The first shogun vs Machida decision went to machida, because they claimed that the challanger has to be a clear victor against the champion to get the belt. Even as a fan, I don't think BJ got robbed. He simply did not use a game plan. Rather, he let his ego get the best of him by thinking Edgar would stand and slug with him. Edgar constantly went in and out of the pocket and maintained safe distance. BJ has to get real trainers with brains. He got a conditioning team, and now it is time for a true set of coaches/trainers.
@Lossforwords78 I think you're right. He would be so much better if he had some real trainers giving him real advice and not being "yes" man. He needs to dump his trainer and his brother.
@mpcc2022 I know alot of people dont know this but BJ did have a synus infection that day. A big ball n chain when your fighting. His trainers were not the problem. If you watched the fight you would know that because they kept yelling at him to take Edgar down. Ego had nothing to do with it eitherbecause BJ kept telling the media that Franky was gonna be one of the toughest fights he was ging to ever have. I can guarantee a BJ PENN victory in the rematch.
