  • Please see the intro of Art of fighting 2 to find out who that man is

    LOL!

    "Yeaaaaah! Tits!"

  • This game is so similar to street fighter apart from the power ups, but looks good for that time period

  • @bi8811

    Yep

  • @bi8811 For PC maybe but this game has had numerous us releases. Arcade, SNES and PS3.

  • Ryo looks like Ken and his name almost sounds like Ryu, pretty much like a Street Fighter ripoff.

  • Roland sound system. I can't believe the awesomeness from the PC Engine Arcade.

  • It's actually a good version, i'm impressed that in this version their faces change as the get hit, no other cvonsole has it, also the sound effects are prety good. The only thing that is annoying is the sound that makes when zoom in or out, and the backgrounds are not as detailed as in the arcade. But i think it's a great version, much better than SNES and Genesis!!!!

  • "zoom in - zoom out" is so annoying !!!

  • Godd fight, i'll admit, but you could have saved yourself some trouble by taunting 2 of the cheapest characters in the game, Jack & Lee just to minimize their cheap attacks.

  • It's a lot better than the SNES and GENNY ports, but still nowhere near the greatness of the arcade original. I guess AOF was too much for any non-NeoGeo console to handle. However, I was really impressed with the PC Engine ports of Fatal Fury 2/Special and World Heroes 2, they're extremely close to the arcade versions (save for the hit sounds).

  • @bigolebadassbob

The PC-Engine Arcade system card games were great but the load times were terribly slooooow! It would be better to just get the Art of Fighting Anthology on the PS2, same with the Fatal Fury Battle Archives 1 & 2, World Heroes and Samurai Showdown Anthology games. ;-)

  • @PeromyscusLeucopus

The load times for Fatal Fury Special wasn't bad at all, in fact it was almost non-existent.

I guess they found a way around it.

I'm with you about the other SNK ports though, the load times were so SLOW!

but they were the best NEO ports back in the day, so I didn't mind coping with the load time.

  • Nice music but this legit gave me a headache due to the dodgy zooming.

  • @DynamiteHeaddy That's because it's not actually zooming. It's changing the screen resolution on the fly. You get in close and it switches to low resolution mode. You hop back away from the opponent and it goes to the larger resolution mode. It's a neat trick, frankly.

  • @fruitbane I genuinely didn't notice this, thanks fruitbane. Yes, you're right it's a neat trick but FUCK ME does it painful. Art of Fighting for the Virtua Boy would have been nicer.

  • Holy crap, that zoom is jarring. LoL

  • THIS can't be the PC Engine, It's on the TURBO DUO, OR PC ENGINE CD. No way the Turbo could do something this close to the arcade. Do people not want others to know this was a TRUE TURBO GRAGHICS 16 game. Still a very nice version, looks better than the SEGA Genesis version. PC ENGINE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A CD BASED SYSTEM TO BEGIN WITH.

  • @stringanime It's not that close to the arcade!

I have it in my MVS 4 slot.......

  • @stringanime The CD attachment really only adds a single ADPCM channel and Redbook audio. It doesn't improve the graphics or processing capabilities of the PC Engine. Look at the PCE version of Street Fighter 2. That's on a cartridge and is a great port. Again, aside from some of the audio there's nothing here that couldn't have been done on a cartridge.

  • @fruitbane The PC Engine was a Colorful Large sprite mini-titan. I do not mean to dis-credit the colors or sprite size capabilities of the Turbo, I like turbo Graphics and wish my old Turbo games weren't malfunctioning so much with age so I can play them on my Turbo that is still hooked up. If a comparison between SNES, Turbo, and SEGA Gen/Mega Drive, I do not include CD games, cause CDs offer a new level of capacity, and it is more fun to see Hudson stand toe to toe without the need of CD.

  • I'd argue this is the best version of the game not on the Neo Geo.

  • @fruitbane

    are you kidding?!?!

the neo geo is for sure the best. its the original arcade version, this version is pretty good. but on the neo geo its better, the screen is bigger and the graphics are better.

  • @plasticboy81 You need to work on your reading comprehension. I didn't say this version is better than the Neo Geo version. It's the best of the versions not on the Neo Geo.

  • @fruitbane

oh i am sorry. my fault then.

  • shitty ending

  • lol at king's clothes being ripped when she lost.

  • @MrDreThaMighty and he goes 'YEAAAHH'

  • not a bad port at all i dident know this was on tg-16 maybe i would have bought the system if had know back then

  • great ending -_-

  • man, wasted so many quarters playing this on my local pizza place's neo geo..

  • @edwlee78 At least it wasn't wasted on Super Spy

  • man the sound effects :P
