everyone is challenged. I am jst another 13 year old in a small NJ town, with talent. :P

@javierpopable Im in a small town too, you shouldnt just be patient. If you are "patient", all the other ppl that are your age will come swipe your part right under your feet, and you will still be left being "patient". Persistence is key, but make sure not to do some big thing when you are there, be humble. I am in a small town too, I am 13 and still looking for acting jobs, just keep going, but if you are near new york, or Philly, or somewhere where they shoot films go for it!

@maddy2girl Well its important to know what kind of poem it is. Being that poetry comes in many different forms and being so, so does the way you read it. There are things where a poem might read something like this:
A small feather, swiftly soars'--' <--- that bar, is usually 1 solid bar and it means when you read you stop... for a moment to give it emphasis then keep reading. There are also rhyming schemes. (abab/aabb/abac, etc) which is basically when words rhyme at the end of each line.

I had very little acting experince when I was little. I'm a handicapped 33 years old girl who could pass for a 16 year old. I never went to acting classes because they coast way to much. I still like to become an actress but I just don't where or how to start. My mother calls me miss drama queen.

I have dont training, but I still get very scared, and that holds me back from doing my best. Also, because of that, my parents suggest that I do background first to get used to the set. But I think that will take up time, because I want to start out young. Also, I have no experience except for one training class. Any advise?

@Pattinsonqurl well acting involves your parents bcus they will need to drive you to auditions and pay for everything, so they play a big role in acting. You should keep trying to convince them, and tell them that it IS a career and it pays ALOT! :)
thats guud your confident, and to get experience its gud to start with background acting. Im in background, and im just waiting for a couple for films to be in, them i will have enough experience to do prinical acting (talking roles)

know who to trust because there are a lot of scams out there. Luckily I just got accepted into a school that is very fine arts based on an academic scholarship. I plan on taking acting classes there since I have barely any experience and hopefully I can get on from there. I just have to live by life's rules and never give up. After reading some of these comments I began to feel more thankful, I'm seriously not bragging or anything, but I'm thankful that I at least live in an area of the US where I have access to auditions. Now my only problem is that I'm from Germany. In most of the descriptions on the internet(for auditions) it says, "actors and actresses from all over the country". But never international. What should I do in order to get a role? I know there are many other girl out there who want to become an actress , too and I'm not saying I'm better than they are, but I just want to prove what I can do. So can you pls give me some advice?

@hollywoodshopaholic I think that you should look for castings near you. And if distance isn't an issue for you, then try going else where, like out of the country, if you can somehow manage that. If not then try to stay at it and when you attend college look for programs with acting as a major. I'm not sure how scholarships are for overseas but you should check into that as well.

Anyways, you need to believe in yourself and your looks, because even tho you may not be some drop dead gorgeous honey blonde with all the goods, you may still have the perfect role for you. Look at all the stars, Tyra Banks, Beyonce, Eve, Pink, and more. They were all told once in their life that they werent pretty enough to do much in life, and look!

i am 13 and 5"2" im not really that tall. i just joined a theatre in september and would like to be in commercials, movies, plays i love acting but i havnt been doing it for that long i havnt been picked for any main roles yet either . sshould i keep going? or just get my head out of the clouds? thanks

dudette96xx: i think u should keep going , i wanna be an actress too. nd i also joined a theatre too they didnt pick me until yesterday. so dont give up one day they will pick u, just believe in yourself

This might sound cheesy but my ultimate dream is to become an actress i have been in a few plays but i dont know if thats enough people always say Im not preety enough or not old enough but I NEVER GIVE UP i need to have help in this . I can cry i can laugh i am a normal tomboyish 13 year old girl who takes acting as a passion not as a boring old job. if you are like me you will know what i am talking about. don't need to be in a movie to be big....You will see me on T.V. acting and becoming the young lady that conquered her dream and stood in front of a camera and connected with an audience I look up to actresses like Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and many more...I might not be able to sing my i do my best work hard and always try to be my self..
So if any one hears something that could fit me that would be great and i would be great full forever.

I have wanted to be an actress for a really long time. I dont have alot of expierence in plays or anything but i practice all the time! I want it so badly its hard to explain. I prefer the camera over the stage and being in movies is my ultimate dream. I understand that most performers start out in plays and i am willing to do that just not permately.

Hi i am 13 years old, and my biggest dream is to become an actress. There's no such feeling as standing on a stage.
I've never actet in movies (yet) but i hope that i will somtime in the future. That's my dream.
My only problem is: I live in The Faroe Islands. There are 2 theater classes that you can go to, but no auditions.. at all!! D; ..
But i WILL fullfill my dream! No matter what it takes!
